I have a problem with my 1520, as every time I use the hardware button to take a photo, I doesn't stop after the first shot, but keeps taking more shots infinity, which is really frustrating. If I press the on-screen button it works fine.
View 6 RepliesSo I've been having this issue for a while now, and can't seem to figure out what's causing it. I mainly noticed it after downloading the 8.1 update, but I frequently have issues with the camera freezing when taking pictures. What happens is I will let the autofocus do it's thing, and then when I press the shutter, the autofocus thing stays on the screen, and nothing happens. I've figured out that if I just give it time, it will eventually snap the photo, but no photo is ever saved in the camera roll. I thought it was a thing with my SD card, but it happens when I open the camera fresh too, and not only in taking pictures one after another.

Here's the issue, every time I attempt to take a picture using the camera button in the right side of the phone using the Nokia Camera app, my Lumia 1520 will start taking pictures non-stop other unless I exit the app to stop it. Now if I take the picture using the Nokia Camera app on-screen button the phone will only take a single picture. I remember that this problem was not present when I got my Lumia 1520 in January of this year. My thinking is that this problem has to do with a software update to the Nokia Camera app.
The other day I attended a concert and took plenty of photos, but I had a hard time getting any of them to turn out good due to the low light, distance from the stage and the movement on stage. How does one take a good low-light photo with lots of movement without the photo getting blurry on the 1520?

View 6 Replies View RelatedSo we're all probably pretty much busy with updating our Lumia Handsets with the Cyan update.I rolled back my DP to 8.0 and updated just fine, however after resetting the phone and setting it up by telling it to restore it from the backup, it gets stuck around at 25% and fails to move ahead.
I keep getting a message after a while saying that the restore process is taking unusually long and if I'd like to skip restoring instead. After waiting for approx. 30 mins once, and then doing it again and waiting for almost an hour, I've now initiated a reset on the phone a third time.
Having issues restoring from their backup? (Note: I moved to 8.0 from DP last week and then updated to 8.1 DP again and did a restore then and it had worked perfectly at the time without issues.
How to you use the zoom features of the camera? I know how to use the zoom after taking the shot but how do you use the zoom feature before framing/taking the shot?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI think in 8.1 there was a lumia camera app that could take a chrono type phone that was of motion and you could select which frames to use in it. I though I read that all that was rolled into a plugin for the photo's app called Microsoft Photos plug-in. It uses videos to take a picture, but on my Lumia 1520, I don't get the option for an action shot, just the option to take a single frame pic.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI had a 1020 before getting my 1520. On the 1020, I could snap a zoomed-in picture, and then unzoom it later to be able to see the surrounding stuff. In other words, the camera always saved the full image from the sensor, not just the part I was (digitally) zoomed into. I can't get this to work on my 1520, though. If I zoom in and take a photo, that's it; I can't unzoom it later. Am I missing a setting, or is unzooming only a feature on the 1020?

1. In the whatsapp application, when you choose "take a picture" in the attachment tab, the camera flash always light up for focusing even you inhibited in setting.
2. When using lumia camera, cant share photo via whatsapp in the pic review tab.
What are the best settings to use on my 1520 for photographing fireworks. I prefer the built in app, and I am on 8. If there is a better suited app, I am open to that as well.
View 4 Replies View RelatedJust upgraded, recently, to a flash new 1520 and I absolutely love it! So big, clear and brilliant to use. However I have just discovered, this morning, that I cannot fix or set the camera function in one particular area.
I noticed that a 5mp photo gets saved along with a high-def photo when I use the Pro Cam - which I don't want to stop using because I love it - but when I went into the settings of it, I found that I cannot only keep the high-def photo alone, it is either the small res photo alone or the small and high def together and that's it, I cannot just save the high-def photo alone and if I delete the photo, they both delete.
Is there any way I can just save the high-def photo alone, by downloading an app of some sort? Would a photo file manager work? I just don't see the point in putting such a fabulous camera on a phone and having it automatically set with such odd options.
While I'm not a huge photo taker, I find it really annoying to snap one and have this purple tint above it. I've noticed that my camera cover has tiny scratches in the center. I'm pretty sure that's what is causing the purple tint maybe the reflection of the light.

I pin mine on the right hand side right near where the power button is located. Easy to tap quickly. Touch and Lock | Windows Phone Apps+Games Store (United States).There are other touch lock apps but some have a pause or splash screen before locking. Touch and Lock is instantaneous.

Also all of my quick toggles disappeared from my notification center. Just left blank grey spaces. Tried setting them up again, but no go, still blank spaces. Restarted phone and that didn't work. Hard reset is completely out of the question.

Just as soon as this posted the toggles were back. Not sure what happened there.
My Nokia Lumia 1520 power button has suddenly stopped working. Things I have already tried are soft reset and hard reset without luck. I don't have the chive app installed which was supposed to cause this issue sometime ago. Also, I can do a soft reset - which means the power button works in some situations, just not with normal on/off operation.

The camera app closes down and I'm back on the main screen of my phone, so I've then got to re-open the app to take another photo. Am I doing something wrong here. I take a photo with the Nokia 5800 and then I want to immediately send it by Bluetooth to my PC. Do I have to go to gallery to send it by Bluetooth only I can only see that you can send it by mms or upload to web from the camera screen, no choice about send by Bluetooth.
