Apr 12, 2015Have already upated my 1520 to lumia demin ,however for the new lumia camera function , it seems cannot zoom further , unlike the nokia camera which had the ability to zoom more especially taking pics of the notes in class.

Apr 7, 2015Use double tap to wake up phone (enable in settings, touch menu) and install Touch and Lock and pin to your start screen to tap and auto lock. I pin mine on the right hand side right near where the power button is located. Easy to tap quickly. Touch and Lock | Windows Phone Apps+Games Store (United States).There are other touch lock apps but some have a pause or splash screen before locking. Touch and Lock is instantaneous.

Dec 19, 2014Just started happening today. I go to lock my phone and it does nothing. Still powers off if I hold it down, but won't lock screen.
Also all of my quick toggles disappeared from my notification center. Just left blank grey spaces. Tried setting them up again, but no go, still blank spaces. Restarted phone and that didn't work. Hard reset is completely out of the question.
AT&T 1520 with dev preview, cyan.
Just as soon as this posted the toggles were back. Not sure what happened there.

Nov 19, 2015My Nokia Lumia 1520 power button has suddenly stopped working. Things I have already tried are soft reset and hard reset without luck. I don't have the chive app installed which was supposed to cause this issue sometime ago. Also, I can do a soft reset - which means the power button works in some situations, just not with normal on/off operation.

Sep 2, 2014Just come back to my 1520 yesterday and updated it to Cyan 8.1 which means the current version of Nokia Camera, however, Ive noticed that the focus ring, which normally flashes as its focusing when you depress the camera button half way, sometimes just appears on-screen and no longer looks as if its focusing, but as if its already focussed and ready to take the shot. I have to close Nokia camera and re-open it again so it focusses, but any shots after the `st one.. the focus ring is just solid.
The Windows Camera still focuses as does ProShot.. however, I want to use Living Images in storyteller.Does this have anything to do with this "Burst Shot" thats supposed to be in the camera.

Sep 13, 2014i recently got the cyan update for my NL lumia 1520 (yes we have it!)and just since a few days i have been experiencing problems with the stock camera.there is this wonderful feature called <<tap to take photo>> (its been around since wp7)normally you tap the screen, it places a nice square around the place you tapped, it focusses on that spot and then takes a photo.now it just skips the focus and square part and just takes the picture.
this still isnt that bad, cuz of the lumia camera (lumia right, at least the nokia one with recropping and stuff) but whenever i want to take a shot from whatsapp it opens up the stock camera app and it takes bad pictures all over again!its horrible! i didnt spend over 500$ to have a device that cant take proper pictures!and i know its not the cyan update in general because my brother has the 925 and now problems.

I mainly noticed it after downloading the 8.1 update, but I frequently have issues with the camera freezing when taking pictures. What happens is I will let the autofocus do it's thing, and then when I press the shutter, the autofocus thing stays on the screen, and nothing happens. I've figured out that if I just give it time, it will eventually snap the photo, but no photo is ever saved in the camera roll. I thought it was a thing with my SD card, but it happens when I open the camera fresh too, and not only in taking pictures one after another.

Sep 4, 2014So today I went to take some pictures on my 1520 and they all came out blurry. Verifying my phone I discovered that the camera is at fault shaking drastically. I can see from the rear of the phone that when I activate the camera in any app that uses it, it start jumping all around as if the electronic stabilization has gone bad. I did a restart with no luck. I do have a 2 year warrantee with the ms store so it wont be a problem to exchange. But I just don't want to have to redownload everything again.

Nov 20, 2014The camera is beast when I click in shadows, night or other places. But when it comes to sunlight, it fails badly. I've tried multiple settings but it just don't work. Due to photo editing apps in Lumia. They are best editing apps & I'm able to correct them though it.
When I click a photo of someone in sunlight, it puts yellow tint all over him and everywhere else. Skin colour also changes to full yellowish.
Lumia 1520 :: How To Save High-def Photo Only On Phone Camera
Feb 11, 2015Just upgraded, recently, to a flash new 1520 and I absolutely love it! So big, clear and brilliant to use. However I have just discovered, this morning, that I cannot fix or set the camera function in one particular area.
I noticed that a 5mp photo gets saved along with a high-def photo when I use the Pro Cam - which I don't want to stop using because I love it - but when I went into the settings of it, I found that I cannot only keep the high-def photo alone, it is either the small res photo alone or the small and high def together and that's it, I cannot just save the high-def photo alone and if I delete the photo, they both delete.
Is there any way I can just save the high-def photo alone, by downloading an app of some sort? Would a photo file manager work? I just don't see the point in putting such a fabulous camera on a phone and having it automatically set with such odd options.
Lumia 1520 :: Camera Apps Is Taking Pictures Non-stop
Feb 28, 2014Lumia 1520 with the latest version of the Nokia Camera app.
Here's the issue, every time I attempt to take a picture using the camera button in the right side of the phone using the Nokia Camera app, my Lumia 1520 will start taking pictures non-stop other unless I exit the app to stop it. Now if I take the picture using the Nokia Camera app on-screen button the phone will only take a single picture. I remember that this problem was not present when I got my Lumia 1520 in January of this year. My thinking is that this problem has to do with a software update to the Nokia Camera app.
