I recently bought a 2710 navigate edition and I can't put it to vibrate. My General and Silent modes are set to vibrate but they do not vibrate. Am I missing something here ? Also what's (what does it) for the option Menu>Settings>Phone>Sensor ? What does it do when is ON ?
I havent found any settings to adjust the brighness of the display in my new Nokia 2710. But the manual says that i should reduce the brightness if i wanted to save battery power. Did i miss something? I think its just not implemented! Thats very disappointing, since the dispaly is too bright to use it as a navigation device at night in the car.
For Nokia 2710 NAV not exist maps GPS navigation allows navigation in an acceptable mode and optimum precision. There are only a rough map. This applies to Europe and Russia, as other countries do not know.
I got problems with ovi map 3.04. I can launch it and all is okai. But he can't find me, when i'm not connected to internet. When i connect to WLAN it's working, and its find me where i'm. But when i go outside and turn it. He can't find where i'm. But i can look all ower the map.
I want to buy one of these and am fed up waiting for it to be released in the UK. 'European' editions are available on the net - if there are any differences between these and those that will eventually be available here?
I have a problem with my Nokia 5230 Navigation Edition: when I launch OVI Maps application and choose desired route, I have only a message: "Waiting for GPS" - all the time, no matter where I am - in the big city, in the countryside, on the field - still no fix caught. I have latest OVI Maps version installed and all settings set to rely on built-in GPS module.Do You have any ideas how to make my 5230 NE to be really NE?
I've just taken delivery of my new Nokia 2710, which I bought to take advantage of the free worldwide maps that Nokia offers. It could be that I don't really understand the interface yet, but I have not found any way to plan a route from A to B via C. From A to B is pretty straightforward and works well, but all the clicking around hasn't enabled me to plan a detour. The only option seems to be to set the detour as destination and after arriving set the final destination. This is not really an option for me. The 'plan route' menu looks like the place to add a via point, but I haven't been able to change anything other than the starting point and the destination. I realize that the Maps software for S40 series phones would be somewhat limited compared to the S60 series/smartphones, but this strikes me as something that should be in there.
It's almost 3 days and i m trying to connect my GPS without internet. I cant connect to it i dont know why, i've done all of the settings and went out for perfect location to lock the signal and waited for 45 mins but it still showed WAITING FOR GPS. Is anyone suffering from this problem?

I recently bought a Nokia 2710. I'm really happy with it! But I want to add some extra POI! Sadly, that doesn't work! I tried doing it with PoiEdit, the online one from Garmin,.. Nothing works! I put the lmx files on my phone with USB. But, when I try to open, it doesnt work.

I am using Nokia Ovi Suite v188.8.131.52 with my Nokia E72.I am trying to download map using Ovi Suite Map but every time I get error that " There seems to be a problem with connectin to the online map service."
I have a Nokia 5230 which I have updated the maps via Ovi suite on my PC,. However when I go to Ovi maps on my phone it always says connection failed, if I try to go to my location I get the red dot flashing searching for position then will go solid for a short while and start to flash again, it gives my location about 1 mile from where I am. Also from the OVI maps screen if I try to sign into my Nokia accost,(To get A-GPS I think) I get the message saying this requires you to go online, 'yes' brings up the connection failed message. I can browse the internet and go to face book etc.
Our company has recently bought 220pcs of nokia 2710 (brand new). After using them for 3days (8 hour shifts) GPS started to fail - the GPS icon just disappears and GPS itself does not send any new data. Some of the phones recover after a full restart others don't.I have called Nokia support and according to them if the GPS icon is missing the phone is defect. We have already replaced 30 phones under warranty, but each day new ones are affected by this issue. I suspected there might be some energy saving feature (although most users have the car charger connected all the time) or other option which turns off the GPS, but again Nokia support says no. Does anybody know how to resolve this issue or are the phones just not built for 8hour GPS standby?
I am facing problem with the navigator on my new E6 nokia. it takes too long time to connect to connect to satellite! I have problem to download maps into my phone (Nokia C6-00, last firmware v40.0.021). If I launch Ovi Suite (v184.108.40.206) and go to Maps section, screen "Connecting to the map service..." is displayed, but after while: "Couldn't connect to the service - There seems to be a problem with connecting to the online map service. If the problem doesn't go away, please try again later.".
I'm connected over WiFi and all is working normally. I tried connection over USB cable and bluetooth as well, restart computer and phone, reinstall Ovi Suite, format memory card, reinstall device software, reset to factory settings, full reset to initial state (*#7370#) but it wasn't worked.

The Ovi Store on my 5530 XM Games Edition just gets stuck on the splash screen and the store itself doesn't even load. How can I fix this? Also I was browsing the Nokia Store and I notice that there is a Nokia Music Headset HS-45, AD 54.....I was wondering if this fully works with the 5530 XM Games Edition because the main reason I want to get this is for music control....And also, does this headset have a mic in it?
I installed Nokia Navigation 2.0 with some maps on my Lumia phone. But how can I find out the version of the installed maps? And how can I check the actual existing version of the maps on the Nokia server?
