I need to enter a new message centre number in my Nokia 6720.I've done this before but can't remember how I did it. In which menu do I enter the message centre number? I can't find anything in the user manual.
just started to use this phone again, i receive texts no problem, however when i try to send one it asks me to enter the message centre number? I am using the phone based in the UK - anyone know what number i should put in ?
I have found out that my Lumia 800 does not send ANY sms (receive only).I checked that sms centre number is missing, so I wrote it inside and tapped ''save'', but phone did not save it, it was still BLANK. Tried it several times, it does NOT SAVE the message centre number.
I have a 6720 classic and when I dial a number the background is white and the number dialed is white> Can anyone advise how I can change the text color?
Basically, I can't change my messaging centre name or number, can't delete it, can't change it, can't make a new messaging centre "profile". I have: Restored the factory settings.Contacted my network. When contacting my network (o2), I was told to try resetting the factory settings and if this didn't work, try the sim card in a different (unlocked) phone to see if I could send text messages. After trying it in my old phone I found I could send messages, so I called my network back and was told to contact Nokia. When trying to change the messaging centre (Even with NO sim card in the phone) I get the following error message: "Unable to change setting. Value read from SIM card".
Bought a Nokia E72 a fews ago, got the email set up no problem but in the last couple of days it was playing up and very slow I therefore removed the mailboxs on my phone to reinstall them. However when trying to add the mail box again I got an email from Nokia stating there records state that I have changed my phone and they have cancelled my Subscription.Anyone experienced this before and have any suggestions.
I have a unlocked N97. Everything is working fine except 2 things that i am having problems with:
1- I have added my WLAN home network in the Internet destination. Also a normal MMS connection for Multimedia Services and my GPRS connection in the WAP Services. I have set the default connection to Internet but still when I open applications like weather or browser, it doesn't connect to WLAN (It's availaible and use is set to Auto, other access points are selected to after confirmation) and it asks for connecting to WAP connection or not.
2- I can't send any text messages and I want to change my message centre. but when I go to Messages > Options > Settings > Message Centres > Options it has nothing as "Add message centre" so I can add a new message centre for sending text messages. what should I do?
Previous phones I have had, have either beeped or flashed a light to let you know you have missed a message or call - great features! My new Nokia 6720 does nothing (that I can find). The breathing light seems to just breathe all the time in standby mode, which I find a little creepy... The little envelope that appears on the screen is hard to see in standby mode.Is there a notification like a flashing light or beep I can set up to have the phone let me know I missed a call / message? If so where do I find it?
Recently got an iPhone 4s, was working fine until I discovered that I can only open the notification centre and control centre I on the the lock screen.
I have an account, I'm logged in, I click on "Send to Mobile", enter my number, nothing happens. I don't receive a text or link on my mobile. What am I doing wrong?
my iphone4's screen got big all of a sudden by itself (did not do anything from the settings) now it is so big even when try to move from the corners i cant enter the numbers to unlock the sim. it touches zero in the middle and gets locked.
i turned it off and on took the simcard in and out. nothing works.
Earlier today I was able to unlock the screen but the passcode screen was shrunk to the bottom left corner and I was left unable to enter the numbers for the passcode.
I'm new to the x10 and still trying to find my way around. Quite often I send 1 text to the same few people. Does anyone know how a can create a group contact and then how I can add it to my text instead of having to enter each number individually.
Pulling my hair out at the moment, 4am here in the UK. I'm trying to get the Communication Centre to load my SMS messages from my Nokia 6680, but it just won't do it. I try to refresh, it won't load them, open/close again and again, nothing. I'm using Windows 7, PC Suite 7.1.51.0 and tried via cable and BlueTooth, nothing. If anyone has any tips on how to get it working, that'll be great!
Does anyone know how to set the alarm Tone - to use a imported self made tone. I know it works because it worked before I send it to repair. The file is a .amr file.
I just purchased the really magnificent phone 6720. I have a problem playing songs I have bought in iTunes with the non-DRM'ed format .m4a.
