Motorola Motoactv :: Will Not Recognize Any Of The 3 Wifi Networks
Jan 9, 2012
I'm having problems with MOTOCAST in Windows XP. It will not recognize any of the 3 wi-fi networks in my home when I search for networks. The computer sees all 3 of them just fine and can connect to any of them. MOTOCAST and my MOTOACTV device work just fine on my work computer (running Windows 7). I can upload to MOTOACTV just fine at work and can see the work wi-fi network. Problem is only on the home networks. Unfortunately, getting on the network at home is most important because that is where I workout. Additionally, I can't sync my workouts to the MOTOACTV website at all from home, not wirelessly and not via USB. MOTOCAST permits me to see the music files on my computer and sync with them but will not sync to MOTOACTV via the web. Not a problem on my work computer.
When try to download my wifi to my motoactv I keep getting the following message: The scam for wifi networks library failed.Check to see that the access point is on and that it is configured with WPA, WEP or no encryption.
I have an N8 Asha and a 303, I use JoikuSpot to share internet with my laptop Asha put the 303 does not recognize this kind of wifi! Esso is a bug? Is it fixed? What can I do?
Is there any way to change the preferred order of WiFi networks? My office has two WiFi networks, one for my office and one for the conference room down the hall. When I added the network for the conference room I found that when I'm in the office the phone keeps connecting to it, even though the signal is much weaker than the office network. I ended up just removing it from the list, however, when I'm in the conference room I have to re-add it, which is a pain because there's a long password. On my Windows laptop it's easy to just change the order and it will connect to the one closest to the top of the list, but I can't find anything like that on my Photon. It seems like it would be something pretty simple that would have been built-in.
I just picked up a Turbo after retiring my Razr M. No matter how many times I did a factory reset on the Razr M, every Wi-Fi that I've ever connected to would reamain listed in the "Manage Networks" tab (including the saved passwords). Thought I read somewhere that Google saves all this information under your gmail account.
On Froyo Wireless works fine 100% of the time, on Gingerbread it randomly drops internet, locks data/internet until wifi is disabled, loses all awareness of networks around it, etc..I have tried resetting my whole network system, changed all security settings, WPA, WPA2, nothing works. Here are some photos of the phone doing it. Want to add that the router is on the other side of the wall, not 5 feet from me. Works 100% in Froyo, but the pictures show what happens in Gingerbread. Yes Wi-Fi never sleep is on, and even if it wasnt it should auto connect when it becomes active again, which it doesnt. the pictures show, you can see wi-fi is on but for some reason dropped connection and no longer detects any wireless networks at all, when there are easily 5-8 around me at all times. All i did was disable then reenable wifi and it detected all networks and connected again though it will not be long until it happens again.
So before this last update I think my wifi was always on. When I got back from a run by the time I could get to my laptop the data was already synced. After this update it seems the wifi is off and when I click on wifi settings it says "enabling wifi". How do I turn this off or on so either it always connect to my wifi when in range or stays off until i tell it?
You can now add a Wi-Fi network to your MOTOACTV using your Motorola Android smartphone with free MOTOACTV app. It's clear in the .78 update that a new wifi network can be added to the MOTOACTV using the MOTOACTV app. But, how? I'm not seeing any way to do it.
Everytime I attempted to add my wi-fi network the program crashes and has to restart. The devices that the most recent update. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program. I have also retarted for the computer and device. why the Motoactv program keeps not responding when I attempted to add a network?
I always switch off wifi on all my devices when I don't need to use it, because it's a serious battery drainer, but I can't find an option anywhere on the motoactv that allows me to switch it off! Am I just being really stupid and not looking properly?s all devices allow you the option to switch things like this off or on
My wifi network requires that I enter a user name and password. Is it possible to connect to a network with user name? Can I just change my profile name on the device to be my user name.
Wondering if Motorola would consider partnering with Withings so the Scale and the Watch's info are synced?Right now the Scale works on several services like LoseIt and Endomondo. Instead of inputting my weight every time I would like to just weigh myself and have it automatically populate to the MotoActv site.[URL]
I have not been able to connect to my router and keep getting the error incorrect password or other error.I have tried power cycling my router, removing the password, changing the password to something simpler and motoactv stlil cannot connect.I am 100% sure the password is correct and all my other devices can connect to the router fine as well.
As of today, my month-old Motoactv will no longer sync my fitness data either through a direct USB connection or Wi-Fi network. I've synced many times over the past four weeks both ways without any trouble, but after today's run, I tried to sync and nothing happens. Motocast USB will start up when I connect to my PC, it will attempt to sync, then returns with this message:
Total Transferred files size = 0.0 B Fitness data sync failed.
