I have 5800 Xpressmusic on Orange pay as you go.Software version is 30.0.011.There is an update available which I have downloaded and installed, but after installation I get a message that update was not compatible.any ideas?

Even though Nokia has released several firmware updates for the Nokia 5800 (last one just a few days ago), I'm stuck in version 21.2.025 (custom version 21.2.025.415.02).I have tried to update it directly on the phone and also using PC Suite's Nokia Software Updater but in both cases I get a "no new version available" message.

Both on Virgin Mobile. 1 has been updated to v40.0.005 but mine is using V31.0.101, i like the look of the new version but why cant i download the new software. i have tried using *#0000# and downloading the so called up-to date version straight from the Nokia support site but it wont give me the new version.please help.

i try to update it through mobile updater itself. But everytime its showing ' No update available'.
After I hard resetted my 5800, I can't save received sms to OVI Suite.I can sync only sent sms.In the phone's side of the window, if I select "Received", OVI says 0 (zero), but it let me see all the sms I received.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI can't install the new ovi maps version 3.03 on my 5800XM (firmware version 31.0.101). installation is always aborted by "unknown error: -5", when i retry installation my mobile says 3.03 is already installed, but when i check the version-number it shows 3.01 (maybe it's interesting that nokia maps updater didn't find any updates.)

I just wanna ask why when I'm trying to download themes from m.tehkseven.net using the phone's browser when I tap on the theme I want, it didn't start downloading instead they bring me to a white blank page with lots of weird looking letters (I have no idea what it is) but when I used my N97 to download it's fine no blank page or anything.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am extremely annoyed and disappointed bu nokia's lack of professionalism, i have Nokia 5800 with product code 0575378 which is unlocked phone, but there is no software updates for me since last two ocassions, i did not receive nokia software updates of V31 or V40 yet.
I am so much frustrated that my friends can use kinetic scrolling etc things but i am denied all the features because nokia didn't released updates for my product code.I am requesting nokia please release firmware updates for nokia 5800 XM with product 0575378 at earliest.
I have just updated my 5800. It works much better now but the email has gone from the homescreen. I have checked the settings and this says it should be there. Any ideas?

View 23 Replies View RelatedI've just got a replacement Nokia 5800 from Vodafone today as the last 2 weeks its been sent in for repair may have seen my other post on it's problem, anyways they couldn't fix it gave me a replacement 5800. I was using a temp Nokia 1661 and I recieved a text from Nokia I believe saying a new firmware was out for my Nokia 5800.
Since I have only just got it back I just wanna know if it's worth updating currently I'm using FW V31. And apart from that new Music Library I dont think its really worth the update if thats all it mainly does.
on my Nokia 5800 I always get the message 'Unable to perform Bluetooth Operation' when trying to turn on Bluetooth. I I already tried several proposed solution, without succes unfortunately.

when trying to connect to the web, the screen appears to begin opening the web browser and then instantly closes, sending me back to the menu screen. I have used the browser extensively in the past and this issue only appeared today. i have tried restoring factory settings but this doesnt seem to have fixed the issue, im still unable to connect to the web.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIn an effort to "clean out" the 80 MB phone memory of my XpressMusic 5800, I think I deleted some files I should not have. For example, I thought I would delete the Skyfire and Weatherbug folders from C:, then reinstall it on the 8GB E: drive later. So I did this, then rebooted. The phone seems to be working fine, and Icons for Skyfire and Weatherbug are gone.But now I can't re-load them on the phone. I get to the Ovi store find using the default web browser, but the "Download" bar is grayed out, for both programs. I CAN download programs I have not downloaded before, but I want Skyfire and WBug. It seems either the phone or website is deciding "you already have this program, so you can't download it again". Anyone know how I can fix this?? I am using the latest S60 OS (40.2.005). Phone seems otherwise to be working fine. Any help appreciated.

When someone rings me and the phone is unlocked I can answer the call ok, but when the phone is locked and someone rings it says answer in green and unlock is blue, I am unable to answer the call until I unlock the the phone then tapping answer, answers the call, how can I answer the call without unlocking the phone?

I have tried removing it with windows explorer, nokia application manager but neither worked. I tried taking the memory card out and doing all of the above but nothing worked. However I got asked to create a new server profile. I read some 'default' nokia server settings on another forum and entered them but received a message saying server not responding.
