Nokia :: 6680 Trying Communication Centre To Load My SMS Messages
Aug 25, 2010
Pulling my hair out at the moment, 4am here in the UK. I'm trying to get the Communication Centre to load my SMS messages from my Nokia 6680, but it just won't do it. I try to refresh, it won't load them, open/close again and again, nothing. I'm using Windows 7, PC Suite 7.1.51.0 and tried via cable and BlueTooth, nothing. If anyone has any tips on how to get it working, that'll be great!
Recently got an iPhone 4s, was working fine until I discovered that I can only open the notification centre and control centre I on the the lock screen.
Hi everyone, I'd like to set up auto lock for my keys for my Nokia 6680 but seem to have forgotten or never set up my password before. Can someone please tell me the default password when setting up the Autolock period for the Nokia 6680?
i have nokia 6680 phone and sad to say its getting malfunction. i back-up all the data (sms messages, contacts, images, videos, etc.) on this phone in my pc using the pc suite package software (back and restore). can i transfer and use that back-up data stored in my pc if im going to use high end nokia phones or latest high end nokia phone models? what are the other nokia phones models that might support data compatibility of my nokia 6680 phone?
I have found out that my Lumia 800 does not send ANY sms (receive only).I checked that sms centre number is missing, so I wrote it inside and tapped ''save'', but phone did not save it, it was still BLANK. Tried it several times, it does NOT SAVE the message centre number.
Bought a Nokia E72 a fews ago, got the email set up no problem but in the last couple of days it was playing up and very slow I therefore removed the mailboxs on my phone to reinstall them. However when trying to add the mail box again I got an email from Nokia stating there records state that I have changed my phone and they have cancelled my Subscription.Anyone experienced this before and have any suggestions.
I need to enter a new message centre number in my Nokia 6720.I've done this before but can't remember how I did it. In which menu do I enter the message centre number? I can't find anything in the user manual.
just started to use this phone again, i receive texts no problem, however when i try to send one it asks me to enter the message centre number? I am using the phone based in the UK - anyone know what number i should put in ?
Basically, I can't change my messaging centre name or number, can't delete it, can't change it, can't make a new messaging centre "profile". I have: Restored the factory settings.Contacted my network. When contacting my network (o2), I was told to try resetting the factory settings and if this didn't work, try the sim card in a different (unlocked) phone to see if I could send text messages. After trying it in my old phone I found I could send messages, so I called my network back and was told to contact Nokia. When trying to change the messaging centre (Even with NO sim card in the phone) I get the following error message: "Unable to change setting. Value read from SIM card".
I have a unlocked N97. Everything is working fine except 2 things that i am having problems with:
1- I have added my WLAN home network in the Internet destination. Also a normal MMS connection for Multimedia Services and my GPRS connection in the WAP Services. I have set the default connection to Internet but still when I open applications like weather or browser, it doesn't connect to WLAN (It's availaible and use is set to Auto, other access points are selected to after confirmation) and it asks for connecting to WAP connection or not.
2- I can't send any text messages and I want to change my message centre. but when I go to Messages > Options > Settings > Message Centres > Options it has nothing as "Add message centre" so I can add a new message centre for sending text messages. what should I do?
I have installed the latest version of PC Suite and the Upgrade Program. It links correctly with my 5800 Express Music Phone and updated the Firmware succesfully. However I can no longer play MP4 videos on Windows Media Player 11 or Windows Media Centre. I did not tick any of the association boxes when installing the software. Only the playback of MP4 files is affected. I was able to transfer a Video to the Phone. I have tried re-associated mp4 files back to wmp but still no luck. I have ended up uninstalling the Suite and doing a System Restore to get back functionality.
I liked the Suite very much but if it causes problems with my Media Centre and wmp there is no use installing it. I would very much appreciate any suggestions on how to sort out this problem and what may be causing it. OS is Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit version. I am connecting the phone via the USB Cable.
I noticed that when you go into contacts, then into one of your contacts on your phone, there's an option called communication history. Does anyone know how to delete communication history on the n900? It's useful to a point but if it records all history from day 1 and doesn't allow you to clear it, then it's just old information and a potential disk space chewer (even if it's minimal)
I'm getting an unhandled Win32 exception when I launch Communication Centre from PC Suite. I installed the latest version of PC Suite and it connects to the phone just fine (E51 on USB cable). Inbox messages show in the main PC Suite window, but when I click either the messaging or contacts icons to start Communication Centre 2.0 it fails with an unhandled Win32 exception.I have uninstalled all Nokia apps and reinstalled from a fresh download of PC Suite, and I get the same error.
New S6 ... email app keeps hanging and won't load up new messages unless I (i) go to smart manager and "clean all" ... that works most times; or (ii) use the "close all apps" feature ... that always works ... when I do one of those two things and reopen the email app, the new messages are visible and can be opened.
Other hang ups include inability to open email messages in the inbox ... and sometimes the entire inbox screen just goes blank.
interestingly, I still always get notifications when new messages come in ... so does not appear to be a sync issue.
I want to find a picture that was sent to me in a text message back in September 2011. Tell me that the iPhone does not require me to hit "Load Earlier Messages" 1 million times before getting to it.
I am trying to view messages that was sent to me but it was over 3 months ago? I am wondering if there is a quicker way then to keep pressing "load earlier messages"?
I know mac has a program to load older txt messages, but I am using windows. I need to load back my earlier messages but it took me ages and the phone become very slow and lag. Is there any other ways to load beside that phone viewer only for mac user? It is so unfriendly for other user. I need something that window user can use to load earlier txt messages.
After syncing with itunes(windows), messages for one of the contact(I have saved the contact name as 'Unknown') are lost. I can see only few messages which fits to the screen. I don't see option to load earlier messages.
I seem to have lost the SMS and MMS option on my phone it doesn't appear on the menu screen anymore and all SMS history has been deleted when I go into the messages option on the home screen. I am able to compose an sms but it doesn't seem to send or store once I press send I'm not sure how I have managed to do this.
First time smart phone user bought xperia ray, my display for when i hit applications is slightly off centre, not sure how it happened as it wasnt like this when i got it first (as in i did something and dont know what or how 2 fix )
Out of the blue my iPhone 4S home button and notification centre has stopped working. I used the phone and switched it off. The next time I turned it on they weren't working. The phone wasn't dropped on banged around.
My phone is z3 dual. When I connect it through USB cable to the pc it looks like it's no connected ( no recharge and no file transfer _ the Pc dosn't see the phone). I tried another pc and another USB cables but nothing happened. For your information the USB cable is working and the pc is reading another phones like xperia C3.(no problem in the cable and the pc , I'm sure the problem is in the phone itself.
I have a nokia c2-01. My internet connection is working fine, and I am able to browse using the default opera mini browser provided. But when I try to add a new account in the email (Messaging -> Email) options, it tells "Communication error. Try again later".
When I try to use wifi to access the internet it connects but after entering a URL it says "communication error - check settings or see your service provider"
