Motorola Motoactv :: Can Not Copy Files To Music Folder
Mar 24, 2012I am trying to copy mp3 files to the music folder. I have the motoact connected to USB port and I am just dragging the files to the folder. It seems that the folder is read only? I uncheck the read only under folder properties but it remains.

May 14, 2012I saw a post on this via google but is there a fix to the issue? I saw a drag and drop fix that I attempted but it dod not work, not sure if its because i tried a "replace" rather than delete and re-drag.
The Sync feature via itunes is great this suddenly started happening with some files.
Motorola Motoactv :: ITunes Sync Using USB Cord - Zero Files Transferred
Mar 21, 2012I am trying to sync itunes with the Motoactv using the USB cord. As of right now I can see all of the prepopulated itunes playlists in MotoCast (ie 90s music, recently added) but none of the playlists I have created myself nor does it display the full population of music I currently have in itunes (306 in MotoCast versus 910 in itunes). When I go to sync it says the sync was successful but that 0 files were transferred. Is there a setting that needs to be changed or a different want to get this to sync. I am currently running Window XP, MotoCast Version 1.7.0151.0, and ITunes Version 10.5.3.3.

Apr 20, 2012My MOTOACTV has been acting funky lately. It's done a couple of weird things (including appearing to "brick" last night before dying), but the most frustrating is that audio files that used to be playable on it are now listed by the device as unplayable.I specifically converted protected audio files in iTunes to unprotected MPEG files (using TuneClone) and made sure to use just these files when creating the playlists for my MOTOACTV. For several weeks (I've had the product for a little over 2 months), all was well. The songs played just fine, the playlists worked as expected, etc... Lately, though, not so much.
The songs in question are still listed in my "Songs" list as well as under their respective playlists, but rather than being black text, they are a medium gray. When tapping on these songs (and it appears to be about 30% of the songs), I get the following message:Unplayable FileThis file appears to be an unsupported type and cannot be played.I was wondering whether the file(s) might have been corrupted somehow, so I completely unsynced all of my playlists, (theorhetically) deleting all music from the device. MotoCast USB reported all files being removed from the device. Then, I resynced all files, but the problem remains.Then, I thought that perhaps the ORIGINAL files were corrupted, so I tested the files on the device through Finder, and found that they played just fine in iTunes.
Another issue that is perplexing me is the fact that I have FAR more songs listed in my "Songs" list than should be present on the device. Currently, I've synced just 2 playlists, with a total of 46 songs, though there is a good bit of crossover, so I should have something like 30 songs on my device. I have many, many more than this liste

If i send an image to a contact who still have an old model (es BB 8300) with the old software, on my phone is displayed "file sent" straight, without any wait. Instead if i send an image to someone who has a new software, i have to choose the size of the image, and wait for his acceptance. And i also saw that if a contact doesn't accept the file immediately, after some time (really i cannot say how many time), there is a kind of time out of the sending (displayed on his phone)...how is it possible (on my phone was always displayed "waiting for acceptance")? How can i cancel this option?
2: with the old software if someone didn't read a message, a clock appeared on the face of the contact, and then i usually set the advice, to know when he read the message thanks to the sound. With the new software instead, i saw you can just set the advice only if the contact is Unavailable.

Aug 7, 2012I've owned the MotoActv for two month, I got the mysterious "moisture issues" that everyone seems to be getting even though I've never used it in the rain. But the thing that is driving me nuts is the music. When I hit random shuffle of all my songs, I hear songs I don't want to hear... song that I do not own on my computer. Where are these songs coming from? Today I heard "Boot Scoot Boogie!" I abhore country music as does my wife. Doing a computer wide search shows no evidence that the song exists on my computer. Yet there it is playing in mile four. Other mystery songs have showed up too. The performance music playlist seems to be filled with songs I never heard of, yet evidently I perform well to them.

Jun 13, 2012I'm basically looking for an app(s) that can do what iBooks did on the iPhone..I want it to open PDF files, save them all in there, click on them and print. It was very simple to do on the iPhone and all within a standard iPhone app but I'm really struggling with the Android.
So basically:
1. Need to be able to save/store, file and delete PDFs. I've tried OneDrive & Google Drive...not a fan of either. And I don't need or really want to have them stored on a cloud either. If I need to, I can save them to Dropbox like I did with the iPhone.
2. Print the PDF files. I have tried the Canon print app, PrintShare & Cloud Print....nothing works properly.

Dec 12, 2011I have my Atrix 4g with AT&T. I'm having a problem with text messaging. I'm not for certain (hadn't noticed), but I think my phone was not originally doing this and it started about a week after I got it.What happens is that all images I receive in MMS text messages, appear to be the same image. Say I received a picture of a dog from one contact. All future images received, from all contacts, appear as the exact same picture of the dog. However, if I hold my finger down on the image and select "view picture", the picture will display correctly. If I save it to my gallery, etc, it appears correctly. But it continues to display incorrectly in the text messaging conversation itself.I tried rebooting my phone, and all this did was update the "universal" image to the most recent image I received. All images were still displaying the same thing. I've also tried Googling this problem and haven't found anything about it so far.

When you try this there is a crop frame that shows up to allow you to crop the picture but the resultant image doesn't fit the screen like it should. The crop frame is bigger than the xoom display.
