When re-adding my thumb, I always place my thumb the same way that I do when I unlock it. I have tried adding my thumb to 2 fingerprint slots. No dice. I have to place my thumb on the scanner like 3-5 times before it reads my thumb.

Mar 21, 2012I generally use the standard slide to unlock without a pattern or pin just to keep from accidentally dialing, etc. However, a few weeks ago my slide to unlock screen disappeared. Unfortunately, I do not remember whether or not this coincided with any updates or new installations of apps.
When I reboot the device, the slide to unlock screen will sometimes flicker on very briefly and then disappear. I also will occasionally see it when the phone has been idle for awhile and then I press the power button to turn the screen back on. I do not have and have never had any software on the phone that would change or replace the lock screen. I do not see an option in the security features for enable/disable slide to unlock - just the pattern or pin.

I prefer that the only screen lock on my phone is the slider, but suddenly this option has gone away. When I hit the lock button, I expect that my phone's screen will go off and in order to turn it back on, I need to hit the lock button again and slide to unlock it. I do not want to enter a pattern, a pin, or a password. In order to get the slide lock to consistently show up after hitting the lock button, I need to add a pattern, pin or password. The slide lock will show up, but I also have to enter the pattern, pin or password after unlocking with the slide lock if the security lock timer setting has elapsed.

Jan 3, 2013I just noticed today that my phone doesn't really seem to be closing completely. It looks like it's closed but I remember it almost snapping into the closed position so that it doesn't keep sliding open so easy.So, I flipped it over and noticed there's this peice of copper poking out right at the end of the slide groove at the bottom of the phone. It kind of looks like the end of a wire or something, almost like it's supposed to make a connetion to something else. And to me it seems out of place, like something got knocked loose or got unattached. But I don't want to mess with it too much. I poked it with a pencil and it does move a little but I can't seem to move it out of the track, so I'm leaving it alone. I haven't even had my phone 4 months.

Mar 29, 2010Im using an iPhone 3GS MC Model 3.1.2 jailbreaked & unlocked by blackra1n. Well, here's what happened. I installed androidlock 2.0.1 through the sinful iphone repo on cydia. Had fun with the lock for a while and now I just want the old default slide to unlock back, so I removed androidlock. After that slide to unlock won't come back, its "tap to unlock" instead. Its only in the lock screen, calls and slide to power off are there. Tried rebooting the phone, reinstalling then removing androidlock a couple of times, installed 2.0.2 androidlock and removed, still tap to unlock.
