Jul 26, 2012My music player has suddenly stopped working. When I open it, it just shows file is corrupted and fails to play any song. Refreshing the library doesnt work. Nor does reinstalling the phone firmware.

Nov 10, 2011I have just purchased a Nokia 5130 XpressMusic mobile phone which came with music. I have previously had a similar phone which came with music which for the last year I have been using. That unlimited downloads has now expired. So I have plugged in my new phone, which I have not used to purcahse any music with through my old unlimited downloads, and it is saying:You can't use this mobile for Nokia Music Unlimited edition mobile. The phone is capable of playing music (it is an XpressMusic mobile). I have specifically gone and purchased this phone for the unlimited downloads and will not be very happy if I am unable to activate it.

Recently in Africa I had no service. It also prompted to insert a simm card. The moment I returned to Toronto I had full service again. Would an operating system update fix this new bug ? Aug 5, 2012I have a 5800 and recently wanted to play a song. When I started the player, I got an error - something to do with the music library being corrupted. I left it to try and sort the problem for a while and then pressed STOP. When I tried later, the library was empty.I have upgraded the Music player but that also did not help. I removed the memory card where the MUSIC diretory is located and re-installed it. I have also re-booted the phone several times.From my PC I can see the directroy with all my music. All attempts to REFRESH the library on the phone fail with a message saying that 0 songs have been added. I have left it for long periods of time but still have no songs.If I locate a song with the file manager I can play it.Is there some way to delete/reset the library database and force it to re-create it?

Sep 12, 2011i've just updated the firmware (v. 52.0.007) for my nokia 5800 xm, but when i tried to open the music player application, it tells me that there is a system error. i've tried re-installing the phone update but music player still shows me a general system error. this is making me quite sad. i want my music! heck, it's an 'xpressmusic' phone.
been a bit disappointed with nokia lately. first the Internet failure and now this... don't make a nokia loyalist switch to apple!

Handy can not find the headset!
1. Bluetooth ist switched to "on"
2. Handy set to "visible to evrybody"
3. Headset ist checked and working (functening with my notebook !)
4. Handy Bluetooth checked and working too (notebook found by it)
Still no connection between 2710 an Headset. Any Idear?

I'm looking at buying the Nokia 5800 Navigation Edition Unlocked Phone and have a couple of questions.
If I don't activate the phone immediately with a service provider,
- will I still be able to have full access to the internet and email whenever a Wi-Fi network is available?
- and, will I also have full access to the GPS navigation facilities of the unit?
Does the 5800 Navigation model lack any features that are available with the 5800 XpressMusic model? The 'compare' function at the Nokia website seems to show the exact same specs for both models.

May 31, 2010I havent found any settings to adjust the brighness of the display in my new Nokia 2710. But the manual says that i should reduce the brightness if i wanted to save battery power. Did i miss something? I think its just not implemented! Thats very disappointing, since the dispaly is too bright to use it as a navigation device at night in the car.

Jul 11, 2012I dont't know if this was asked before but I couldn't find a toppick with exactly the same problem.When I browse through the albums the songs are listed in the right order ,but when I start dding them to a playlist (doesn't matter if it's new or existing) they appear sorted alphabeticaly.There is no option to correct that.It seems that when adding songs to playlist the player reads the song name and not the song nomber from the tag.I even tryed adding the correct numbers infront of the song name in the id3tag but then again it sorts them wrong (like 01,10,11,12,13,02,03,04,etc.)

Oct 8, 2012Recently ive been using my Nokia 808 as a music player in my car, my Kenwood stereo has a aux input and the 808 has a small headphone jack output so connecting it is no problem (i dont use the FM transmitter on the phone as the aerial on my car isnt so good and i get interference).
It works well but the major problem is that its very quiet compared to a cd. I have used software to normalise the volume of all my audio tracks so they are pretty much at normal cd level but they are still quietier than cd's played by the car stereo by quite a long way. The problem is not with my car stereo as its an extremely good unit which cost me a lot of money, so therefore it must be that the phone simply does not output enough volume.
know of a device that can increase the volume to the car stereo aux input?

Feb 3, 2010I wanted to add just one new song onto my N97, it was a song that I heard on the radio and liked so I purchased it on iTunes added it to a playlist and transferred it to my N97 using NMT. This all went fine until I tried refreshing the music library, no matter what I did the refresh would not find the additional song. I checked the transfer using YBrowser and sure enough the song had been transferred and the playlist had the new song added (I could even play it in the file browser) but this would not update in the music player. I had to delete all 4.7GB of music off my N97 (including the playlists) using NMT then disconnect the phone and refresh the library, the music library then displayed 0 songs. Then using NMT I had to reload all of the music and refresh the library, this time it worked.As you can imagine deleting and reloading 4.7GB (thankfully I don't have more music on my phone) of data takes quite a bit of time, all to add just one new 8MB song.

May 20, 2011Yesterday I received my new BH-905i (the batteries were fully charged overnight) which was easy to pair with my N96 (SW 30.033.098.1). But when listening to music from my 8GB microSD, the sound fades completely every 11s for 1s and then comes back for 11s to do the same on and on. This does not happen when listening wired. Also streaming the same music from N96 through Bluetooth in my car works with no problems.
