I have a Nokia 5800 and Nokia BH-212 bluetooth headset. Is it possible to play music when driving using an FM transmitter plugged in to the headphone socket on the phone, to play through the car stereo speakers, and to use the headset to kick in in case someone calls whilst I'm driving and listening to music? I'm getting the music through the bluetooth thing.
View 8 RepliesI have a Nokia 5530 and one of my friends had a Nokia 5800. We both have the same problem with our headset we bought (the mrhandsfree Blue twin).we can pair them and this is no problem, we authorise it and again, no problem. It connects with the headset. After a few seconds, the connection is lost without a reason. We can connect it again by pushing the button on the headset, but this starts the voice dial. I want to be able to use voice dial, but only when i want it (normally, it is when you push the heatsetbutton a few seconds).The only way to remain connected with the headset is to play music, it plays through the headset and the connection stays on.When the headset is off and i put it on, the phone can see the headset and connects. It disconnects again after a few seconds.
When we get called, we can't accept the phonecall. the phone just rings, if we push the button on the headset, it connects with the headset and the sound goes perfectly through the headset. If i push the button to pick up, it disconnects the call.Why can't i stay connected with my phone and headset?
I would like a fresh update on the your experience with N97, after la latest updates.

I am looking forward to N97, and not mini N97 because the mini ver,doesn't have 32gb and screen is smaller 0,3" and no fm transmitter.
I took in consideration even the iphone, but the main problem is garmin, because is not available for iphone. And secondly, I want simbian, because I will use diferent software without paying/unlocking.
I am looking toward a used with warranty <4months N97 => cheaper > 40% , brand new is too expensive.
I have a Ford Ranger, fitted with a Nokia CK 7W. I have a Nokia N96 and this has worked brilliantly with the CK 7W since I purchased the vehicle in October. I have recently bought a high end ipod transmitter and used it since Christmas and very impressed with the permormance, and had no problems.Last week the vehicle went in to have towbar electrics wired in and since then I have had problems, I believe with the car kit. The handsfree works wonderfully over bluetooth, and the radio functions fine. However when I use the ipod transmitter, I get a beep every 30-60 seconds from the carkit through the radio. I have tried switching off the bluetooth so I know my phone isnt connecting, and tried it connected. Still the same beep. Is there any chance the transmitter is affecting the car kit? And why would this have changed since the work, would it be to do with the battery being disconnected and the car kit needing a reboot of some kind?

I can still hear perfectly well via it, but the volume control, stop, start of skip functions have now stopped. I'm not too sure the ability to answer the phone from it exists either. Can anyone tell me if this is due to the headset itself or if there's an option in the 5800 that I need to look at? If it's the latter I won't need to make a trip to the store.

This is DESPITE the nokia site saying it is compatible.Does anyone know how to make it work or if it or any other nokia headset does (although I don't see why I should need to buy a new one). I am pretty sure it violates some consumer law to say something is compatible and will work, and then for it not to work..... I desperately need bluetooth as I take calls while driving for business LOTS.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a new 5530 and a headset BH208.What happend was when I connect my phone the the headset it seemed working fine, but after talking for like about 30 min or so the phone got disconnected from the headset and started to freeze, I can do nothing but restart the phone. I tried unauthorizing the connection but the problem still unsolved. I had an E71 b4 and I was using the same headset without any problem, so I think there might be some issue with the bluethooth in 5530...pretty disappointed...this might be the last nokia for me..

Lumia 900 is almost unusable with a Bluetooth headset.I have paired it with 2 Plantronics Voyager Pro HD headsets, a BluAnt Q2 and several lower end sets. I decided it was not the headsets and swapped the phone out at my local ATT&T store and I still have the exact same result.Is anyone else experiencing this?

But now, I plugged it in the charger and the red light doesn't turn on anymore. I tried a different nokia charger but still, it doesn't work. The chargers that I tried worked on my phone though.Whenever the headset is charged, it's settings on its connectivity resets, so everytime i charge it, i need to reconnect the bluetooth of my phone. My N8 connects to my bluetooth headset and functions flawlessly usually. But whenever I connect my N8 via bluetooth to my PC it stops pairing with the headset. The moment it connects with the PC, the headset icon appears in my N8, despite it not having paired the headset.

Unfortunately, when I go to the Zune player or Xbox Live, the sound comes out the speakerphone on the Lumia 800, not the headset. View 6 Replies View RelatedI had updated my phone with firmware version 40.0.005.I am having problem while connecting to my bluetooth enable car stereo JVC KD AVX-44 Car System.It connects to the car system but when i start playing music in my mobile , it got disconnected from car stereo and then reconnects for 10 seconds approx and then disconnects again.There is no problem while connecting to the car system with Nokia 72,73,81 and Motorola A1200 etc.Before update V 40 i am able to connect the car system, but was not able to use next track or previous track using my car stereo remote .After updating V 40 I am able to use next track or previous track but my connection to car system losts in about 10 secs.

Whenever I try to switch it on it just pops up with an "unable to perform bluetooth operation”. I did the three finger salute (hard reset) but no joy. Anyone know if there is perhaps some other setting that blocks bluetooth? Or is there some more technical way to find out what is failing?

When I goto Radio it gets hanged instantly only option I have is to click on red button or menu button, but radio app keeps running in back ground. When I got to Albums and tried to send any music file via Bluetooth I get a message 'Unable to connect'.
