I wanted to know why my Nokia 5800 is not able to upgrade itself to V40. I tried many times but it says my V30 is the latest firmware version.My mobile code is 0575586 and Type-RM-356.Please help.
View 4 Repliesi am from UAE and my 5800 xpress music rm-356 is with firmware version 21.0.025. when i try to update maps it is saying current firmware version is not supported for this update and update firmware. when i try to update firmware it is saying no new update available. then how can i install the new map software.

I am so much frustrated that my friends can use kinetic scrolling etc things but i am denied all the features because nokia didn't released updates for my product code.I am requesting nokia please release firmware updates for nokia 5800 XM with product 0575378 at earliest.

View 23 Replies View RelatedI've just got a replacement Nokia 5800 from Vodafone today as the last 2 weeks its been sent in for repair may have seen my other post on it's problem, anyways they couldn't fix it gave me a replacement 5800. I was using a temp Nokia 1661 and I recieved a text from Nokia I believe saying a new firmware was out for my Nokia 5800.
Since I have only just got it back I just wanna know if it's worth updating currently I'm using FW V31. And apart from that new Music Library I dont think its really worth the update if thats all it mainly does.
My nokia 5800 software version doens't updated from the last one year. when i cross check in site, current version & my hand set version are entirely different. my hand set version is 30.0.011.C01.01.

i try to update it through mobile updater itself. But everytime its showing ' No update available'.
I have updated the firmware on my 5800 to version 31.0.101.I have tried to update Maps from version 3.01 to 3.03. Each time I try, the update fails.The on-air update fails without any detailed messages. The update via USB cable fails with an error message "unknown error code 5".Does anyone know what is wrong and how to resolve this problem?
