Nokia Accessories :: 5800 Does Not Get Any Sound From BH-108 Microphone
Sep 14, 2012
I have Nokia 5800 phone and I've just bought a BH-108 bluetooth headset. Unfortunately, when I connect the headset to my phone, I encounter a pretty much peculiar problem - the phone doesn't get any sound from the headset microphone. I can clearly hear anything through it, but the phone can't hear me, nor can the people when I call them. When I am calling, I can hear the person otherside, but they can't hear me. When I try to use a voice command the phone just doesn't get my voice and I get "no match found". I am sure that my headset works properly, because I gave it a try with few other Nokia phones and they got my voice normally.
I have nokia 5800 with latest firm ware v40, when i do call to somebody, i can hear the sound, but on the another side, cant hear me speak, he/she said my voice so slowly. i think in the first time is network problem, but change mobile phone, its okay.... so i think the problem is my nokia 5800, when i test with recorder application, i found that its very slowly, i try with the same voice and same volume with another phone, its good, so i think i have problem with my nokia 5800, especially with microphone. can somebody help me what to do? should replace firmware ? or this is hardware damage?
I have just installed my ck-200 and all works absolelty perfectly EXCEPT no one can hear me! The microphone in the onscreen display does not appear to be working. I have doulbe checked all the connections - it was a very simply plug and play install, but I checked again anyway and all is plugged in.
Brand new out of the box. Does not respond to voice commands. No callers can hear me?Are the mics defective? Did I miss a step?I can hear the unit, I can hear callers.
I have a usb car charger with a cable that has a usb plug on one end, and on the other end there is a nokia 2.0mm charger plug. like this one: [URL] But the problem is that it's not fully charge my Nokia 5800, only about 85%-90%. Could this charger can fully charge a nokia 5800? on the charger itself it's written "DC 5V +- 5% Max= 1000mA"
I have nokia E5 6 months used now I had earpiece problem if any one calls me I cannot hear sound through earpiece but when I activate loud speaker then I hear sound.
I have just bought a nokia x6 and paired it to my Audi car interface. It accepts the phone book and lets me make outgoing calls but there is no sound coming through when accepting a call. My husband's phone is also paired to the car and he can receive calls with no problem.
Have a BH-905i connected to Windows 7 laptop (x86) with the broadcomm bluetooth suite. I have the Audio Sink, Headset, Remote Control and Remotly Controllable Device Bluetooth services available in Windows 7 for this device and ticked. When I use Windows Media player the audio quality is great, but whenever I use a VOIP application (e.g. Lync), the playback and microphone quality are terrible and I reportedly sound like I am in a tunnel.
I am on the second c5-03, the first was replaced due to a speaker problem (not working)Now, on random moments there is no sound in microphone.i receive a call and i cant hear anything but the caller can hear me very good. I have to turn off the phone, remove the battery and reboot and its working again for a few days. then, its happening again because i cant anticipate when its ok and when it is stopped working again and again.i cant go to nokia service: they will say its working fine on sthe spot, i come home and no sound.
Whenever I try to record audio during some of my office meetings, the recording is automatically getting paused after 3 - 4 minutes. I need to click on "record" to cotinue again. If i try to record a session of 45 minutes..probably 7 to 8 times i need to check my mobile to see whether it is recording or already paused and if already paused i need to click on record to continue. Do i need to modify any settings so that the recording will continue without automatically pausing.
My 5800 with Danish firmware 60.0.003.273.03 loses the sound in the two "external" speakers. (Playing music or using navigation with voice command). When I restart then the sound comes back, but disappears again after awhile.
For the first time since the v50 update I tried to use BBC iplayer (on 5800), which now seems to work - through native browser now, even though the widget is separate. Accessing archived stuff worked fine, but when I tried to use it for live streaming I got the sound but the screen stayed grey (I was on wifi at the time). Is this the BBC still preventing access (as they used to) or is there another issue here?
I've changed my display a few days ago, obviously because it crashed after being droppedĀ from ~30 centimeters. Everything seemed to work fine, the only problem was with the broken screen.
But today, during several phonecalls, I was told that they hear me sunk, like I was in a jar or something, and sometimes with few cracklings.
I'm comparing to my 5530, On the contacts bar it nicely blends into the back ground, on the 5800 is a dirty oversized white block with the contact in the middle, no blending in or anything, same on the email, a horrible big white square, nothing blended in, I've tried different themes, and reflashed but no good.
My microphone stopped working. All sounds work, but when making or receiving calls no one can hear me. I''ve tried using speaker and the headset but still have the same problem. I have also reset my phone, still no luck.
I'm wondering if it will be possible to connect a high-quality microphone to the N8 via usb. I can't find out what current can be supplied by the device nor what currents are required by available usb microphones.
Is there a way to use my N8 as a microphone for my PC for chatting? My desktop has neither a webcam nor a microphone. So i found an application(epocCam) to use my N8 as a webcam for my skype. PS: I tried the mobile version of skype on my N8, but it does not support video calls)
Being a sound engineer and involved in different aspects of music production, one of the features that made me purchasing the 5800 was the 'Digital stereo microphone' mentioned in the specifications... (quote):
I didn't find any trace of such digital mic, be it analogue or digital... the in-built mic is of course not stereo, and the mic in the remote isn't also, leave apart being 'digital'
I'd love using my mobile to capture musical ideas on the fly, or outdoor ambiences, but all attempts using the included recorder app are far from acceptable quality, no matter the file resolution or using inbuilt or remote mic...user ' grschinon' states in the thread /t5/Nseries-Devices-and-S60/5800-mic-or-line-level-input-for-recording-audio/m-p/479174 that an external mic can be plugged in it... could anybody please explain how?
I have a Nokia E51. Today I found out that the microphone is not working anymore. Yesterday everything was fine, but today when I make or receive calls, people can't hear me speak, while I can hear them perfectly. I tried the recorder, but when I make a record, again I don't hear anything when I play it, so the problem must be in the microphone. I haven't dropped or hit my phone, no accidents, nothing. I even tried to restart it, but it still didn't work.
I just bought Nokia 5800 in America. I'm originally from the middle east and I need to write in Arabic when I chat or send messages. the problem here is that the phone reads Arabic but I can't write in Arabic. my question is "Could I use firmware of Nokia 5800 (RM-356) on Nokia 5800 (RM-428)?
If not, could anyone help me and get me the firmware that support writing in Arabic?
