I'm a noob so please bear with me. I am a Boost mobile customer. I have the Motorola i465. I really like the phone but the java seems to be outdated. I can't log on to Facebook or yahoo. And as my email is with yahoo I'm without email. I can't get a real person to talk to me from Boost. Am I just out of luck? How can I fix this?
View 1 RepliesOkay, I send a friend of mine some pictures I took with my unlocked Omnia i910 and they tried to set them as wallpaper on their i465 Boost mobile phone, but when they press the menu button there is no option to set as wallpaper like with the pictures that were taken with their phones camera.I didn't know if there is a hack or unlocking method to undo this restriction that Boost put on their phones, I will be the one doing this, so that is why I am posting and not them.
I have unlocked and modded several phone before, did a google search on the i465 and only found pay sites, which is not what I want since I did pay one site 9.99 for the unlock code in the past and their code screwed up my phone.
Everytime i try to access the openwave browser, it says security error, key not recognized. how can i fix this? Boost tech support was no help. i have no problem browsing with bolt or opera just the built in openwave browser.

I went to the yahoo web address, then it prompted to sign in to my Google account and it never connects to Google servers and tells me "there is no network connection" but I am connected to the wireless server...I verified it on my phone and obvious surfed the internet. What gives? Any suggestion?

I am using Curve 9300.
Yahoo Messenger has been installed and use for long time in my 9300. Somehow, in past 2 weeks, I could not login to Yahoo, Yahoo Mail or Yahoo Messenger.
Everytime lgoin to yahoo web, mail or messenger always giving me Username and password is invalid. But for Pop-up mail with Yahoo still working and fine
Several trial has been done in the device, like:
- Re-install Yahoo Messenger
- Uncheck item"Remeber my ID..."
- Trial with several account
With PC Login:
- Through yahoo website account and delete all web related connection
- Login with PC desktop with all the account not any issue and can login perfectly
Of course, regular ceremony by reset, remove battery has been doing as well
I noticed that I had not been receiving my yahoo mail lately and went to accounts and it showed under my Motoblur accounts. After not being able to get it to work I deleted the account to try and reinstall it. When I go to Add Account and select the Yahoo Mail icon under Motoblur accts then put in the email address and password I get an error msg "Login to the account failed, please try again." I have checked and rechecked that all of the info is correct and it is.

I am not sure how to trouble shoot this problem, the yahoo notification is checked off but doesn't seem to fix much. Anyone using the yahoo mail app have this problem? The only issue I have now is a new one - I cannot add my Yahoo! Mail account back onto my phone. I am able to log into it via the web on both my phone and PC. I can login using the Yahoo! Mail App (which i really don't like). But I cannot add it using the "Accounts" options built into the phone.People have said that maybe it's Yahoo! thinking the account was hacked... so I've changed my password twice. I've done battery pulls before trying to re-add the account. I've tried everything I can think of short of doing either another factory reset or having verizon provide me with another new phone (actually they are sending me certified-preowned after they took my brand new Droid Pro and I later found out that wasn't necessary and I've had more issues with this phone than my original)

View 4 Replies View RelatedHaving trouble connecting to my sbcglobal (managed by yahoo) email account all of a sudden.As of a few days ago, my new emails have not been appearing in my inbox even after refreshing. So I went into "my accounts" and into yahoo mail icon and deleted/reentered my password so I could connect. I kept getting error message "login to the account failed, please try again". So I then decided to completely remove the account under "my accounts" menu icon so that I can readd it. I then tried to readd it in two areas:
1. Under "email" menu icon I tried to re-setup the "yahoo mail" account- no luck, still received error message
2. Under "email" menu icon I tied to re-setup the "yahoo" account, chose already have a yahoo account, click sign in, enter my email address and password, check the "mail" and "sync" options, and then done. Nothing happens. So I go into the main menu option "my accounts"- I see my sbc account listed with the word sync under it. I go into it and it says it has been synced.Nothing has been updated. Prior to all this when I clicked the main menu "email" icon- my sbc/yahoo acct inbox pulled up automatically. Now when I click the "email" icon - I am prompted to setup an account from the services listed below: corporate sync, facebook, twitter, yahoo mail, yahoo, etc. I had my yahoo/sbc mail as my default account which is why when I previously clicked the "email" icon- my sbc/yahoo account inbox pulled up.I do not want to set up the yahoo droid application- I really want tp synch the account directly.How do I adjust the incoming/outgoing server settings on this phone. I see in other forums for similar issues that they can be adjusted. but where?
I have the droid razr maxx and I used the stock razr account setup to setup my yahoo email. I guess my question would be is there a problem with yahoo servers or is motorola and yahoo just not playing nice? I keep getting emails in triplicate and Im not sure what causes it. Some days it will work just fine and I'll get my email correctly and other times I wake up with like 30 emails but there will be just repeat messages in triplicate.

I have a yahoo account and I have it loaded into my messaging app. Over the year that I've had this phone my yahoo occasionally has become deathly silent. Of coarse the android is not updating or even connecting to my account. This happened on average every couple of months. I've done a few things to try to get it back including deleting and reloading the account, updating the android os, messing with email settings. It usually eventually comes back on its own...within a couple of days. Its now getting to the point where I lose connectivity every week or two and its gone for that much time. This is really annoying and I don't keep on top of my emails nearly as effectively. I need to fix this. I'm not seeing alot of posts with the same issue though.

Now it keeps pulling up some emails. but not all. Also, non of the archive folders are there.We both have a gmail acct. too and those are updating fine.

When I click on FOLDERS, it doesn't show the few additonal Folders that exist in my YAHOO account online. The only ones displayable are: Inbox, Trash, Outbox, and Sent. These appear to be only Folders ON my phone -- not what exists in my online YAHOO account.. On my previous phone, there use to be a way to display those other folders ..
Maybe it's time to look at another email APP ..
I have noticed that at the bottom of my Yahoo Mail account (which I use as my main email account), I have accumulated many blank messages from Dec 31st, 1969. At first I thought they were messages that I had deleted in Messaging. However, I have been watching the emails over the last couple of days, checking my online Yahoo interface when I would have unread messages show up in Messaging.

Ive downloaded apps like readers and a different yahoo app but no luck - still unable to download those attachments. I havnt found any know issues or anything to support what im saying so maybe Im the only one.
