The Nav pad would blink for no apparent reason and keeps on blinking. How do I stop it from blinking. I've got no new message whatsoever.And how do you delete multiple text messaging? Like deleting the whole inbox?

I wanted to text all of the people in my contacts list who are fathers, to wish them a happy father's day. Unfortunately, to address a text message to multiple recipients, I must remember every one of them, and type in their "letter" individually. I have to type in a letter, then pick one contact, then type in another letter, then pick another contact, then type in another, then pick...I'm sure you can see where this is going. And of course, once I thought I had gotten everybody and pressed "send", I then went into my contacts list and realized that I had forgotten several people, and had to do it all over again. Something that should have taken less than a minute instead took several minutes, and I'm sure I still likely forgot someone!!!
Just who's brilliant idea was it to remove the "+" symbol (that would open up the entire contact list for easy multiple picks) and replace it with the stupid "suggestion" arrow! They should be fired and shot...not necessarily in that order!
I have given up on trying to find the answer to this ridiculously basic question in the User Guide. (I must not be using the keywords that the user guide understands!)
how to delete multiple text messages at the same time, rather than deleting them individually? My phone is an X10 mini pro.
I've noticed that some times when I get text messages from certain contacts, the way it shows up on my informs me that it was sent to myself and X amount of people (and I can view those numbers/contacts if I have them). But what's annoying is when I try to reply to "said person" it replies to all contacts that recieve the message. Now if I hold down the message and get options, I can view the details and open the message/delete the message, and I can Reply to All... but it never lets me just reply to that person. There is no option for it. I just reply and they all get it.
Like I stated before, this is not every time I get a mass text message from someone. Some of my friends have iPhone 4s so I tested it last night with a friend sending out a text to two of us and when I received it there was no indication that it had been sent to multiple people. Also have another friend that does this a lot with his Droid 2, no issue with his either. I'm wondering if this is happening because of the way it's being sent to me (and others) but even if I can see who else it was sent to, I'd still like the option to just reply to one person.Any advice on this? I foresee people telling me to get another text messaging app though which makes me think AT&T/Motorola should really add a lot more features to their text messaging app just incase of the people that would like options..
how can i delete multiple msgs on the X6 at one go? say if i have 50 msgs and i need to delete 20 together. there is only an option to mark all msg or mark each msg separately!

I've tried updating etc. Now that little blinking envelop is starting to annoy me. How do I get it to disappear?? Or should I just take it to a Nokia care point?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an unusual issue I would like some assistance on since I just got a blackberry, I have the Curve 2 8530. I use Total Call Blocking with my carrier so that when I call anyone my number is automatically blocked / restricted. Therefore, in my contact list, I have my friends or family contacts listed with the *82 in front of the number to unblock for those people. This works fine for phone calls.
However, on Text Messaging / Picture Messaging, the *82 will cause these messages to fail. I am used to LG phones, you have the ability to edit the number while creating a message, before your send one of these messages. The problem I am having is when I send a Text Message / Picture Message it appears from the blackberry as only the 10 digit number (even though the contact has *82 in front of it)...and the message shows it is sent (with the check mark) but it NEVER received.
While typing a text message my phone decides to delete the text I have typed. Is this happening to anyone else?

View 8 Replies View RelatedActually I have 5600+ text messages in my inbox and I wouldn't really like to delete them all at once, but select like 1500 of them who are from certain people and leave the rest which makes like %70 of existing messages. Although, it is nearly impossible and needs a prophet-like patient to do that, thus I thought it is best to connect mobile to PC via using USB cable and Nokia OVI suite, whenever I have tried that it always stuck after deleting several messages(sometimes this number is 15, sometimes 30-40.. but no more then that). Stuck for my situation means, u gotta remove the battery and turn the phone again. I also tried to do the same with Nokia PC Suite, but the same as OVI happened. Manually from phone, selecting, messaging --> delete messages --> delete all message in inbox folder makes happen the same too just like trying to go in the inbox and mark all the messages there, select delete marked.
