It's almost 3 days and i m trying to connect my GPS without internet. I cant connect to it i dont know why, i've done all of the settings and went out for perfect location to lock the signal and waited for 45 mins but it still showed WAITING FOR GPS. Is anyone suffering from this problem?
i am trying to connect to gps through my nokia C5-00 since yesterday but its not working . It just shows me waiting for gps for hours with all types of settings except bluetooth. The software version of my cell is 071.005 because it makes me feel bad when my roommate is enjoying gps with his C5-00 and i cannot even acquire a signal.
I'm from Malaysia and i bought my c6-01 on August 2011 but the navigation software was unable to operate because it cant connect to the satellite.it kept "waiting for GPS" and it took forever to find the GPS...
Navigation used to work fine on my X6, but since having to do a hard reset of the phone (due to other problems!) I cannot use the Navigation.
Everytime I get the error 'navigation cannot start at this location' and it doesn't seem like the phone can ever pick up my location.I have tried un-installing and re-installing the application but to no-avail!I haven't even wasted my time calling Nokia Support, as they are totally useless!
I am using Nokia Ovi Suite v3.1.1.75 with my Nokia E72.I am trying to download map using Ovi Suite Map but every time I get error that " There seems to be a problem with connectin to the online map service."
I have a Nokia 5230 which I have updated the maps via Ovi suite on my PC,. However when I go to Ovi maps on my phone it always says connection failed, if I try to go to my location I get the red dot flashing searching for position then will go solid for a short while and start to flash again, it gives my location about 1 mile from where I am. Also from the OVI maps screen if I try to sign into my Nokia accost,(To get A-GPS I think) I get the message saying this requires you to go online, 'yes' brings up the connection failed message. I can browse the internet and go to face book etc.
I am facing problem with the navigator on my new E6 nokia. it takes too long time to connect to connect to satellite! Before i was using E72 it was taking around 1-2 min to connect,, but with my new E6 it takes more than 15 to 20 minutes to connect! Is it normal to take this long time? Can I do something to speed it up?
I have problem to download maps into my phone (Nokia C6-00, last firmware v40.0.021). If I launch Ovi Suite (v3.1.1.90) and go to Maps section, screen "Connecting to the map service..." is displayed, but after while: "Couldn't connect to the service - There seems to be a problem with connecting to the online map service. If the problem doesn't go away, please try again later.".
I'm connected over WiFi and all is working normally. I tried connection over USB cable and bluetooth as well, restart computer and phone, reinstall Ovi Suite, format memory card, reinstall device software, reset to factory settings, full reset to initial state (*#7370#) but it wasn't worked.
Versions of the maps in my phone: v3.06 11wk13 b01 MW OpenGL MN Map version 0.2.44.110
If I launch maps in my phone and go to Update, there is option "Add new maps", after select appropriate map and click on Download is progress bar "Installing, please wait!" displayed, but process ends with error message "Map download failed!".
I recently reinstalled the firmware to my E90 Communicator but now I can't find the latest Maps application (3.01) anywhere. After the reinstallation my device only has the 2.0 Maps.
Both the firmware of the device and my Nokia Suite are the latest versions available. I sent Nokia an email and they replied that the Maps can be downloaded thru Nokia Suite, but I don't see any download links there.
Nokia Store's website simply states that the (newest) Maps application is not available for the E90 - but none of the older versions can be found. The same goes for Mail for Exchange - that was lost in the process as well and no longer available for this model from Nokia.
I made a hard reset to N8 running Symbian Anna 25.07 and I'm unable to install Nokia Maps. Software Updater doesn't show any Maps related updates, I cant find any installer in Nokia Store, installation of Ovi Maps 3.06 and Nokia Maps 3.08 found on the Internet fails as well.
I have a Nokia 6600 Slide with the latest software (V6.55). I was successfully using Nokia Maps GPS navigation having purchased a license key for UK/Ireland in January 2011. I have an external bluetooth GPS device. Howver, the Maps license key has now expired (as expected, it was a 1-year licence). Without a license I cannot use the voice-guided navigation function. When I go throoug the phone menus to purchase a 1-year license again, I get to the menu that asks which payment method I wan to use (I select Visa). At this point the screen just refreshes, with no message or error code. I am not asked for payment card details. I cannot get past the "payment method" menu. This process worked just fine for me in Jan 2011 when I first purchased a license, and other web browing functions using the built-in web browser are just fine. I have tried refreshing the Nokia software (It was already at V6.55, which is the latest level).

