I've just got a 5230 and transferred some photos onto it from my PC. If I try to use any of these photos for wallpaper the image is shown too large for the screen so you lose some of it. Can anyone let me know please how I can get these photos to display properly, like the ones I have taken using the phone?

It can't be that the 'real estate is too small - LG manages to do it just fine on the Xenon GR500FD phone with smaller on-screen buttons.The lack of letters on the dialpad makes it extremely difficult to interact with IVR systems where you need to be able to dial by 'last name'think calling a large company or hospital when you don't know the person's extension.Has anyone found a way to mod the 5230 dialpad to display letters & numbers on it?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have my Lumia 1520 set to snap both the 5MP jpg and high-res 15mp jpg for each photo. Up until today I would save the high-res versions to my PC, and keep the low-res versions on my phone for quick viewing. I recently reset the phone, knowing I would lose all my low-res photos, but thinking I would simply copy the larger versions from my PC over to my new 128GB Micro SD.
I realized upon doing this though that the phone's Photos app does not recognize any of the high-res photos. In retrospect this makes sense, as when taking a photo it only shows the lower-res copy. But I guess for some reason I thought the high-res versions would show up if manually copied back.
Long story short, I have lost all my low-res photos, any method to get the Photos app to recognize the higher-res copies. I'm unsure how the phone even knows the difference, as the high-res copies seem to be standard JPGs.
I've recently got a new blackberry and i can't see any of my contacts display photos, only a few and no one can see my photo either

Now, for some of my contacts it just displays a grey head and shoulders, even though their Facebook account is still linked. However, if I change their contact photo to their Twitter Profile, this is displayed fine.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI take new photos on my blackberry 9900 they wont open or display... so the photo shows for the few seconds after i have taken it, then i can send it to someone if i want to within about 5 min of taking it - then if i try to access it later the photo doesnt open and i just get the picture icon instead? The first 30 odd photos I took in the begining are still there but all my newest ones dont open, I have tried downloading them to my computer but then it says :file format not supported on all the defective photos? And i tried restarting, taking out the battery, taking out the memory card??
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just completed setting up my Moto XPE to my liking (almost) but noticed that my contacts are not set up "just right".
My contacts live in various places like LinkedIn, FB, MS and Google accounts. I have set up the Contacts app to synch with all these accounts. MS contacts was not straightforward as I use Outlook to access MS services and the contacts in there don't synch with the Android Contacts app. FB and Google don't seem to want to get along so that is another issue. So what I ended up doing is to set up my GMail app to connect with my Hotmail account but synch only the contacts as I prefer to use Outlook for my Hotmail emails.
How do I get my iPhone out of photo "negative" display mode? It went to this mode all of a sudden when I pushed the home bottom at the bottom of the iPhone.

The problem is that it does not display Cell Info display correctly. Only few times it shows, But only for sometime. Is this bug fixed in the latest version 5.44 ???? and it also has the signal problem .. If i put it in my pocket , the whole signal goes away in both sims....

Is there any way to change the display order of the photos once they're uploaded to my Storm 2? The display order on the computer doesn't seem to match the way that they display on the Storm 2 and to tell the truth it doesn't seem to have much to do with the file name either.

For every image I have to pinch to zoom in on an image, then double tap to zoom out before I can swipe to another image. This seems like another major oversight/annoyance in Windows 10 mobile.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an 5230 model wich is working properly, expect one thing, when I switch it OFF, after it takes plenty of time while I can switch ON again. I keep pushing ON button for seconds (as in the manual) till the buzzer and NOKIA logo coming on screen but after 10-15 sec the screen turn dark again and nothing. Mobile is switched off again. I should do every time that process again for ages while finally it switch on.
View 9 Replies View RelatedJust got a new 5230.Downloaded Ovi map 3.04 and installed on phone.Downloaded Ovi Suite for PC.Opened Ovi Suite adn downlaoded a map or my province, and the UK Voice w/ street names.Downlaod was successful adn I got messege that it was transfered to phone. Ovi Suite continually claims that The map is installed on my phone.I stqrt Ovi Maps on my phone, and after acquiring a strong signal, all i get is my co-ordinates, but no map is displayed. No terrain map, no satellite map, no street map.I've installed the app to phone two more times, and re-download and installed the map to my phone more than twice. Still the same problem.I've tried with both A-GPS and phone-only GPS. All signals from cell provider are very strong.Am i missing something, or is my phone having a brain-**bleep**? Having cell-independant GPS is what led me to grab this phone, as I'm out of cell range often. This is getting very frustrating and I'm starting to pull my hair out.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am a new owner of a Nokia Nuron 5230 (via T-Mobile USA) and I am extremely happy with it. Still, I have a couple of issues which I would like to solve with your help:
a) is there a way to turn off or, better, totally eliminate the idiotic T-Mobile jingle when the phone is turned on, and off? At the very least, can I somehow kill the sound of this horrible commercial?
b) in the OVI maps manual it says the following on how to save a place:
Save a place
1 In the map view, go to the location. To search for an address or place, select Search.
2 Press the scroll key.
My N5230 does not have a scroll key. What can I do?
c) still in Ovi Maps; I noticed that when I search for a place, it is a good idea to repeat the exact same search at least three times. Ovi Maps often finds nothing on the first or second try, but does find it on the third. Why is that?
d) again in Ovi Maps: when I am in the 'drive' mode and I have entered to point to drive to, I noticed that when a swipe my finger from right to left I get a 4 different kind of map views. Where can I find details about these views? (they are not documented in the manual I have)
e) last Ovi question: what is the best way to create a route and then look at it in a way similar to what GoogleMaps offers: a map covering start and finish, with the basic data (time, distance, etc.). I have not found a good way to create a route.

I tried in the phone. It is Factory Restore. This does not delete the phone memory.
I want to delete all the contents of the phone. Just like it came when it was new.
