Is it just me, or do the images in the Photos app in Win 10 Mobile (Brand new 950XL) not take advantage of the screen? For every image I have to pinch to zoom in on an image, then double tap to zoom out before I can swipe to another image. This seems like another major oversight/annoyance in Windows 10 mobile.

If it only works over WiFi, that's fine.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently got myself the nokia lumia 1020 after seeing and hearing about the camera on it. Well, I'm disappointed with the photos after transferring them to my computer and I am wondering if I am only getting the 5 mp shots off of the phone. I have a mac, and so I downloaded the Windows Phone app onto the computer so that I can hook my phone up via USB and take the photos off. When I take them off, they are grainy when you zoom in a couple of times. They also only appear to be, on average, 2mb in size. It seems to me that the full sized photos would take up more space than that, or am I wrong?

1. Is this possible from the built-in browser ? I can do it from Opera Mini, but haven't found a straightforward method for the Nokia browser.
2. The images I did download are very small (certainly smaller than the were when uploaded). Is it possible to download the full-sized image ? If not, is this a phone/browser or Facebook limitation ?
I have my Lumia 1520 set to snap both the 5MP jpg and high-res 15mp jpg for each photo. Up until today I would save the high-res versions to my PC, and keep the low-res versions on my phone for quick viewing. I recently reset the phone, knowing I would lose all my low-res photos, but thinking I would simply copy the larger versions from my PC over to my new 128GB Micro SD.
I realized upon doing this though that the phone's Photos app does not recognize any of the high-res photos. In retrospect this makes sense, as when taking a photo it only shows the lower-res copy. But I guess for some reason I thought the high-res versions would show up if manually copied back.
Long story short, I have lost all my low-res photos, any method to get the Photos app to recognize the higher-res copies. I'm unsure how the phone even knows the difference, as the high-res copies seem to be standard JPGs.

does OS7 have an option for displaying a screen full of contact photos that you can select to dial the person? I've had this on other smartphones but can't see how to do it on my OS7 torch.It's like speed dial with pictures.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an iPhone 4S running iOS 7.1.1 with a really strange issue that has persisted even through a full reset. I've found similar threads but I've never found a thread where an issue is throughout the phone such as mine is. At one point I was able to somewhat fix everything but the Camera roll issues but in just a couple of weeks the other problems have all returned. The way I fixed this a few weeks ago was by throwing a hail Mary and deleting Instagram. As soon as I did that, the camera returned to normal even after re-installing it. I removed every Camera app and any apps that use the camera on my phone but this time nothing has fixed the issue. I've also performed a factory reset and restored nothing, re-configuring and installing all software again manually but this issue is still persisting.Â
The first noticeable symptom was my on my camera roll where images would appear like they were black or had some sort of dark filter over them. Many people have had similar issues and there is almost never a resolution on ANY of these threads.As you can see, while the preview is dark, the actual picture is fine. This means it's most likely not anything to do with the hardware side of the camera.Â
Inside the Apple Camera.App the view is also dark, as if there is some sort of dark filter on the camera. But if I apply a filter, the display looks "normal". As you can see below the, on the right with a filter applied the display is as expected. Other camera apps (Instragram, Camera+, MagiCam) have the same issue, but without the ability to set a filter like in the Apple app, the camera remains unusable in those applications.Â
This isn't all though, as we continue down the rabbit hole, the plot thickens. Even displaying photos in full-screen in other apps has that same dark filter look to it:Â This screenshot is taken inside Tweetbot. And as shown below, a similar issue with Music.app displaying Album covers. And while I don't have a screenshot for it off-hand, I've had the same issue watching video in full-screen in the YouTube app.Â
Whenever I used to change my BBM picture I used to save the image from facebook, and they would always be the full quality images and perfectly clear.
In the past week or so, whenever I try to save an image off of facebook or Google now, the picture is very bad quality, blurry, and small.

I recently installed latest os 6 for my Bold 9780. 6.0.0.448. I am running BBM 5.0.1.45
When I send an image it does not give me the option of sending a full res image. I notice it is sent at 29kb file size. A recent recipient requested a higher res image. First, how can I accomodate that request through BBM.
Secondly, is there a way to change the default size for sending images through bbm? I remember I used to be able to pick the resolution as I do now when sending email attachments.
Is it possible for all emails to default to "Display Images" without having to click the button for every message?

There is always at least a 1 second lag between the time an event happens (phone ringing, message received, alarm sounding, etc.) and the time the screen actually lights up. So, when my phone is sitting next to me, when one of those things happens, I hover my finger over the screen for a second and wait for it to light up so I can do anything. I used to have an HTC 8x and the screen would always light up immediately.

However some of the photos aren't displaying the image of the photo, just black or white squares. When I took the pictures they registered as pictures and you could see the photo without any problem. Soon after I returned home, when I tried to upload them to my laptop, I noticed some weren't displaying anything anymore. The photo thumbnail is just a black or white square, and when I tap on it pulls up the 'photo' but there is no image. I'm uploading them to Facebook and I thought it was just an issue with the file format (even though they were taken on the iPhone) and maybe they would display once uploaded, but they haven't. If I remember correctly, when I checked the file size on my laptop they read 0KB. What happened to my photos? Can I get them back?Â

I have iPhone 4s and I want to display full screen contact image when a contact calls. I have taken a picture from iPhone camera and assigned to the contact (both by assigning the photo to the contact from the options on the picture and by editing the contact and assigning the photo) and it still continues to show the small thumbnail.

I've had my N97 for about 6 months and it has been the worst nokia experience. 7 days after purchase, i had to take my device to nokia care for the much documented camera scratch issue. it took a month for them to fix it. my device keeps crashing and freezing every now and then, and tiny scratches are reappearing on the camera lens. now that its out of warranty, i'd need to pay for repairs even though its a knows issue.And there's this weird issue i face every now and then, captured images wont show up in the 'photos' app, although they are visible in file manager. A *¤7370¤ corrercts the problem, but then again the issue reappears in a couple of weeks. Nokia care suggests to reset the device. so its like this:I reset my device every two weeks for it to work correctly. my next device i'm afraid, is not going to be a nokia.

My Photos application is having problem. Whenever i take a photo with the camera (front or back), pictures are clear in this application when previewed.
But when i take a screenshot in the phone or import a image in the phone, then preview those images or screenshots in the Photos application, it is not clear.
Also, I tried clicking the "settings" button on the top right in the Photos application, nothing is appearing.
I have some forlders on the internal storage that contain mass amounts of images that are inteded to be used as data, not media. Is there a way to designate where the media app pulls its picures from?
