Nokia Nseries :: New BH-905i On N96 Fades Every 11s The Music For 1s?
May 20, 2011
Yesterday I received my new BH-905i (the batteries were fully charged overnight) which was easy to pair with my N96 (SW 30.033.098.1). But when listening to music from my 8GB microSD, the sound fades completely every 11s for 1s and then comes back for 11s to do the same on and on. This does not happen when listening wired. Also streaming the same music from N96 through Bluetooth in my car works with no problems.
I've bought a pair of bh-905i and it works very well with my N8! However, I can't control the volume from the phone! I'm sure the N8 has this BT profile as I can control the volume of another SE bluetooth headset via the N8.
Bluetooth on the phone is active & connecting to my blacberry/laptop fine. My BH-905i's have been working fine with my N8, but the N9 doesn't see them at all. I have the latest software update.
I received a new pair of BH-905i headphones from Amazon.com yesterday. Last night I connected the charger to let it charge overnight and noted that the charging light was read, meaning connection was good. This morning, the charing light is still red, not green. Does it mean this unit and/or the charger is faulty?
I have a 5800 and recently wanted to play a song. When I started the player, I got an error - something to do with the music library being corrupted. I left it to try and sort the problem for a while and then pressed STOP. When I tried later, the library was empty.I have upgraded the Music player but that also did not help. I removed the memory card where the MUSIC diretory is located and re-installed it. I have also re-booted the phone several times. From my PC I can see the directroy with all my music. All attempts to REFRESH the library on the phone fail with a message saying that 0 songs have been added. I have left it for long periods of time but still have no songs. If I locate a song with the file manager I can play it.Is there some way to delete/reset the library database and force it to re-create it?
As we all know, the battery life of the N97 is the worst of any cellphone ever made in the history of the universe. But - as of about a week ago, mine has just got a lot worse. I can charge my phone up literally all day - maybe 9-10 hours of charging, then unplug it and go to bed, and by the morning it will be down to about 3 bars of 'charge' or something.Eventually after a couple of hours it will give up and turn off and I have to charge it again. And this is with me not even using it.So what's going on? Battery problem? Software issue?Help
So I downloaded ovi maps 3.03 for my Nokia 5800 Xpress Music phone, but it fails. When I'm pressing the maps icon I get to the ovi maps menu, and after 10 seconds or so, my screen just fades out and restarts itself Any ideas of what could be wrong?
I dont't know if this was asked before but I couldn't find a toppick with exactly the same problem. When I browse through the albums the songs are listed in the right order ,but when I start dding them to a playlist (doesn't matter if it's new or existing) they appear sorted alphabeticaly. There is no option to correct that.It seems that when adding songs to playlist the player reads the song name and not the song nomber from the tag.I even tryed adding the correct numbers infront of the song name in the id3tag but then again it sorts them wrong (like 01,10,11,12,13,02,03,04,etc.)
Recently ive been using my Nokia 808 as a music player in my car, my Kenwood stereo has a aux input and the 808 has a small headphone jack output so connecting it is no problem (i dont use the FM transmitter on the phone as the aerial on my car isnt so good and i get interference).
It works well but the major problem is that its very quiet compared to a cd. I have used software to normalise the volume of all my audio tracks so they are pretty much at normal cd level but they are still quietier than cd's played by the car stereo by quite a long way. The problem is not with my car stereo as its an extremely good unit which cost me a lot of money, so therefore it must be that the phone simply does not output enough volume.
know of a device that can increase the volume to the car stereo aux input?
is there a way to set up the library so that it gets music from only one folder in the phone? (for example from E:Music)currently even the sound files from games are included in my library and it is really annoying
I wanted to add just one new song onto my N97, it was a song that I heard on the radio and liked so I purchased it on iTunes added it to a playlist and transferred it to my N97 using NMT. This all went fine until I tried refreshing the music library, no matter what I did the refresh would not find the additional song. I checked the transfer using YBrowser and sure enough the song had been transferred and the playlist had the new song added (I could even play it in the file browser) but this would not update in the music player. I had to delete all 4.7GB of music off my N97 (including the playlists) using NMT then disconnect the phone and refresh the library, the music library then displayed 0 songs. Then using NMT I had to reload all of the music and refresh the library, this time it worked. As you can imagine deleting and reloading 4.7GB (thankfully I don't have more music on my phone) of data takes quite a bit of time, all to add just one new 8MB song.

