Mar 26, 2010I have a 6720 with ovi maps installed. Is there is a bluetooth headset which supports GPS navigation? I would like to use it with my motorbike.

Nokia :: How To Revert To Original Navigation Software On 6720?
Apr 24, 2010I recently bought a Nokia 6720 Classic, and played with the navigation software. I particularly liked the function where the displayed map rotates as the phone rotates, so that the map north always points to true north.I then installed Ovi Maps 3.03, whereby the entire navigation software GUI changed, and the true-north-function disappeared. I never checked what software was previously installed, so I don't really know if I just installed a newer version of Ovi Maps, or if I installed an entirely new software. The original software did not have any links to LonelyPlanet or Michelin.I also made the mistake of selecting 6730 classic in the download menu on the Nokia site, since the 6720 was not listed. Could it be that the 6730 doesn't have a built-in compass, and that the software I downloaded therefore does not have the true-north function?
Looking in the Programs folder, I saw a Nokia Maps and an Ovi Maps (swedish), both version 3.03 (246) I uninstalled the Ovi Maps program and restarted the phone, but I still got the new Ovi Maps 3.03 when I selected the Maps menu on the phone. I haven't dared to uninstall Nokia Maps yet - should I try that? So my questions are
1) is there a true-north function on Ovi Maps?
2) if not, how do I restore the phone to whatever navigation software was factory-installed?

Mar 11, 2012I have downloaded Nokia Suite 3.3.86 and downloaded European Maps for Europe, I search for the country I have downloaded, and it says "searching online". How do I look/search the map of Europe when I am in Australia, without connecting to the internet.In positioning methods I have everything turned off accept "integrated GPS".Bluetooth GPS, Assisted GPS, Network Based GPS are all switched off.

Jan 21, 2010I am very disappointed. My lovely new n900 (updated to latest firmware after getting it out of box and no apps installed yet) does not recognise my BH-202 headset. This is DESPITE the nokia site saying it is compatible.Does anyone know how to make it work or if it or any other nokia headset does (although I don't see why I should need to buy a new one). I am pretty sure it violates some consumer law to say something is compatible and will work, and then for it not to work..... I desperately need bluetooth as I take calls while driving for business LOTS.

Apr 13, 2010I have a new 5530 and a headset BH208.What happend was when I connect my phone the the headset it seemed working fine, but after talking for like about 30 min or so the phone got disconnected from the headset and started to freeze, I can do nothing but restart the phone. I tried unauthorizing the connection but the problem still unsolved. I had an E71 b4 and I was using the same headset without any problem, so I think there might be some issue with the bluethooth in 5530...pretty disappointed...this might be the last nokia for me..

Jan 3, 2011if it is possible to have automatic connection for a Bluetooth headset? My Plantonics Voyager Pro worked fine with my E71 just enable bluetooth on the phone and it connected. On my N8 I have to manually connect to the headset everytime, which is a pain.
Am I doing something wrong?, or is this feature not available on the N8?

I decided it was not the headsets and swapped the phone out at my local ATT&T store and I still have the exact same result.Is anyone else experiencing this?

But now, I plugged it in the charger and the red light doesn't turn on anymore. I tried a different nokia charger but still, it doesn't work. The chargers that I tried worked on my phone though.Whenever the headset is charged, it's settings on its connectivity resets, so everytime i charge it, i need to reconnect the bluetooth of my phone. So, I tried if the settings reset, but unfortunately, it didn't,. so my bluetooth headset really is not charging anymore.

We both have the same problem with our headset we bought (the mrhandsfree Blue twin).we can pair them and this is no problem, we authorise it and again, no problem. It connects with the headset. After a few seconds, the connection is lost without a reason. We can connect it again by pushing the button on the headset, but this starts the voice dial. I want to be able to use voice dial, but only when i want it (normally, it is when you push the heatsetbutton a few seconds).The only way to remain connected with the headset is to play music, it plays through the headset and the connection stays on.When the headset is off and i put it on, the phone can see the headset and connects. It disconnects again after a few seconds.
When we get called, we can't accept the phonecall. the phone just rings, if we push the button on the headset, it connects with the headset and the sound goes perfectly through the headset. If i push the button to pick up, it disconnects the call.Why can't i stay connected with my phone and headset?

Jan 23, 2010The "No Voice Guidance under Bluetooth" problem seems to be well documented on this board as well as elsewhere on the web,In-Car bluetooth connections that work fine for phonecalls will not relay voice directions from Maps, and the phone itself stays mute. In effect, no voice directions are heard at all.The reason seems clear as well: The bluetooth standard allows for several different kinds of sound-streams for priority purposes etc. Most In-Car bluetooth devices however (including several NOKIA-ones), accept only actual phonecalls. Hence, all oher sound is muted while connected to the car.The rather obvious solution would be to have a setup-item in Ovi-Maps that forces all sound from the program to use the phones integrated speakers instead of an operative Bluetooth connection. (Use Bluetooth connection for Voice directions On/Off).
NO NOKIA STAFF have responded to aknowledge the problem or comment on it's possible solution or workaround. (And I have not found any third party app that adresses the issue.)One might speculate that the reason would be the design of the operating system, choosing to handle all sound in a similar way, which undoubtedly is a good thing ... in most cases, but in this case dissalows usage of the free navigation in the one situation it is of the highest value - IN THE CAR.NOW - as FREE NAVIGATION becomes a major selling point and the aplication can't work in a modern car while maintaining legal phone connectivity, NOKIA needs to accept this reality, and make Ovi-maps useable for these users as well even if that means defying a design principle.For reference, I use version 3.03 10wk01 b05 of Ovi-maps on my NOKIA N97 mini with a factory fitted Alfa Romeo "Blue&Me" bluetooth kit, developed by Microsoft Automotive.

Jan 5, 2013When my Lumia is connected to the car via bluetooth, its connected with both audio profiles, Voice (Phone Call Audio) and Music (A2DP).So when connected and Nokia Drive is running the audio is sent to A2DP to then be sent to the aux input of the car stereo. This is all well and good if you have the radio on and AUX selected. But if you are listening to FM radio or a CD etc you don't hear any voice guidance from Nokia Maps.
This is a question directed at Nokia Maps Developers. Can a setting be created that allows you to select audio output via bluetooth? If you could select it to go via the Voice/Phone call Profile, like for instance the Speech input works on Windows Phone, for reading/replying to text messages, then when ever there is a direction to be spoken, the car bluetooth would treat it as a phone call, cut sound to the radio and speak the direction through the speakers no matter what the radio was outputting.If the above doesn't make sense then please ask me as this would be a worth while setting to be developed.
