HTC Desire S :: Getting Poor Build Quality?
Aug 18, 2011I owned my Desire S one week when I brought it back for repair with a very annoying problem. I noticed that the bottom of the touch frame is differs from the plane of the metal case. The different is ~1mm. I also noticed that there is a gap on the top of the frame under the frontal camera. When I put my DS on the charger the gap is more visible. I attached an image of this stuff. I'm waiting for your opinions.

Jun 13, 2011Ive had my Desire HD for around 5 months now and from day 1 I've noticed that the wifi reception of the handset is terrible, I literally have to be within 5 metres of my router in order to get a signal, if I move to another room the signal drops to 1 bar pretty much straight away and then once I begin browsing drops completely and reverts to 3g. As I say this has been pretty much from day 1 and since then the handset has been treated with great care so are these phones that bad for signal?

Jan 28, 2010I have the W995i, but when ever it vibrates, it’s sounds so cheap and poor and sometimes the two parts of the phone (which slide) vibrate against each other. Trying it with other handsets, the result is a much nicer sound and feeling. It’s hard to explain, but it’s like tinny and horrible. Does anyone else have this problem? It was second hand off ebay.

Jul 19, 2011A new issue with the 3.2 update. I set the speaker volume to zero and pressed OK. Later I attempted to reset the volume to full on. Next I initiated an MP4 movie (using the latest Quicktime); the movie plays fine but with no sound. I stop the movie go back to the sound setting and it has reset itself to zero. The same result with an MP3 music file. Is this a software compatibility issue?

Updated software as per apple's support team suggestion, tried different SIM & service providers but signals are 50% compared to my Nokia / samsung handsets. Apple service centre & support team refuses repair/replacement in India since phone was bought from US. Really shocked by this since APPLE warranty should be worldwide & since it is a manufacturing problem in such a high end phone it should be replaced at the nearest service centre in India.

Why Is X10 So Poor At Signal Strength
May 17, 2011I have a problem with my signal when I enter my college building, the reception will fall so low that it will show "no service" and if I try to manually connect to my service provider, it says they are unavailable. my sim works fine, I've recently received a new sim, and my phone is updated to 2.1, awaiting the 2.3 update.
I've upgraded from a Samsung Jet and even that had perfect signal in lessons, never went below 2 bars, so why is the X10 so poor at signal strength? is there anything I can do to stop this? is the phone at fault here?
HTC One X :: Poor Signal Quality On O2?
Apr 19, 2012Does anyone have poor signal quality on their phone? I frequently have 1 or two bars, and then the next second I have 5 bars and then down to nothing... all when standing still! Is this just a HTC feature, as I see other HTC phones have the same issue.
The funny thing is that any signal monitoring App that I've installed tells me I have 25% signal, when the phone won't connect to the network!

Apr 12, 2010The problem is that my battery indicator stays full all the time. Battery life is OK (2-3 days) but is very annoying cause I don't know the battery level. It pass from max level directly to 1line and shortly the phone switch off.I tried 3 kind of firmwares (including last one 410.21.010), charging phone in different ways, different chargers, hard reset etc. and nothing.The phone is new (2 weeks of use) but no warranty.Any solution?
