i just updated my phone to symbian anna and i'm really fond of how the upgraded OS looks. however i seem to have a problem with photos, since for some reason not all images seem to be showing there. i just sent a picture by bluetooth from my laptop and the only way i can view it is through filemanager. there seems to be no way to refresh images and video library.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've had my N97 for about 6 months and it has been the worst nokia experience. 7 days after purchase, i had to take my device to nokia care for the much documented camera scratch issue. it took a month for them to fix it. my device keeps crashing and freezing every now and then, and tiny scratches are reappearing on the camera lens. now that its out of warranty, i'd need to pay for repairs even though its a knows issue.And there's this weird issue i face every now and then, captured images wont show up in the 'photos' app, although they are visible in file manager. A *¤7370¤ corrercts the problem, but then again the issue reappears in a couple of weeks. Nokia care suggests to reset the device. so its like this:I reset my device every two weeks for it to work correctly. my next device i'm afraid, is not going to be a nokia.

View 8 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else run across this issue? If I have the Nokia 808 in Creative mode and manually adjust the ISO, sometimes I get dark images. This is in bright daylight with my subject completely visible and well-lit in the view finder. It doesn't really matter what the ISO setting is, the pictures will come out dark. If I choose Automatic and then back to Creative, it will "fix" it.
That's not entirely true. I don't know what fixes it. But it will return to normal. I tried to make it happen before writing this note, but could not repeat it indoors. It's possible the bright sunlight was part of the problem...as if the 808 overcompensated for all the light.that gave me an idea...looking at the EXIF properties of the dark images, Lightsource is "Unknown".On the properly exposed images, it says "Daylight". Perhaps this is a clue?

When I closed the software update and started to use the opera mini and Nokia store, the Nokia store app is closing on its own. Other problems with fp2 are, camera takes long time to open. Gallery opens but we cannot tap on images, same thing with thumbnail image in the camera sometimes.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've just came back to the Symbian fold after a long hiatus (my last Symbian device being Panasonic X800 with S60 2nd Edition). There's some learning curve, but so far I'm really enjoying my Nokia 808.
Previously, I've been using a Nokia 6700 (S40) as a communication device and iPod Touch as a photo/web viewer/PDA, but I would like to consolidate these functionality into one with 808.
This would mean I would want to be able to automatically sync photos from my PC to my Nokia in addition the the standard Nokia Suite ability to sync from the phone to PC. With iTunes, I would have specified a picture folder and the sync would go both direction with an ability to set folder exceptions if necessary. Would you know if there's a way to do something similar with Symbian devices?
One solution would be to skip Nokia Suite altogether and use something like Microsoft SyncToy in USB Mass Storage mode, but it's not exactly an elegant solution.
Last year I went on holiday and at the time I took lots of photos, around 500 in total. However some of the photos aren't displaying the image of the photo, just black or white squares. When I took the pictures they registered as pictures and you could see the photo without any problem. Soon after I returned home, when I tried to upload them to my laptop, I noticed some weren't displaying anything anymore. The photo thumbnail is just a black or white square, and when I tap on it pulls up the 'photo' but there is no image. I'm uploading them to Facebook and I thought it was just an issue with the file format (even though they were taken on the iPhone) and maybe they would display once uploaded, but they haven't. If I remember correctly, when I checked the file size on my laptop they read 0KB. What happened to my photos? Can I get them back?Â

Usually, such files are accessible by plugging it to a computer, with the phone either set to PC Suite or Mass Storage Mode.That was before. Now I can't. I've just noticed it just a week ago or so, and this problem still continues until now.I'm not sure what caused this, and I didn't have this problem before. I'm not sure either if this problem was caused by my recent update to Nokia Belle.Old photos and videos taken are completely accessible but the new ones I've recently captured are not accessible via PC Suite or Mass Storage Mode. It does not show in my PC or my laptop (both runs on Windows 7). The photos and videos are only accessible in the phone itself. The only way for me to transfer recently taken photos and videos is by sending it via Bluetooth to my laptop, which is very time consuming.
