Motorola Motoactv :: Tell If I Have A 16GB Or 8GB?

View 5 RepliesJust installed newest Motocast software. When I check for device update it says I have the newest version. It seems according to the website that I don't have the newest vesion. It says There is no update available for your device. Current version Blu r_version.4.54.50.Motorla-F100.Retail.en.US. How do I update the device if it says none are available.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy motoactv just showed up in the mail today. In addition to the fact that the included micro USB cable appears to not work consistently (it's connecting fine now that I'm using a different one), my computer AND motocast both show the device as having 6.7GB of memory.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just plugged in and setup my 16GB Motoactv on my Mac with current version "Blur_Version.4.54.50.Motorola-F100.retail.en.US", and the pop-up says "There is no update available for your device".
But the website says new version for the 16GB available: "Blur_Version.4.56.76.Motorola-F100.Retail.en.US"
Is there something I can do - or was the update actually pulled?
I just got a 16gb unit, got it installed to my pc, but having the following problems
2. The unit is currently with 4.54.61, according to the forum there is an update that was released in early Jan. When I try to update using the update feature in the motocast USB software I get a message that there is no available update and the unit has the latest firmware. how or where to get the update?
Got one today and it doesnt want to pair with my unit. A friend of mine has an 8 gig unit and the same HRM strap and its working fine.I ask because we all know that the 16Gb and the 8GB units are not really the same thing...(different firmware)

View 14 Replies View RelatedI've owned the MotoActv for two month, I got the mysterious "moisture issues" that everyone seems to be getting even though I've never used it in the rain. But the thing that is driving me nuts is the music. When I hit random shuffle of all my songs, I hear songs I don't want to hear... song that I do not own on my computer. Where are these songs coming from? Today I heard "Boot Scoot Boogie!" I abhore country music as does my wife. Doing a computer wide search shows no evidence that the song exists on my computer. Yet there it is playing in mile four. Other mystery songs have showed up too. The performance music playlist seems to be filled with songs I never heard of, yet evidently I perform well to them.

I can sign into mymotocast.com just fine, but cannot sign into motoactv.com. It gives me the message "Invalid credentials. Please try again."

View 1 Replies View RelatedIm not one who feels they need to put their entire music/iTunes collection on their phone. I will probably have no more than 1GB worth of music at any one time. If Im feeling conflicted maybe another 1GB but doubtful. As far as videos I wont have more than a few on there. Maybe another 1GB or 2. As far as apps, I highly doubt I would ever get more than 100 apps at once and from what I understand, outside of GPS apps, they are all pretty much 10MB or less. So at a 100 apps maybe another 1GB there. Lets say I buy a GPS app that takes up 2GB. So Ive got 1GB in music, 1GB of videos, 1GB of Apps and a 2GB GPS app. Ive used 5GB and I would have somewhere between 10GB and 11GB left.
Now lets talk about photos. I wont really load anything more than some wallpapers but when I start taking photos (and videos) I wont let them pile up for too long without moving them to my MacBook. So if I have several hundred photos on the iPhone at any one time, lets say 1GB to 2GB used.
Would I be fine in this scenario? Or should I go for 32GB? So I may get down to 8GB free, maybe less if I let stuff build up more. Would you find this acceptable for your use?

Perhaps it's a problem with my unit, but if I wear the MA as a watch, no Bluetooth, no music etc. I have it timed out at 15 secs (makes a boring watch) and the brightness guite low... it never lasts the whole day before I have to recharge it. Seems a bit pointless having a "watch" that runs out of power before the day is through.If you use the MA simply as a watch (ignoring the silly steps counter which can't be turned off!) how long do you get?

View 11 Replies View RelatedThe unit worked normally for my workout yesterday. This morning I tried to turn it on for my workout, and nothing happens. I plugged it into the computer to see if I had inadvertently killed the battery. The white charging light comes on, but the display doesn't show the battery percentage graphic, and nothing happens when I push the power button. The Motorola charger is at home, so I can't try that until after work.

I've tried 2 different pc's and get the same thing on both..
my device is 3 weks old ; working fine until today
running with gps and it just stops and restarts a new run or randomly exits the run; this happens multiple times so I have useles tracking of the run wrist band; never wet or humid or heavily perspired on; up to date firmware
After having a ton of syncing problems that never got resolved I now get "Please wait, syncronization in progress..." screen for a long period of time. It will eventually time out.
I have tried uninstall, reinstall, and even a factory reset erasing everything. Nothing works. I have had this issue with the last couple versions of the MOTOACTV app but I am currently on 2.0.52. I emailed support a logcat a while back but never heard anything from it. I love the MOTOACTV, but without the app.
Oh and I am using a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus with Android 4.0.4.
So before this last update I think my wifi was always on. When I got back from a run by the time I could get to my laptop the data was already synced. After this update it seems the wifi is off and when I click on wifi settings it says "enabling wifi". How do I turn this off or on so either it always connect to my wifi when in range or stays off until i tell it?
