Any way to fix the root glitch for the lack of sound on skype calls? Have been looking found a solution for a atrix and wondering if this would work on a flipout. I got the darn phone so that I could call home to the states cheaply.

I love my FlipOut, really, but I borrowed a Samsung ACE (android) from my daughter for the week-end, and I must say that it is by far superior as a phone.No dropped calls, no "emercency calls only", no unsent text messages, no buffer overrun while streaming radio from the net.It seem that the size matters, when reception is poor.

I bought a Motorola Flipout from Amazon and have an AT&T sim in it. I can connect to wifi and receive data but get no data connection away from home. The AT&T rep wasn't much help since I have prepaid plan. I can talk and text just fine but get no data connection away from wifi, I do have a data plan.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI am getting on quite well with Belle on my E6, really, and I replaced Anna in a deliberate move to move on...BUT. Coming from an E72 preceded by an E61i (both of which I still use) I have gripes.The lack of Bluetooth or Silent keypad shortcuts I could easily live with if the dropdown menu worked at _every_ swipe, but it doesn't.The longer Space bar has been commented here before. I've used a short spacebar for five years with no issues and I don't have smaller-than-average fingers or thumbs. I now have to use the Symbol key to get '&' and a comma.When I listen to Internet radio on my E72 (which also has a more sensitive 3G antenna than my E6 BTW) it does intelligent things like: not cutting off the sound until I have selected headphone/line ... When I get home and unplug my headset or the cable to my Sony car radio audio, the sound immediately comes out of the speaker.Not on the E6, which even requires me to un-pause the media player. If you are streaming radio you don't always get the signal back immediately and easily lose a couple of miniutes before getting back online - or lose the rest of a show if you paused it at some stage.
View 3 Replies View RelatedToday I discovered my speakerphone was not working. On phone calls, the speakerphone light comes on but the audio only comes from the earpiece. Every few calls, the speakerphone starts working midway through the call. On Skype video calls, the same thing. The audio comes only from the earpiece. I have removed and reinstalled Skype. No change. The ringer works as do all the notifications so the speaker is working. I have tried disabling bluethooth to make sure it was not interfering. No change.

The funny thing is that when I paired it to my Jabra Clipper Bluetooth headset, I could make calls without any problems. I recently did a factory re-set and it deleted the VPN. I don't have issues with connectivity, browser works fine.
i seem to have so much trouble getting music onto the flipout. I have had more success by taking the media card out and using a reader. Then i just drag and drop. Trouble is the player doesn't play every file. Some it doesn't like saying it is not the correct file type. I think i ripped everything via windows media player. Also windows media player does not sync with the card sometimes or the device itself. I am lost in the problems so can't remember when i did what. So my question is is there an ideal way to do this that i am missing. I think i did use some motorola software as well but didn't get very far with that either. Sorry i am vague but i am on my Linux machine and not the windows one.

View 1 Replies View RelatedUsed to plug in my phone to the computer to charge but now it no longer charges via the computer.USB notification doesn't appear.Computer doesn't recognise that a device is attached either.I have checked the leads and have tried alternative computers.Still no change.If I use the lead attached to the plug in charger then it charges fine without problem.But as of now I can't use PC charging (which seems to increase battery life between charges) nor can I transfer anything to/from my PC.

Connect the phone, and it will show up as a mass-storage device in Windows Explorer and start charging the phone. Now, click the tray icon to "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media." That disconnects the mass storage device, yet leaves the charger working.

It doesn't seem to be a problem calling voicemail, I can hear the machine just fine, but on all voice calls, I sound very muffled, and have a hard time hearing the other person. I tried holding the phone in every conceivable way which made little difference. This is especially bad when my wife and I call each other. I went to the Verizon store (not where I bought it), and they denied there was any problem and sent me away. I am running Android Jellybean (4.1.1). On my old Sprint phone, this was never an issue, but background noise was horrible. With the RAZR M, there is no background noise, but no clarity either.

For some reason when using a Bluetooth headset (Used a Sony MW1 Smart Wireless Headset Pro, set and a Fiat Blue&Me Car Bluetooth) the sound keeps breaking off both for me and the person I’m calling. I get long brake after witch the sound returns for a while.
When using a wired headset there is no issue like this. nor do I have the issue when i do regular phone calls using the sets
Furthermore sometimes the Bluetooth sound doesn’t turn on at all, so I get no sound neither on the loudspeaker nor on the Bluetooth set although the BT volume is set to max
Basically is there a Fring alternative now that it has pulled Skype support? I'm looking for a way to video call using iPhone 4's front and rear cameras to the Skype client on a computer.

I've used different sim cards - I know this isn't the problem They said without a receipt I was stuffed - didn't matter that the phone was completely new (Sony Ericsson: if you have a new phone - they'll take the IMEI and will honour the warranty if a new phone)
I got a call back 5 min after the phone call They told me to update the software - the phone was due an update
I updated Yeeee ha! The phone lasted 1.5 minutes - and then started rebooting
My phone states "Check for update was not available at this time. Try again later." I tried a factory reset, but to no avail... Same message still shows. Is there a manual update check?
