Nokia :: 5800 Taking Photo And Sending It By Bluetooth
Jul 29, 2010
Am I doing something wrong here. I take a photo with the Nokia 5800 and then I want to immediately send it by Bluetooth to my PC. Do I have to go to gallery to send it by Bluetooth only I can only see that you can send it by mms or upload to web from the camera screen, no choice about send by Bluetooth.
so i got ovi maps working fine with my 5800 but on a couple of occasions it has failed but downloaded the maps.just wondering if the map loader stores map data on the hard drive temporarily? as i have noticed like 6 gb of space gone if so does anyone know where it might be?
I updated my 5800 to the firmware V40, and now when I send a sms the phone just reboots. Is this a problem with the firmware ou with the phone it self?
when you try to send a normal text message (not mms) it just sits in your outbox? - i have spoken to my service provider and they've ruled out its their network (which i already knew, as i tried my sim card in my husbands mobile and i was able to send txts no problems and we're with the same company and have the same phone).
I've updated the software and my service provider also sms'd me their set up details and it still refuses to send any messages - i can receive messages and i can send MMS (picture) messages, but normal txts just sit in my outbox. My service provider has said they think its an issue with my actual handset but as im one month out of their 12 month warranty cover, if i want it looked it at i have to pay for it , i havent done anything to it (ie dropped it etc) and it was working fine on thursday, the problem only started yesterday afternoon.
I had assigned a photo to one of the persons in my contacts. It worked perfectly. After some time I decided to delete this and not to have any other photo assigned to this person, so deleted the same thru' Options-->Image--.Remove( in contacts). Still when I received or made a call to this no. the photo got displayed. Then I deleted this photo from the images folder on phone all together (it was in phone memory). Now there was no photo display during receiving - making calls to that particular person. After this I once again copied the same photo to its original Images folder. It again gets displayed during calls.. Though there is no thumbnail display against the person in contacts..
My 5800 randomly stopped sending text messages about 2 days ago. It has problems sending texts for a few hours before but would send them on the second or third try but now refuses to send no matter how many times I try. I'm able to do everything else (recieve and send calls, recieve texts and access the internet) I also put my sim card in my old phone and it can send texts so it must be my phone.
I have a xpress 5800 and last week I accidently set a photo in my gallery to flash up every time a number rings that I have not assigned a photo to or a number I do not know rings. Despite 3 emails to nokia and 3 acknowledgements of these emails and a promise to get in touch they have not bothered. Can anyone help me to undo what I've done? I cannot find any help in the booklet about it.
When I take a photo, and have pressed the tick button to accept it. The camera app closes down and I'm back on the main screen of my phone, so I've then got to re-open the app to take another photo. I know it never used to do this, it's only been the last couple of months I've noticed it. It started doing it before the update to 5.0.1 so I know that didn't cause it... How to stop it from closing down after accepting every photo.
Any good application which can take photos from video? Don't be smart and say take screenshot it's not as accuracy as i want as it can get extra parts....
I can no longer zoom in or out when taking a photo - to do so you use the trackpad - mine used to work but now doesn't. My phone (BB Curve 9300) is only 4 months old, so it's either stopped working or I've done something without knowing!
I got problems for connecting with my nokia 2720 via bluetooth. Problem appears trying to transferring photos to a pc or o another mobile and while trying to connect to internet.
I had updated my phone with firmware version 40.0.005.I am having problem while connecting to my bluetooth enable car stereo JVC KD AVX-44 Car System. It connects to the car system but when i start playing music in my mobile , it got disconnected from car stereo and then reconnects for 10 seconds approx and then disconnects again. There is no problem while connecting to the car system with Nokia 72,73,81 and Motorola A1200 etc. Before update V 40 i am able to connect the car system, but was not able to use next track or previous track using my car stereo remote .After updating V 40 I am able to use next track or previous track but my connection to car system losts in about 10 secs.
When trying to take photo, caption comes up 'Could Not Capture The Image'. Camera has been working perfect all year.Have rebooted, repaired and formatted media card. Also update OS. Have deleted any unused Apps.
Whenever i take a snap on my camera, my phone is going straight into the photo gallery, which is very annoying when i want to keep taking pictures to get that right shot. The quality also seems very pixely, compared to another S5 when i held both up together.
I have my girlfriend's V3c phone(I just got her a new battery and we've switched phones so she doesn't have to deal with letting the battery go low for the first few recharge cycles).Battery power is 3/4 now, so that is not an issue.Take a picture of our cat and put it as wallpaper/ screensaver (not sure what the difference is).So, I'd like to take an indoor picture of our cat.I tried a few times and it comes out all fuzzy(no pun intended).According to the V3c manual I downloaded, page 14 explains how to take photos, but some things don't seem right with the instructions.First, it says "Press [four way button] > Multimedia > Camera" , (or press camera key), to put it in picture-taking mode.I can put it into picture-taking mode by pressing the camera key, but can not put it in picture-taking mode by the first method listed.According to the manual on page 14, I can then access options by- "Press left soft key to view Options menu.", but here's where I run into further difficulty-
My RIGHT soft key gives me options, not the left soft key as the manual states. Plus, the manual says Options include "Zoom", "Style", and "Lighting Conditions", and these are NOT what my Options are. When I press the right soft key, the options displayed are,
1)Resolution, 2)Self Timer, 3)Brightness, 4) White Balance, 5) Image Quality, 6)Shutter Sound, 7)Color Effects, 8)Multishot on, and 9) Fun Frame on.
