Feb 7, 2012Upgraded my Nokia N8-00 to Nokia Belle today. Everything is great - phone feels much faster, menus are speedier, looks are stunning, no hitches or data loss during upgrade (except for few applications like Fring which disappeared). So congratulations on your fabulous work on the Belle firmware!A big grouse however is the redesign of the Messaging application. I am used to seeing the good old folder-based view of Inbox, Outbox, Drafts, Sent, etc. as soon as I open the Messaging app (I'm sure that's the case with most people).However, in Belle, when I open Messaging, I see all my messages from all folders in one place (arranged by date & time). This is very, very confusing and not pleasant at all, since messaging is one of the most important things done on a phone, even today.I know I can still see the folder-based view by clicking on the rightmost option in taskbar and selecting "View folders". But I don't want to be doing that everytime.

Aug 15, 2010I have 5800 with version 40. When I go to establish a Bluetooth connection between the phone and my car stereo with BT, the phone finds the car audio receiver but fails to pair .
In the phone help section , it say I need to first assign a pin code to the phone and then enter the same number on the radio receiver and then start pairing .
I have looked all over and can not find any menu on my phone that let me input any pin number . I have tried numbers like 12345 and 1234 on the radio receiver but failed .
Does any one knows how to input the pin number . This apparently is not the Sim number .
This is a number we are supposed to come up with and input in both devices

Aug 22, 2010my ex-girlfriend sent me a video text on my nuron from the kids saying happy birthday to my mom. i can play the video just fine, but there is no audio attached to it. i called tech support and was bumped up to tier 2, but they were unable to help me. all they said is that maybe the nuron doesn't support it. it can take videos with audio, can play Internet and movies, but can't receive a simple video text with audio?
does anyone else have this problem? were you able to solve it?i did forward the text to my wife's friend and she forwarded it back to me as is and it started playing. so i have no idea what's going on with it.

Apr 10, 2010Whenever I receive a text message the sender is highlighted in grey, and has mauve font colour; well it may be red, but on grey? well you know!
How do I change the font to white, 'cos I now believe the highlighting makes it a quick link.Took the phone into a big phone store where they used their own 5800XM. They couldn't resolve it. I did notice that my phone has a red side livery ,and has a red font colour; whilst the shop one had a blue livery, with a blue font. Is this any indication, and would it mean I need to download another theme from Nokia?

When I start navigation and chose a specific root, I noticed that it does not locate my position at all. Jan 15, 2010I'm getting Memory Full on my 5800, when there are 24 MB free on the phone memory.Also, there seems to be 43MB of Other Files, that I can't find anywhere when I browse the phone, so can't get rid of them.
When I tap Applications, sometimes it opens, sometimes I get Memory Fill, please close some applications (or something similar to that message).I can't open Installed Apps to try to remove any.
When I remove the Memory card and try to uninstall apps, of course its only the apps that are in the phone memory, so I can't remove anything that is on the memory card.
I've removed all that I can fromthe phone memory, but can't get rid of the 43MB of other files.
Also, I can't change to the Home Screen Theme to the Shortcuts bar, as it doesn't work. I've updated the software to V31.0.101 and it didn't help. This was prior to the error mentioned above with the Memory being full.

Mar 26, 2010So this is a new problem, never had this before. I often use wireless, but sometimes it has poor signal and is impossible to use so I also use simple mobile internet. Usually the phone using opera mini asks if you want to use mobile internet (not wireless) but now it almost never does, so I get the connection error message as there is no wireless, but I also cannot use my mobile internet. Just today it gave me problems because of that. bassicly, I cannot use internet, unless I have good wireless signal.And I have mobile internet as priority number 1 in my settings. So is there something else to do? This problem is appearing and dissapearing. Thought could be from bad wireless, it kinda locks itself on it or something, but turning off the phone doesn't help.I hope I gave all the neccesary details for someone to understand this

Great, I thought, I'd never noticed that before! But how could this be? I haven't had a firmware upgrade or anything. Apr 21, 2011Frequently, a couple of seconds after ending a call with someone on my 5800, the screen is filled with the message "packet data connection active" for a moment. The message won't go away by clicking on the screen. The only way to force it away is by clicking the red button, but that would also take me away from whatever menu or application I was at, so I'd prefer not to do that. Also, I don't want to change to connectivity settings per se, (as seen in, for example, this topic: [URL]). Rather, is there any way to disable just the message?

Jan 3, 2010I bought my wife an E72 yeasterday. After we charged the battery up and turned it on, everything seemed to work alright. I set up the WLAN connection on my wireless at home, and I tested the use of Facebook, MySpace, etc. Her SIM card needs to be topped up, so the phone keeps saying "SIM Registration Failed." We're going to top it up this morning, so no worries about that. This morning she tried using the Facebook app, but instead of conecting via WLAN, it says "Connecting via IDEAS" which is the Singtel SIM card here in Singapore. I've manually connected to my Wifi network here, and even went to the connection manager to set the priority to 1. The app still doesn't connect via WLAN, and instead tries to use the SIM. When she does top up her card, this could be a quick money waster, especially when we have an abundance of Wifi connectivity so how do I get the web-based apps to use WLAN over anything else?
