I know this a kinda old phone, but I just had something pop up on the screen and have no clue what it is. It says "My network: invalid battery". I have 4 bars, the battery is fully charged and the phone seems to work fine.
View 1 RepliesBoth my wife and I have Defy's owned for 4 months and upgraded to Froyo 2.2 some weeks ago.both working normally.Then yesterday my phone, for no obvious reason, came up with the message "Invalid Battery.Your device battery is invalid and cannot be charged. Replace the battery with an origional motorola battery." Also the battery symbol at top right of display is black, not green, and has a? mark in it. I have checked my battery, which came with the phone, and it is official Motorola with hologram. So is my wifes.I tried swapping the batteries and while my battery works perfectly in her phone, her battery in my phone gives the same errors.I then tried a master reset....Twice! Both successful, wiping all my data, and requiring me to set up the phone again, but problem still remains.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI bought my Motorola RAZR here in Dubai, Middle East, and it's working just fine except for one issue that occurs on a daily basis;The phone suddenly loses signal and shows "invalid SIM card"! It lasts for a maximum duration of ONE minute and then the signal is back and the phone behaves normally.I thought it only happens when I'm in low 3g coverage areas but it happened to me twice today!I had the same SIM card on my iPhone 4 and my Motorola ATRIX and never faced a similar issue...

Invalid Battery.Your device battery is invalid and cannot be charged.Replace the battery with an original Motorola battery."I have the original Motorola Atrix battery that it came with originally. Problem occured out of nowhere. I cleared data/cache, rebooted phone, flashed different roms, took out battery then put it back in, used RSD Lite to flash back to stock 4.1.83 Atrix via sbf file but nothing worked.

I was sent to the email settings page and asked to enter my password. Did that...still get the same message. I found a thread in this forum (since have been unable to relocate it) where someone suggested disabling a need for two step authentication in google and another said to do a factory reset. how to do either of those two things.

I have looked at this description HERE, but what I am seeing is not on this list.This morning my Verizon service went out - it appears to be an area-wide thing because other people on Verizon have no cell service either (yes, I paid my bill!). Now I have a grayed out triangle where the bars normally are with a little blue triangle flashing above it. It may mean roaming, however it doesn't look like what the page shows for roaming, which is a blue R above the network bars.So, is this information in the phone or only in the manual? and, does anyone have a clue as to what that icon means? I would take a screenshot but as I was typing this it went back to the red circle with a slash through it, indicating no service. I keep getting a message that tells me there is no CDMA service located, do I want to connect Global?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI love that Motorola has built in unread counts to certain icons (email, text message, hone, calendar, etc.) but I noticed that there isn't an unread count for the gmail icon.Was this done on purpose? Or am I missing a settings option where I can turn this on?Also, I don't know if the calendar app on Moto phones did this before, but it's a nice touch that the icon changes with the current date.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy wife and I both have the Razr Maxx. On day one, we attached our Google Voice accounts to our new Verizon accounts. A couple of days ago, a Verizon voicemail notification showed up on my wife's phone, my phone is working fine.
When I click on the notfication icon, it dials *86 and I just get the voicemail greeting from Voice and it allow me to leave a voicemail, which is very strange. The icon "New Voicemail(1)" will not go away. There is no delete option. I tried hitting 7 in call to delete the message. I even tried to force close the app and clear cache. I have searched Google and several phone forums. I even unregistered her Voice and registered it again.
Every time I connect to Wifi, the 4G icon doesn't disappear... I can't tell if 4G is still connected. I can't be using cell data while on Wifi because I have the limited plan on Verizon. The only way I could get it to disappear was to go into Wifi settings and disable mobile data. How do I get it to not use 4G or make the icon disappear when I'm connected to Wifi?

View 13 Replies View RelatedI dont know if this has been reported but after searching the forums i didnt see anything this specific so i figured to ask. My apologies if it is there already.Having the issue that has basically kept me from using smart actions, i had smart actions setup to disable background data when the screen is off, not charging and no movement is detected. The problem is when i turn on back the screen and begin to use the device the 4g icon stays white the whole time, and the data connection does not kick in at all. I usually end up having to put the device to sleep or airplane mode or rebooting all together to restore the data connection

View 6 Replies View RelatedNoticed lately that when I enable my Wifi connection that the 3G icon will stay active at the same time as the Wifi icon (I live in Northern New Jersey, no 4G for me). In this state, the Wifi icon is blue and the 3G icon is white. Usually when you activate wifi and it is done connecting the 3G icon goes away completely. Was thinking maybe one of my installed apps hosed this up. Tried running the phone in safe mode to see if it would change anything, but the condition persisted. Not a big deal, wifi works fine.......it's more of a problem with the owner (me) who can't seem to let things like this go

It was the shape of an old style telephone handset, the kind you'd find on a pay phone (for those of you who know what that is/was). I'd like to find one like that again and replace the tiny contact face pic with the various symbols and shading covering it of the native direct dial icon.

View 14 Replies View RelatedSo I was on a road trip today and when I plugged in the phone in the car dock I had full battery. Then I turned on navigation and slacker radio. About an hour travel the battery started to charge according to the battery icon. My question is, why did the battery discharge while on external power? Does the factory charger not have enough capacity to charge the phone while being used? If so something is wrong with the whole designe of the charging system.
