Nov 26, 2012My motoactv watch face has developed a dark spot at approximately 11:00 on the face itself. It started out as a long, dark line across the top, and then morphed into a dark spot.

Apr 11, 2015So I've had my T-Mobile Galaxy S6 for 9 days and I noticed a dark shadow or spot on the right side of the screen. I thought it was the lens or the plastic film covering the lens. I was wrong and it appears the issue is with the sensor itself. T-Mobile is sending me another unit.
This is an expensive piece of tech. So make sure you check everything the first days you own it to ensure you are not stuck with a defected one.
BB Curve :: 8520 Dark Spot On Screen / Visible On White Background
Aug 15, 2010I recently bought BlackBerry Curve 8520, and today I noticed a dark spot on its screen it is only visible on white background, and the text reads just fine. The intensity of the spot changes it depends at which angle I am reading the text, etc. (well, this is rather obvious, I guess). I tried to reboot the device by removing the battery, it didn't help.

Jun 4, 2012When going to a baseball game my phone loses it's signal, however, the Diamondbacks offer AT&T hotspots throughout the building. I have AT&T service so you would think this is a no brainer, my son who has Sprint gets on with no problem, my husband with Verizon has no problem, (both have Android phones), my daughter with A&T service and an iPhone has no problems, however when I go on, it searches for awhile and then I get the following error message and it shuts off my wifi
AT&T Wi-FI Hot Spot Status Unable to confirm eligibility, please call Customer ---and then it fades away, if you click on the error message it completely disappears and there is no phone number to call. This is my second phone because of this issue and it isn't fixed. I would like to be able to use my phone to use MLB at the Ballpark but it's like taking a brick to the ballpark.
Motorola Droid :: Touchscreen Seems To Have A Dead Spot?
Jul 31, 2011I've just started getting a problem where a certain area of the touchscreen doesn't register the input. For instance, I cannot get the letter "d". As I move my finger very slightly I will get either "s" or "f", but not "d" inbetween. However if I hold down and slide across, the d will register, at least sometimes. Surprisingly I have problems with the same letter in either portrait or landscape mode, which is a different place on the keyboard.

Jan 14, 2012When using the Droid Razr as a hot spot for my Zoom I cannot access Yahoo.com and a few other sites. When connecting using a conventional wireless hot spot there is no problems. Also tested using an HTC 4gLTE and there was no problems. The issue is specific to the Verizon/Motorola Razr Hot Spot. There seem so be an MTU issue with many sites when only using a Droid Razr as a hot spot, The Razr connects directly to all the sites but the Hot Spot function will not allow certain sites. After repeated calls and Google Searches I found a tech that amited that Verizon / Motorola Droid Razr has an issue with accessing certain sites only in the Hot Spot App. They plan to correct in the next update hopefully in Feb 2012. They suggested the the fix is in Beta. Some of the sites that don't connect are Yahoo.com and Yahoo.mail Microsoft.com some Apple sites. There are more but I didn't have pen at the time.

Feb 29, 2012Sometimes I use headphones while in noisy locations in order to hear calls better, but I still have to hold the phone up to talk into it. I noticed that something kept beeping, and figured out that the screen does not blank when against my head as it does without the headphones in place.
Is there a way to change that behavior, or do I just need to retrain myself to hold the phone differently when using headphones?

Oct 4, 2011Since I got the phone the face detection has never worked, I thought this might just be a rpoblem with the software so wasnt really bothered however looking on various fourms I cant see that anyone else has had this problem. however when i try the update software says im as up to date as I can be however im only on version 2.2.2 whereas the update site clrealy says there is 2.4.24 availible.