WHAT I WANT TO DO IS ACCESS THE "INDOOR" OPTION (UNDER "LIGHTING CONDITIONS" according to the manual) IN HOPES AN INDOOR PICTURE WILL COME OUT OK.However, so far I can't find that option that's listed in the manual.Heck, I can't even find a "Lighting Conditions" option.Right now, I have the Image Quality set to "Fine".Does anyone know how I can access the "Indoor (Home)" picturetaking option that's listed in the manual?(BTW, as a test, I just went outside and took a couple of pictures and they too are all washed-out-looking, quite bad.) I'm not seeking perfection, just something that's not total crap like the pictures I've taken thus far.)This is all after doing a "Master Clear" (page 65 in the manual) to reset everything to default settings. The phone is clean and the lens area seems very clean, too.
My Torch randomly shuts off, I can send three to four text messages and it shuts off; cannot take any pictures with camera and it shuts off; browse internet for a few minutes and it shuts off...the list goes on. In order for the phone to come back on the battery has to be pulled or I have to plug phone into charger.
I recently upgraded to firmware v50.0.005.C01.01 but ever since I cannot get bluetooth to be on. Whenever I try to switch it on it just pops up with an "unable to perform bluetooth operation”. I did the three finger salute (hard reset) but no joy. Anyone know if there is perhaps some other setting that blocks bluetooth? Or is there some more technical way to find out what is failing?
i have a problem with my Bluetooth, when i go to put it via the connectivity screen, the screen freezer's and the only way i can get back to the home screen is to press the red button I have tried to send a file when Bluetooth is off the phone asks do you want to activate Bluetooth when i hit yes everything freezer's i have to take the battery out and then back in but still can't use Bluetooth
I recently updated my nokia 5800 to v5 from v4, after update my radio and Bluetooth has stopped working completely. When I goto Radio it gets hanged instantly only option I have is to click on red button or menu button, but radio app keeps running in back ground. When I tried to turn on my Bluetooth I gets a error message 'Unable to perform Bluetooth Operation'. When I got to Albums and tried to send any music file via Bluetooth I get a message 'Unable to connect'. I had already tries hard resetting and re-installing firmware through OVI suite, but I am still facing this problem.
If I take a picture, let the LG Camera app click (and sort of flash the screen), then immediately hit the Back button to exit the Camera app, the picture does not actually save.
I noticed this the other day, and just tried reproducing it. Take a picture, letting the camera click and actually take the picture. But before the Gallery thumbnail in the bottom-right corner of the Camera app has a chance to update, immediately hit the Back button to exit. Then go to the Gallery and see if the picture is there.
On my phone, it's as though I never took the picture at all. I have Verizon, on software 611A, and I am saving to the 32GB SD card from the LG promo.
I have lost at least 1 picture already from this. It would seem to me that if the camera clicks, then the picture should officially have been taken, and the app should definitely save it before exiting, even if it has to finish the process in the background.
If you take a picture on a normal digital camera, then immediately hit the power button, the camera will likely give a message like "Camera is busy", or something similar, preventing it from shutting down until it's finished.
I have a problem with my 1520, as every time I use the hardware button to take a photo, I doesn't stop after the first shot, but keeps taking more shots infinity, which is really frustrating. If I press the on-screen button it works fine.
I got my Galaxy S6 edge yesterday and I'm new to anything Samsung so how to turn off my camera sound when I take a photo? Also, I would like a generic sounding ringtone like ringing but all I have is the musical ones that annoy me.
I have a Nokia 5800 and Nokia BH-212 bluetooth headset. Is it possible to play music when driving using an FM transmitter plugged in to the headphone socket on the phone, to play through the car stereo speakers, and to use the headset to kick in in case someone calls whilst I'm driving and listening to music? I'm getting the music through the bluetooth thing.
on my Nokia 5800 I always get the message 'Unable to perform Bluetooth Operation' when trying to turn on Bluetooth. I I already tried several proposed solution, without succes unfortunately. * Remove battery * Hard reset * Soft reset * hit it on the side as proposed somewhere in the forum. I raised a request through Nokia support a week ago. They promised to contact me withing the 48 hours, but I have't heard anything from them.I have fw: 30.0.011. Altough Nokia site says there is a newer version I cannot update my phone yet (tried via Nokia update on PC and on mobile itself)
