recently bought a 2680 slide for my daughter (her first phone).When she receives a call, the callers name is not displayed, just the word "call".All contacts have been keyed into the phone memory, nothing on the sim and no duplicates.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just bought a Nokia 2220 slide, and have always had Nokias and loved them, as easy to use. However, I can not make this phone display the number that is calling? For example I have added my home number as a contact, as well as my partners mobile, and both phones when they ring it comes up as "call" and then if I miss the call, it states (no number). And I know for a fact both of these numbers are not private. Is there a setting I need to change to make the number display? I have turned on my info display for other callers, but this has not helped.
View 4 Replies View RelatedRecently got a new 5800 xpress music and have entered all contacts into mobile. When contacts are calling me it is not displaying their number just saying call calling. Having noticed some people have been having same problems,I have checked that I do not have any duplicate numbers stored, and have also tried saving only to sim or only to phone but neither are allowing the number to be displayed. I run my own business so this is getting annoying as if I miss a call I don't have a clue who it is and can not return any calls!! Can anybody help!

I would expect, like every other phone I've ever seen, that it would display the associated name.

Every time I got a phone call, it would always say it was Stephanie, but it wasn't. Then, when I'd go into my call logs, it'd show the accurate names of the people who called me.

I was able to associate an image in the contacts list but for some reason, when that person calls me, their picture doesn't show on the screen. Now...any incoming call...from any of my contacts...it says 'unknown'.
I have played with the app's Merge+ and Contacts+....nope....just will not show the contact name of incoming call. (Just want these contacts to reside IN my phone...just like they nice and simply did in my old Nokia).
Once I've added a face (image) to the contact, that image is displayed full screen when the person calls. No problem, how to fix that ridiculous stretched view? Its like the aspect ratio has gone doolally?

I was told by the representative that the phone was tri-band and would work in the United States, where I live presently. I am emailing from the US where the phone does not work. It does not roam with my UK network (o2), nor will my AT&T sim card work in the phone (sim card registration failed).Any ideas? I thought an unlocked handset bought from an independent provider would work on any network??

When my secretary took it to the Care Centre to get it fixed (her Chinese is better than mine) they charged RMB200 (about 20 pounds) to repair it. Is this normal? They said that even though the lock was probably faulty I could not prove it.When I called Nokia Care all they could say was 'this is our policy in China'. I like the phone but cannot stand the Nokia customer service these days.

this is the situation:
IF my phone is LOCKED:
I can see the slides, but touchscreen doesn't work (I know I have to move my finger in right direction over the "answer" arrow).
So:If I unlock the phone with side button I can see gray "virtual" buttons and they works.
or If I unlock the phone with side button and then re-lock the phone with side button I have the slides working
IF my phone is UNLOCKED:I can see the gray buttons, but touchscreen doesn't work (If I press it doesn't do anything)

I'm in a forum (in italian) and I read many people got my same problem, not fixed after hard or soft reset (I cannot hard reset for loosing the prog hellox2, not working in new v40 firmware)
I've just installed Ovi maps 3.01 on my N95 device, and downloaded maps for my country. But when I turn on the maps application, all the roads are placed in total wrong places. Some leads over water and through forests, and nothing seem to be right. I get my location on the right spot of the map, but the roads are chaotic.Any clues what could be wrong? I've already tried to reinstall the map file.

Everytime I get in the car and want to use bluetooth I have to register the 6760 phone and basically start from scratch. I thought it may have been the technology in the car kit, but friend just tried their brand new blackberry and it connects and works fine all the time. The car kit is built into the car stereo so is relatively new.

At this moment I have version 03.38 installed on my telephone. Why I try to update my telephone software to this new version using Ovi Suite I get an error message saying that the update failed probably because I have non-commercial software on my telephone, but it is a new device and I haven't installed any software on it.