The player seems to recognize the tracks as playable and imports them to the library alright. But when playing a particular song the player skips to the next after a brief attempt. It looks like a bug.If I side-load my SD-card with the exact same tracks into other S60 devices there are no problems at all. So: 6720c doesn't work!!! N85 works 5800 works 5320 works
I'm using my 6720c:Is it possible to dial a contact just by "saying" its name into the phone? I think so, but I didn't manage to so far.How do I add several numbers to a single contact? The Nokia phones that I had before distinguished between private, work and mobile number. I'd like to do that on my 6720c, too. Thanks for any response.
I use my 6720c for GPS navigation. But no matter if I use A-GPS or not, finding a signal within Nokia Maps or the GPS utilities takes *at least* 10 minutes. Is this normal? If not, what am I doing wrong? Is there maybe any GPS-fix (i.e. pre-calced sat coordinates) or do I miss a setting for better performance? My software version is 12.x.
How do I turn on the flashing light to notify me of an event while I was away from the phone (ie, missed call or sms)? I found it once, but I've forgotten where it was.
I have just bought a nokia 6720 however I cant seem to access the memory card, does anyone know where to find it? On my last nokia it showed up under gallery, but i have no idea how to locate it on this phone.
Every time I try to call a number (LAN LINE) that has a block on unidentified callers, I get the message "The number you are calling does not accept unidentified calls please enter your 10 digit phone number" The funny thing is that this problem just started to happen. A week ago it was fine. When I do call a number that is not blocked, my number comes up correctly on the caller ID but shows as unidentified. Sometimes, it shows up as international. Now, funny thing is that if I put my SIM in my Pearl, I can make calls no problem. There are two settings on the Bold under general options. One is called "Restrict My Identity" In this case, I have have it set to NEVER. I have also tried NETWORK DETERMINED, but neither of them make difference. The other setting is called "Show My Number" and this is set to YES.I have talked to AT&T until I am blue in the face. They say it is a problem with the phone and that it needs to be replaced. I hardly believe that. I have a friend with the same phone and it has the same problem.I did see some threads on this before in other forums, but never did see an answer to the problem.Finding a solution would be very nice.Already tried doing a factory reset and a security wipe on the phone.
I have installed the latest version of PC Suite and the Upgrade Program. It links correctly with my 5800 Express Music Phone and updated the Firmware succesfully. However I can no longer play MP4 videos on Windows Media Player 11 or Windows Media Centre. I did not tick any of the association boxes when installing the software. Only the playback of MP4 files is affected. I was able to transfer a Video to the Phone. I have tried re-associated mp4 files back to wmp but still no luck. I have ended up uninstalling the Suite and doing a System Restore to get back functionality.
I liked the Suite very much but if it causes problems with my Media Centre and wmp there is no use installing it. I would very much appreciate any suggestions on how to sort out this problem and what may be causing it. OS is Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit version. I am connecting the phone via the USB Cable.
I recently bought a Nokia 6720 Classic, and played with the navigation software. I particularly liked the function where the displayed map rotates as the phone rotates, so that the map north always points to true north.I then installed Ovi Maps 3.03, whereby the entire navigation software GUI changed, and the true-north-function disappeared. I never checked what software was previously installed, so I don't really know if I just installed a newer version of Ovi Maps, or if I installed an entirely new software. The original software did not have any links to LonelyPlanet or Michelin.I also made the mistake of selecting 6730 classic in the download menu on the Nokia site, since the 6720 was not listed. Could it be that the 6730 doesn't have a built-in compass, and that the software I downloaded therefore does not have the true-north function?
Looking in the Programs folder, I saw a Nokia Maps and an Ovi Maps (swedish), both version 3.03 (246) I uninstalled the Ovi Maps program and restarted the phone, but I still got the new Ovi Maps 3.03 when I selected the Maps menu on the phone. I haven't dared to uninstall Nokia Maps yet - should I try that? So my questions are
1) is there a true-north function on Ovi Maps?
2) if not, how do I restore the phone to whatever navigation software was factory-installed?
I have a Nokia 6720 could someone please tell me how do I make the phone ring longer. I miss calls because it doesn't ring long enough.I'm just about ready to throw it out the door.
I have downloaded Nokia Suite 3.3.86 and downloaded European Maps for Europe, I search for the country I have downloaded, and it says "searching online". How do I look/search the map of Europe when I am in Australia, without connecting to the internet. In positioning methods I have everything turned off accept "integrated GPS".Bluetooth GPS, Assisted GPS, Network Based GPS are all switched off.