Sep 15, 2011I have had a white spot on my screen that is about a 1/4" in diameter for a few weeks now. It is about an inch above the Z in the Verizon logo at the bottom of the screen. It only really shows up on white/light backgrounds such as webpages. I was living with it fine until a few days ago it appears that there is a huge amount of light bleed coming from the whole bottom of the screen now. It almost appears as if the LCD is separating from the screen and allowing light through.
If you take the battery cover off the phone and press on the battery where the spot is in the screen it causes a ripple/wave effect in the screeen, just like if you press on an LCD monitor. I assume that with use overtime the battery has heated/cooled and expanded into the LCD components of the phone, so when you press on it, it is probably directly touching the LCD components. I use my phones for music/movies/games and it is not uncommon for the back of the phone to get fairly warm under my usage.
I've had my phone about 11 months, I went by a VZW corporate store and they are sending me a refurb from what I gathered. But I'm guessing this is a battery/design issue and my new/refurb isn't going to make it much longer than 11 months or so.
This is kind of a question/fyi for people since a lot of DX users are probably nearing the 12 month mark of owning a DX.

Aug 7, 2012I've owned the MotoActv for two month, I got the mysterious "moisture issues" that everyone seems to be getting even though I've never used it in the rain. But the thing that is driving me nuts is the music. When I hit random shuffle of all my songs, I hear songs I don't want to hear... song that I do not own on my computer. Where are these songs coming from? Today I heard "Boot Scoot Boogie!" I abhore country music as does my wife. Doing a computer wide search shows no evidence that the song exists on my computer. Yet there it is playing in mile four. Other mystery songs have showed up too. The performance music playlist seems to be filled with songs I never heard of, yet evidently I perform well to them.

Sep 29, 2011The thing that drives me nuts about this phone is that you can not see the usb charging port in a dark room. On many ocassion i have had to plug in my charger in the dark and i find myself always fumbling around for minutes to find the port. The thing that makes it even more frustrating is that there is already a LED there! It just doesn't turn on unless the battery is dead and the phone is plugged in. Motorla calls it a "sign-of-life" LED. What a waste of resources because most people who keep their phones charged will never see this LED light-up. Why didn't you guys make it toggle on with a long push on the lock button? Then you could easily see the ports? This seems like the most usefull and obvious thing to do with this LED.
Also what happened to the camera application? My wifes X2 takes amazing pictures wheras the Droid 3s turn out afwul. Can I use the droid X2 app on my D3? Besides these two gripes this is an amazing phone and I am very happy with it.

Oct 2, 2011I 've downloaded PurpleVRS to my new Driod Bionic and it worked okay. I've tried to call VP (video phone for the deaf) to my friend. It's worked.Purple VRS is relay service for the deaf.Then next couple days, one of my hearing kids told to downloaded Tango Video app and it worked okay.So I can talk to my hearing kids using the Tango Video. BUT the problem is that I noticed when I tried Purple VRS calls, I can see vrs person but she or he can't see me at all. I noticed that my face camera is not shown on the Droid Bionic.
I've decided to remove the Tango Video app and tried again with PurpleVRS still same problem.Is there an option to tell Droid Bionic to settle the face video camera mode to turn on whenever using the Purple VRS?I've tried with PurpleVRS Support and they forward my problem to Mirial company ( appl software company).He doesn't know how long will they response. That's why I came here to see if you know where the video mode turn on/off.
Motorola Droid Razr :: Screen Is Very Contrasty (dark)
Nov 12, 2011Picked up my Razr at Costco yesterday, they didn't have a working demo unit to compare, but when I finally got it home and was playing around with it, I noticed that the screen is very dark. Its like the contrast ratio is set to 100%....whites are very bright and blacks are very black...making for very high contrasty images; many of the images get washed out.
...is this normal, I've read on other sites of issues of it being green, my has this too, but the contrast is so poor that I just want to give this thing back.

Sep 16, 2011My triumph seems to go into low power or "sleep"mode (Black screen) and can't be woken with the side power button. The battery life doesn't seems to be the issue because it will happen when the battery is at half charge or full charge. This seems to be occurring when it has not been used in awhile (~30 minutes). The only way to use my phone again is to remove battery and reinsert. Most of the time this occurs the red light is still on and blinking, but once there was no light at all with 3/4 batter life remaining. This is my second Triumph after having a bad ear speaker in the first one. Anyone else having this issue or have any suggestions on how to fix this. I've read the posts and I am curious if it has anything to do with WIFI being on since WIFI is on all the time when I am home.
