Nov 9, 2011So this is a little bit of a fail, you can not use the moto actv to stream music from phone over bluetooth to it. Which means no Pandora, Slacker, Spootify.

View 1 RepliesI have a 2010 Mazda Speed 3 and I hear this is a common problem. Phone calls are fine but media playback has a 3 second delay with Bluetooth in the car. I don't have this problem with other Bluetooth speakers or ear pieces. Is this delay a common problem for vehicles or is it just MY vehicle?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI can not get music to play via bluetooth in my cars. When I go to the bluetooth setting there is no option for media audio. I have a gs5 with lollipop. The cars I am trying are 2010 Chevy Traverse and a 2012 Chevy Cruze. Is it the car bluetooth? I found on my search where it looked like others have been able to do it on these vehicles.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI was pulling my hair out trying to get media audio to stay connected on my S6 and Ford Sync audio system. I tried everything until I realized I had overlooked the obvious. Media audio would not stay connected, but call audio would. You have to select Bluetooth as the input on the Sync system. Only then will it say media audio connected on the phone and music will start playing assuming you have songs on the phone. So for those having trouble with media audio, make certain Bluetooth is selected on your car audio.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there a plan to incorporate support for the ANT+ Fitness Equipment Device profile? Seems that this is the only fitness related profile that is missing from the MOTOACTV. I would love to be able to use this device primarily with the Concept2 Indoor Rowing machine (as well as some Spin bikes at the gym). The Concept2 monitor software supports the FE profile and it would be nice to be able to pair the MOTOACTV to track the many meters that I'll be rowing this winter indoors. In addition... just a future thought... the accelerometer would open up the possibility of using this device as a stroke coach for on-water rowing (i.e. stroke cadence)! Nothing wearable exists like this on the market for us rowers...we have to log our workouts manually and don't have a means to retain detailed metrics such as power graph over time etc.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI know that the audio coaching automatically advises you of your stats at 50% and 85% of your set (distance) goal while running.I could have sworn that previously I had the ability to set it to give status updates at a marked distance (0.5 mile, 1 mile, etc.) regardless of my distance goal. Am I correct, and that functionality is now gone? Or was I possibility using another setting or option, like intervals (I don't think so)? Please advise. I know I can do the shake/tap check any time, but it's so much more convenient to have the preset coaching.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI used my Motoactv last sunday for a 10K run and listened to the music the whole run. But today when I switched on the music I could hear nothing. Tested the earphone(Motorola earphone that comes in the pack) with my computer and it works. Restarted the device but still no luck. Can someone tell what can I do? I live in India and bought Motoactv two months ago in US.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo the very first time I used my motoactv I was able to tap the screen and I got an audio breakdown of my current stats of my run. It worked just that 1 time and has never worked since. Tap tap tap tap tap tap nothing. What am I doing wrong? When I do tap it it just goes through each of the visual screens for calories, distance, heart rate etc. Also, I have noticed that for some runs the audio alerts for each lap worked once and I have never heard another audio alert again.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid with Micorsoft Sync. I had a Droid X and upgraded to the Bionic. When getting in the car, the DX always auto-connected to the phone (headset) profile and also to the A2DP profile, although sometimes the Sync screen displayed a "Connection failed" message before it always actually did connect. Previously my BB Storm 2 had no problems connecting.
When I turn the car on, the Bionic connects fine to the headset profile but fails to auto-connect to the A2DP profile. I get the same "Connection failed" message as with the DX but it doesn't subsequently connect and I have to connect it manually. This is very troubling to me as I almost exclusively use A2DP for listening to music and podcasts in my car.[url]...
Everything was working fine until last night when I did the recent update. I updated fine, synced a new playlist charged up and popped out for a run this morning. Very surprisingly the GPS picked up straight away but it was very quickly apparent that the audio had gone. I say gone but not completely.. there was no 'workout started' and no music playing. 1st thing was to obviously turn the volume up which when max volume was reached I did hear the beep.
Next after removing the headphones, plugging them into my phone and using the free app that plays music to the beat of my steps (brilliant) i got home and did a factory reset. No difference, can hear the max volume beep but nothing else, I've tried other headphones and the same. When I go to the music and press play nothing happens literally.. no pause button comes up... it must be registering the headphones because I can hear the max volume beep but its the only thing I can think..
I was riding with GPS and HRM on and working fine. The music was playing nicely and the audio coach tried to come on to announce the start of new laps. However, all that happened was the music volume dropped a bit but no lap announcement.
how to get the coach back to normal. It worked fine just the day before and the device is essentially brand new.
I'm connecting my phone via bluetotth with original xoom and i see under device "wrench" button a tethering profile. On family edition the profile is gone. What gives?
View 1 Replies View Relatedusing OpenCore (under the stock audio player), the media player will not play newer MP3 files with high bit-rate encoding. Any of my MP3 files encoded in such a manner come up unsupported and will not play. However, lo and behold, I put the MP3s on my ORIGINAL DROID, and they play just fine using Stagefright (under the stock audio player) in Froyo. Attempting to use Stagefright on the X2 results in skipping/stuttering with these files (though there are no issues with other files). So, what now? After all of the music skipping/stuttering issues, certain MP3 files are now just completely unsupported? What gives? I continue to be completely and utterly let down by this POS phone and the complete lack of support.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI love being able to "slap" the device and hear my metrics read to me. The problem is the voice over is pretty quiet compared to the music player. In order to hear it I have to turn the volume up which then makes the music uncomfortably loud (cort of like those annoying commmercials that are never at the same volume as the show you are watching).*** While the music does seem to quiet down a bit while metrics are being read, I would prefer it to auto-pause the music until after the coach is done reading the metrics. ***
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm sure plenty of runners are like me and love an audiobook while they run. Audible support would make this a lot easier!
View 5 Replies View RelatedInteresting discovery during this morning's run - happened to flick the unit for a metrics update and, along with the other data, the audio coach announced an average pace that was actually the average pace for the whole run rather than for the current mile! All I need now is for the audio alert at the end of each mile to give me the average pace for the whole run and I am happy.
Oh, except that towards the end of the run the unit went weird on me (the voice announced in my ear that I had burned 4000 calories in 7 miles and then it stopped recording the distance I had run. It was raining but I think this is all connected to the sleeve of my running top swiping the screen and changing settings as I ran - hope so anyway!).
I have a pair of headphones that has an in-line button. The headphones were working for about 3 weeks with the motoactv, then one day the button stopped pausing and starting the audio for some reason. I tested the same headphones in my iphone, which worked as expected with no problems. I tested 2 other sets of headphones with the motoactv that have in-line buttons and they both work, but this paticular pair will not work with the in-line button. I have done a factory reset, but the results are the same. I have no idea what would cause this behavior.