Start sync with "MOTOACTV" at 2012-02-26 16:28:28 Syncing Fitness data with the MOTOACTV.com Fitness data sync failed.

When I attempt to sync via Wi-Fi, I get the error: "Network Error. Internet Connection unavailable". Everything was working until today. Now, neither options work.
I've restarted the phone and reset network settings several times. Airport mode is off. This occurs in multiple WiFi hotspots that are recognized by other iPhones purchased at the same time. Apple wants to be paid to help (phone is 7 months old).
Hi, I have nokia 5800 Xpressmusic and I have problem with my wifi. I recently bought it and I cant get wifi networks on the same place that I got 5 networks with my old phone nokia e51. At home I could get 5 networks in my building and now with my nokia 5800 I can't get any of this. It says network not found, my neighbor have a wifi router and with my nokia e51 I had 100% signal now i have (some times) only 20% on the samo place that I had 100%. Can anybody tell me what is the problem???
This problem came 2 days before. when my frdnz phone detected 5 wifi networks and mine 0. i first did Settings reset it dint help then i did Factory reset it dint help. then i updated my neo V to ICS and still it is not working.
I'm trying to get to the bottom of my high Android System usage (currently 60%), and noticed that if I go into settings>wifi, I can see that my phone is searching for wifi networks every 10 seconds (it shows up in the gray bar near the top that says "WI-FI NETWORKS"). If I go to menu>advanced wifi I have everything un-checked, including "allow Wi-Fi scanning." I would think this would prevent the phone's wifi from constantly searching, but apparently not.
How do you see available WiFi networks in the task bar when you pull it down from the top of the screen. As soon as you hit the WiFi button, it turns out the correction..
I have got a new S5 (coming from LG G2) and I'm experiencing a problem I've never seen before.
Earlier changes of phones has given me the opportunity to access wifi networks (SSID) I've used before. Now I have to add (connect and reenter key) all networks all over again.
Is there a fix that can bring back my "old" networks?
I hgave reset network, reset phone, hard soft shut down, plugged it into the router-time capsule, and nothing. It just keeps on spinning around and around. I do not have a VPN network, but I tried that, and still nothing. My office is where I have wifi-plus their are 10 other wifi's in the building it used to pick up, now nothing. Even at home nothing. Just spinning and spinning. It is 2 weeks old. I bought it in Canada, and am now in Africa. I purchased it factory unlocked, and it is running the 5.1.1 software. I don't want to take my phone to the apple resellers, as I bought it at an actual Apple store, and I don't trust the guy here in Tanzania. Is their anything that I have missed that I could possibly do? If you say fixed or static IP, I have no idea how to do that so if you could explain where that said IP is so I could utilize it, and how do I input it to my phone. I'm thinking that is my last hope. Other than that the chip or antenna are fried somehow-even though it is brand new, and has had a case on it the whole time.
I have an iPhone 4 and it has been using from 10MB to 100MB of my data plan while I'm on a WiFi network. This usually happens at night or when my iPhone is on standby and is killing my 200MB plan.I am almost always on a WiFi network and the most data usage seems to be around 12AM - 6AM. I have just picked up on this when I was out of state and needed to have my 3G on to get good reception (data roaming was off). Before then I usually never had my cellular network on and never had much of a problem. Now i have come home to an AT&T M-Cell. I cannot connect to the M-Cell unless I'm on 3G.
I have read many forums that all say that you need to turn off your data while I'm on a WiFi network. However this is just a work around and not a solution to what is actually using so much data. Has anyone found a better solution or has found an app that will keep a log of what is taking up so much of my data plan?
My wifi is on and when it tries to find a wifi connection, the gray little circle just keeps spinning and will not detect our home wifi. I have tried to search for it and connect to it manually, but it will not search for the network name.
When I use my phone on Wifi, it works fine for about 10-15 minsutes and then crashes the router that it connects to making the internet on the whole network go down. this happens at home, at other peoples homes, at work or even in public wifi areas like hotels or retail stores (yes I've tried it a few different places)I've tried calling my phone provider a long time ago and they were stumped at this issue but since the wifi technically works the stores refused to do anything on a warranty basis while it was still active. It's not like wifi is a must for me, the internet speed on the torch is still quite slow and I have tons of data on my plan that I don't use but I wouldn't mind getting it fixed so that I can actually turn on my wifi antenna without worrying about crashing everyone's networks.
I want to surf the web on my X10i using my company's Wi-Fi.I was able to connect to the netowork fine, but I could not enter the Proxy settings to allow me through. Any ideas how to do this? and please don't tell me it is not available because I might as well reutrn this phone because I just bought it few days ago.
