May 31, 2010Right from day 1 the display date of my E52 does not update and reflect correct the correct date. Got the phone replaced once still the same issue. Called the customer service and they say there is no such problem with E52. They asked me to go to the repair center...(isnt that ridiculous to ask a customer of a new phone to do so?). I went to the repair center with a hope that they will replace it for me but all in vain. They also gave me a ridiculous answer that Nokia does not have a replacement policy...and I was like so is it Nokia's policy to sell broken and faulty mobiles? I was utterly dejected. The electronic store where I bought also refuse to replace because they think there is a problem and no matter I get it changed it will recur. I still do not have a solution as all my ways of getting this problem resolved are exhausted. Anyone has a solution or came across this issue which can be solved without repairing?

Apr 29, 2011While on speakerphone the display will naturally go dark after awhile. But if I need to turn speakerphone off and remain in the call, how do I do this? Obviously I would need to bring the display back up so I can tap the speakerphone button, but I can't seem to get the display to come back while in the call. If I briefly tap the power button, the call is dropped. Touching the volume or camera button won't bring the display back, so what is one to do? Drop the call and call them back?

On the motoactv web app Under Display Preferences/Data Format, there is only dd/MM/yyyy and MM/dd/yyyy. Please provide the more sane unabiguous yyyy/mm/dd format so this can be consistent.) Display Units My Display Units are set to Metric. However on the MotoACTV web app when I select Workouts/Latest Workout/Workout Stats, the distance and pacing are recorded in km, but the elevation shows in ft. I am not sure at this point if it is the 'ft' label is wrong, or the actual numeric display and/or conversion is wrong, but you guys I'm sure can figure this out. You can verify this here:

It can't be that the 'real estate is too small - LG manages to do it just fine on the Xenon GR500FD phone with smaller on-screen buttons.The lack of letters on the dialpad makes it extremely difficult to interact with IVR systems where you need to be able to dial by 'last name'think calling a large company or hospital when you don't know the person's extension.Has anyone found a way to mod the 5230 dialpad to display letters & numbers on it?

Jul 19, 2010I had pictures on my motorola phone and transferred them by blue tooth to my nokia 5230, as i don't have USB cable for the motorola phone to move them to my computer while i do have it for the nokia (my computer has no blue tooth capabilities). And strange the pictures get always put by default in the inbox of my nokia and when i connect the nokia 5230 to my computer through the USB cable, the wizard that opens to move files between the phone and computer, doesn't move or synchronize those pictures, it moves all the files in my inbox except those pictures and when i try to explore the files content of the nokia phone on my computer by exploring my mobile phone drive which shows 2 drives, one for the phone memory card and one for the phone SIM card, I can see all files on my phone SIM or memory card except those pictures. I can never email or text those pictures direct from the phone as the phone doesn't at all provide any option to do that and doesn't allow to move the pictures to any other folder on my phone except to My Folders which acts the same like inbox of not allowing any option to move them out of there through USB or email or text. The only way to do it is to move them one by one to my gallery which allows all files stored in it to get synchronized with my computer, the only problem with this method is I have 1000 pictures and moving them individually would take days. Any help how to move those pictures to my computer in one shot?

Sep 25, 2012Does anyone know how to delete the date marker 'slides' that get automatically created in the 808's photo gallery? I can't seem to delete them and after moving all of my photos across to my PC tonight I am left with a right old mess of markers in the gallery.I suspect that they might actually be JPG files because I've occasionally seen them copied across to my SkyDrive Camera Roll folder.

May 10, 2010I have just bought a Nokia 6700 Slide and I'm quite satisfied but I have a little problem with it :
I had a lot of Nokia and on each one, you had the possibility to put the date and hour as a screen saver. But with my Nokia 6700 Slide, I just don't find the way to configure it. On the stand-by mode the screen is just black when the keypad is locked.
I went back to the shop where i bought it, the guy tried to configure it and he couldn't so he decided to change the mobile phone by a new one because he said all the nokia mobile phones do it so it's a bug. But with the new one, it's the same problem, the seller configured the 6700 slide with the "date" screen saver and nothing except black screen. I went back home and install 2 another free screen saver : cClcok and Largetime and it is the same ! black screen !
So I called nokia hot line and they could'nt help me because this phone is too recent, they hadn't one at this moment to try...