I uninstalled the Ovi Maps app on my 6650 phone, abd now I can't figure out how to reinstall it. The Map Updater program tells me that the files on my phone are up to date, but the app is missing on the phone.
i don't know why my device and ovi suite are giving me this issue. i did a delete data and restore after having issues with bubbles and sleeping screen, when they were in beta form. also something else was causing the phone to run slowly, i don't know what it was. after the delete and restorel, i re-installed the firmware 014.002. now everytime i plug in my mobile to my computer and i try to re-install the maps i get a message saying that i need to update my old maps. the thing is, i don't have any maps on the phone. i'm using Maps version 3.06 if that helps. i even tried delete data and restore, and re-installing the firmware again to see if that would help, but no success.i sold my GPS unit and was using the N8 as a replacement. it was doing an awesome job up until now. also i tried contacting nokia about the problem and their tech support seems to have reading problems and they keep telling me to do the steps i already did.
When using check-in you get a list of nearby places to select from. There is a small icon on the upper right corner that seems to be an "add location" feature if your current location is not listed. However that button is always greyed out.
I am using 3.06on and E6 and am logged in properly to maps and have no problems checking in and using existing locations.
My Nokia history:2110 => 6110 => 8110 => 6310 => 2300 => 2600 => 6070 => E71 => N97 Mini => E72 => C7 => E7 => E6 => 700
I'm using N8, firmware : Belle, Map just updated to version 3.09.When checking in through Map app, the add place button in check in app is in grey color and unable to add new place if no suitable place found in the list.
I have recently bought a 5230 with Ovi maps supposedly installed and since re-installed several times. It has proved impossible to access the maps and despite e.mails and phone calls to Nokia, Carphone Warehouse, and Talk Mobile, no one is able to resolve this problem, or reply to e.mails.I have also spent nearly four hours, in two visits to a branch of Carphone Warehouse, and despite the best efforts of the staff, no one can come up with a solution. Every time I try to connect, I receive " connection failed, please try later," no maps, nothing but empty screens.
is it justt me but i'm still unable to dowload or update maps using ovi suite ?i have a c5-04 and i tought that the new ovi suite would have resolve the persisting problem.i have try to erease the maps folder, reeboot, retry to update maps, but stil got message telling me that there is newer maps but it's impossible to dowload any.it was working just fine before the last 2 ovi suite update.Main reason i have a Nokia is the GPS option but now love is just fading away and it's deeply annoying.
Recently, unable to sign in and sync favouites. Able to use Ovi and sign in there. On the maps menu screen at the top it syas 'Please sign in'. Going to my account screen show my log in name at the top but pressing the sign in button does nothing. Using C7/ Anna.
lately i was asked to perform an update to the latest version of my E6, and after i did that i was unable to view my maps in the satellite imaging, instead only road line showed up as if in the map view.
1) Via Nokia Suite it returns message Saying something Wrong and asking to reboot PC or reinstall latest version of Suite. Performed al suggested 3 times - did solve the problem) Via Map Loader on device - Returns message statin "No files found on Server", Tried all including reset to fac. settings with wipe data 2 times - did not help) Downloading Voice Guidance: Returns with message something like "No connection to server, try later"
I am using ovi maps v 3.03 on my 5230 and everything is ok. My younger brother bought nokia 5233 yesterday. We downloaded this version on his phone but we are unable to get position (longitude, latitude etc.) in gps data. What I want to know is which positioning method option should be enabled on 5233 Bluetooth, network based or both?
I installed Nokia Navigation 2.0 with some maps on my Lumia phone. But how can I find out the version of the installed maps? And how can I check the actual existing version of the maps on the Nokia server?
If instructions upon page 77 of N9 UG (Eng) not clear enough you do need to download appropriate voice file with street names as none installed by default. After you have chosen "Walking person" icon > Get directions > Navigate you need to tap upon grey tool bar at base of screen After selecting Voice Guidance > tap on select voice to reveal choices available.
I have downloaded the "Own Voice" guidance for navigation but seem to have lost my setting it up. how to set up my own voice? By that I mean, to record my own voice? All I can do as of now is choose "Own Voice" in the Settings -> Walk/Drive -> Voice Guidance. But where to RECORD my own voice?
is it possible to use the satellite view during navigation? Is saw this with the Google Maps navigation app and I'm wondering now, if it's possible with Nokia Maps, too.
