i just got the q9h global 2 months ago. one day i was running errands and the phone felt really hot, when i got home it was dead. i tried charging it but the phone wouldnt turn on at all. i replaced the battery and the charger. it still wouldnt turn on.AND THERE IS AN X SCREEN SHOWING UP . it remains on the charging battery screen and it wont switch on, even after its been charging for days.

View 1 Replies View RelatedLast night my new DROID 4 ran out of battery life and powered down. No biggie, I thought. I plugged it in to my computer via the USB charger and let it sit overnight. Well this morning, I see it light up and I went to look at it, and it was the startup splash screen.But I was to be disappointed, as after the splash screen ran, it shut back off and gave me the little green "Fully Charged" LED on the front of my DROID. So I pulled the plug out and attempted to start her up. But no luck. After "Soft Resets" and plugging back in, trying the wall charger and USB both, I cannot get the damn thing to turn back on at all. And since the battery is not removable on this device?

When the screen is blank, it is blue, when i activate the screen it goes green.When I powered it down... the blue light stayed on. Even with the phone off.I pulled the battery and restarted, the light comes right back on.I even did a facotry reset, and the light came right back on.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi just purchased a motonav tn765 today. i plugged it in to charge and it seems to indicate that it is charging (the power led turns yellow). after 2 hours of charging (yellow light) i removed the cord and the led turned red. activating the power switch does nothing. reseting the unit does nothing. i purchased this device at a local walmart as a clearance item. they don't have any more in stock and usually clearance items are not returnable. i called support and their only suggestion was to return it to the store. does anyone here have any ideas of how to get this device to turn on?

Have tried the power button with volume up several times (and for way longer than 3 seconds) and am still not getting any sign of life.Last night before I put it into standby I was browsing the net over wifi. I have an unlocked motorola milestile that I just bought about 2 weeks ago and had it unlocked for bell. Anyways, recently bell called me saying that I owe them about $250 for tethering my phone, I apparently used about 15mb by tethering. I got pissed and told them I never did that and they said the best they could do is reduce the bill to $100, I took what I could get.
After talking with them, I realized that I always connected my phone to my computer in order to recharge it during the night (it's more convenient and safer then using the wall jack, the wall jacks are in places people can step on my phone). I figured I must have been accidentally tethering with it.Anyways, I still wanna use my computer to recharge the phone when it needs recharging. So how do I disable the tethering to make sure this doesn't happen again? Also, is there a good way for me to confirm that tethering is disabled?
We are thinking of buying a Motorola Backflip. But we want to turn off motoblur because we don't want to waste our precious download limit on constant social networking updates. So tried plugging into wall outlet and the green light will flicker a few times but will not charge. If i pull the plug out just a slight bit i can keep the green light but phone still does not charge. I have had previous problems of phone randomly discharging with 30 percent battery left. glitch? but the fact that the phone will not even power to charging screen indicates somethign must be wrong. I tried a friends charger of the same phone without any luck. Battery has not indicated any signs of wearing out. It would last as long as the first day i bought the thing. It "sees" that the cable is plugged in because it lights up the screen, but it seems like the charging / usb port is dead for some reason. The battery is now totally dead and I have it plugged in, and all I get is a green light in the upper right hand corner, no display on the screen. I took out the battery and reseated it, no joy there.

I left it on the charger to see if that would help. Now it rarely turns on and if it does it will spontaneously freeze and shut down. Sometimes it will turn on and freeze on the M screen. I haven't downloaded any new apps and have taken the battery out numerous times. I just got the phone a few weeks ago from my insurance. It's running on 2.2.3.

I can see that everything else works, by using reflective light I can see enough to do some simple actions, like changing brightness settings, and accept the shutdown dialog.I have tried anything that I can think off; turning on and off automatic brightness, cold reset, and shutting down and restart.
There doesn't seem to be a hardware error. I managed to get it to work again for a while yesterday, but I haven't been able to repeat that today.

View 9 Replies View RelatedLast night as I was driving home my phone cut itself off. The battery was very low and as a safety feature I assume, it cut itself off. When I got home I put the phone on my tv stand and put it on charge through a wall charger and let it charge overnight.I got up this morning and noticed my DVR was turned on. I picked up the remote and pressed the power button to cut it off. I instantly noticed my phone have to boot logo and then go off. I went over to unhook it from the charger. Now the phone wont boot.I have a Droid 4. You can't remove the battery. I have tried everything that I know to try to get it to boot or even turn on. I have tired 2 different types of wall chargers, my wife's car charger, a usb cable, and nothing makes a difference. I have also tried to hold the volume down and the power button at the same time. I don't know if my battery is shot but maybe it had something to do with my DVR remote. I upgraded to the Dish Network Hopper Service. I normally charge my phone at the same place every night.

After charging it for a while, it turned on, and I had no problems. I worked out (walks/jogs) about an hour a day for the past week (no rain, only minimal sweating) and didn't have any problems with it.
