Does anyone know why i have to use the highest level to even hear the one talking to me on the phone? If i set the level to the middel its almost quiet and it bothers me really much. Its a new phone and i bougth it this Saturday.

There is an annoying beep sound during calls and the volume control is automatically at the maximum. When I try to bring down the volume using the volume control switch on the side, the volume bar slides all the way to the very lowest and not in steps.I tried googling but I could not find anything.Can someone please suggest what to do?

A new issue with the 3.2 update. I set the speaker volume to zero and pressed OK. Later I attempted to reset the volume to full on. Next I initiated an MP4 movie (using the latest Quicktime); the movie plays fine but with no sound. I stop the movie go back to the sound setting and it has reset itself to zero. The same result with an MP3 music file. Is this a software compatibility issue?

View 12 Replies View RelatedI am experimenting a very weird and annoying problem with my Lumia 900. Since last night the volume level during the phone call became suddenly very very low. I can hardly hear the other speaker. Apparently this is only happening during a phone call in normal mode. If I press the loudspeaker button, for example, I can hear the conversation perfectly as usual. Same using the earpiece: I can hear and talk without any problem. Moreover, the audio output appears to be OK outside the phone call itself: when using apps, music, games or any other feature except the phone call, I can't spot anything abnormal in the volume level, everything appears to work properly.
I would like to point out that:1) the volume level during the call is set to the max. level as usual (10/10)2) the master volume of the device, as set though both right-hand buttons, is set as usual to the max. level (30/30).3) I turned off and on the device at least five times since last night. Unfortunately the problem persists4) I made several tests by dialing different numbers, with no success: the volume level is still very very low during a call.5) I did not notice any other problem in the last days nor the device suffered any "catastrophic" event.In other words, I can only hear a speaker during a phone call either keeping the loudspeaker always on or using the earpiece. It's like my call volume were set to 1 or 2, while it is actually set to 10!I am really surprised, I bought my Lumia 900 end of June and I was very, very satisfied so far

Did a bit of googling, and found several suggestions on how to save battery (turn off everything 'smart' on ur phone). That's not the point anyways. I need to find out why the battery level drops suddenly (like what happens when ur battery's dying out), and *not* why the battery lasts X hrs. I'm not sure about this, but I think this mostly happens when the battery level is slightly below max, and I use any app that needs the GPS functionality. But then, there doesn't seem to be any problem with the GPS hardware in the phone, 'coz it usually gets a GPS lock in less than a minute (mostly within seconds). Could it be related to the algo used to show the battery level, or is it that its my battery that's faulty? Any others out there having the same problem?

Today again the battery icon was approximatively 40% (the same value is displayed in the Settings) and shortly after, the phone goes off, the battery completely empty. I know that the 40% value shown was incorrect because the last time i charged it was more than 24 hours ago.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI own a Nokia N8 and have installed Nokia Battery Monitor 2.1 and I've noticed that the native battery level monitor is always reporting more battery level than the Nokia Battery Monitor.Also I'm experiencing problems with the native monitor because it seems to be stuck at the same level (It has been stuck at 100% while Nokia Battery Monitor reported 70%).Switching off the phone hasn't solved the problem until I used restore the phone to factory default option but know it is stuck at 80% (and Nokia Battery Monitor reports 53%)

like in the topic: I have a problem with rSAP usage in Skoda nav-system Columbus: it stays ON searching for the car nav-system & eats battery level (just being standby): within 24 hrs completely empty. With bluetooth turned on, without previously connecting to my Skoda nav-system, the phone can run for about 10 days standby.Only if I turn off manually the bluetooth subsystem (not just the nav-system connection, but completely turn off bluetooth), then the phone doesn't eat through my battery-level. I dont want that, because it's not neccessary (I have to turn it back on again later & forget to do that), sometimes I forget and find out people can't reach me coz my phone is battery-empty.