My music player has suddenly stopped working. When I open it, it just shows file is corrupted and fails to play any song. Refreshing the library doesnt work. Nor does reinstalling the phone firmware.
I am a Nokia n8 user and I am pretty happy with it ( Wouldn't trade it for an Iphone ) . I am going in a trip soon and I would like to know if I can listen to Music on my N8 for around 6-7 hours without recharging. I am going to use Pioneer SE-M390 Headphones and I'd like to turn the volume very high ( Maybe Max ). Do you think my phone can handle it? I have recently deleted all widgets and turned off all background apps . With energy saving mode the phone survies decently a few days ( it simply stays unused ). Do you think I should better buy a MP3 Player? The ones I have been looking into are pretty expensive and I thought the phone might be good too since the sound is superb and has a lot of memory. Also during the camp I might be the "DJ" with the Radio FM transmitter. Plugged in with the charger would it be able to transmit continuously for 8 hours ( I dont want to burn it =D ). Further more I would also like to buy a MicroSD Card , a Sandisk Ultra 32gb ANDROID. What does the Android stand for? On Sandisk's site it says it is specially designed for Android phones. Does it mean I cannot use it with my N8 ( Belle OS ) ? I dont wanna spend 60$ for something useless. Some guys said I can "Format" the MicroSD to get rid of the "application for Android" located on the MicroSD.
a few months ago,i'd updated my c6-01 to nokia belle, but a few days after that I found my social app saying unable to start.....and my ovi music store is not working.
i have Purchased N8 last year Dec 2010, I was able to download music from ovi store Till last month ,Suddenly, Why i am trying to download Music, It says yours is not a registerd mobile, (or) get a unlimited addition Mobile for Download. Even My Ovi Music Application is not ever resposnding.I Tried to re-register with IME Number but it says already registered.
Just finished reinstalling my 701 after a factory reset (*#7370#) and reinstall Belle FP1. Restored just data, contacts, messages. Didn't restore apps and config from backup. AND lost long time reinstalling all my apps, one by one. I was pretty happy about the result, when I tried to open OVI Music app... And it wouldn't start! Just shows a circle for less than one second and terminates before starting.
where can i download the OVI music application on my phone, actually what happend was it stopped working i used to click on the icon it would show a blank screen for a couple of seconds and then back to the menu icon, so i uninstalled it via NETQIN and now i want it back. I tried gettin into the ovi site by the bookmark provided on the nokia browserit lets me browse thru the store however when i try to login it says that its not my registered device... So no downloads from Ovi music
Unless I'm missing something. There is no way to search/narrow the music list like in the contact list? White 808 Pureview NAMBlack N8 NAMSilver N95-3 NAM
I remember that on my old n95 8gb I could edit the tags of music, when I went to info of a song, could just select a box and type in it to edit the tags of the song.but on my n8, when I go to info, it shows the info but I cannot edit it. why was this feature removed?? and is there any way to get it back?
default music player is not refreshing ,when i start refresh is shows 5 songs added but it didnt stop refreshing and after some time the player got hang and i can't play any music and ultimately i hv to restart the ph.
I bought a 32GB MicroSD card for my N8 so that I had enough capacity to store all of my MP3s. Unfortunately I can't convince Ovi Music Player to sync music to that location. It always tries to sync the music to the N8's 16GB internal storage area despite there not being enough capacity to do so. Is there any way to configure either Ovi Music Player or the N8 to use the MicroSD card exclusively for the music library?
I have bought new Nokia 5233, two days back. And I have inserted a 2GB Micro SD Memory card to it. When I tried to open the Music Player, it showed only some 70 songs, instead of 172 which the Memory card had originally in it.I tried to Refresh the Music Player, initially it showed that files are been loaded. But after about 50 songs the device hanged up there.I tried to cancel the process, but it didn't respond anything. The Screen got struck and I have to switch-off mobile and start it again to resume it into operation. I tried to pull out the Memory card and insert it again, but the songs are not getting populated in the Music Player.
i have problem with my music player can't refresh library, so i did what they tell me on this board, delet the .dat file on Private folder on the sd card.and after did that, i restart my 5233 and go to music player. the music player starting to search for music and podcast, but it never end. it has been 14 hours. what should i do? should i go to nokia center?
My N8 could always sync music no problem before I changed to Belle. After the upgrade, Nokia Suite could not see any of the existing music on my phone even though it is still there & I can play it through the phone. I added some more music to the phone through the drag & drop function on Nokia suite & now when I try to sync, this isn't visible either. How to get Nokia Suite to see the music on my phone?
