I seem to have made a boo boo and somehow lost my app tray button. I have no way of getting to my apps now. does anyone know how to get that button back without doing a total system reset? using version 2.2.2

Looks like Sprint and AT&T phones are Q3 . The Verizon phones don't show a time yet. Maybe my Razr will have ICS by 2012..(Sarcasm).
I only recently got my first Android phone, a Motorola Droid 2 and I absolutely love it (though the extended battery is a must-have and probably should just come bundled with the device!) but since I got it, I've been having a very curious issue. Occasionally, when I receive a text message, it displays the sender's correct phone number but the name displayed is that of a different contact. Even when I'm having a back-and-forth text conversation, one of the incoming texts will suddenly appear with someone else's name.
View 9 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know if there is a way to sync contacts from FB to the phone the old way where you could choose to only sync those people that were already in your contacts list rather than sync every one of the 600 FB friends someone might have? My husband has groups on FB so he accepts a lot of people that have a certain car but groups them together. However he doesn't want to scroll through them all to make a phone call and doesn't like the idea of having to delete thm from his FB either. Nor does he like not having pictures for his contacts.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI've noticed that after the ICS update, newly downloaded and installed widgets from Google Play don't show up in the Widgets list until I reboot. Not a critical bug, but annoying nonetheless. I have noticed this on my Acer A500 and A100 tablets on ICS as well, so I assume it's an OS problem, not hardware-specific. Wondering if anyone has found a workaround, and would also like Moto to be aware of this so that it can be corrected in the (hopefully) next update.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSimilar to a previous question, one day after purchasing the Razr I played a song with the included My Music player via MotoCast and enjoyed the lyrics display. Immediatly after playing the song I played it again and could not get the lyrics to reappear. No setting changes on the Razr, tried everything suggested in the forums including other songs, pressing on the song window, etc. Live music information setting shows green check mark next to "Song Lyrics."

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have noticed that while listening to any music (motocast or local) the player will show in the notification bar that it is scrobbing to Last.fm, which I configured and have a vaild login to.hen I go to the Last.fm website and look at last played tracks, none of the music that was "scrobbed" shows up. View 5 Replies View RelatedI have taken my gmail contacts and sorted them into groups. For example Friends and Friends 2, where Friends are people I call all the time and Friends 2 are those I call once a year. On my D2G under Contacts>menu>Show/hide. It says "check the groups to hide." If I check Friends 2, should this not now hide all the contacts in the Friends 2 group?
In Contacts Menu there is also a "Show Group", and this has the options Create new Group, All contacts, favorites, Google, and Phone contacts. This is confusing to me. If I choose "Google" which I assume is all my Gmail contacts, shouldn't the Show/hide apply to those groups? This is not the case. I have checked and unchecked several groups to hide and they still display. I have also verified that the contacts are only in the groups that are checked. So they should be hidden.
I want be able to hide certain groups in contacts and only show them when I need them. I'm not getting this right. I have synced since organizing the the the Gmail contacts.
I needed to show the date stamp on some pics I shot on my RMHD running JB. I know the date info is included in the EXIF metadata I was surprised that I could not find a way to enable this to show this on the actual pic. I checked the Play Store and found nothing.
Since I had already downloaded my pics onto my Win 7 laptop, I figured some Win app would allow the date to be displayed on the pics. Wrong! Finally after googling, I found a Win app that would add the date stamp to my pics.
Presuming this feature does not currently exist on JB or the Gallery app, I think having the ability to optionally add the date stamp to pics would be useful. The option needs to be user selectable so that pics can be shown without the date stamp or with the date stamp.
I have attached a pic without the date stamp and with the date stamp (using the Win 7 app to overlay the date).
I've added my facebook account to Droid 3 and the app Social Network is working well. I've also enabled "Show friends' activities" options in Gallery but still, I can only browse my friends' albums and cannot see any friend on the Gallery dashboard. Did I miss any thing?

I did everything reboot my phone cleared cache from recovery and nothing seems to work I checked my messaging settings and its checked for vibrate when receiving notifications but it don't vibrate or nothing. I use the camera button on my Droid whenever I want to take a picture, as it's a quick and easy way to do it. The Droid 4 requires me to go to the home screen, then to the app drawer if I don't have the shortcut.

I've gotten a number of high cpu usge notifications in the notification bar, but when I open up the task manager to see what is running amuck, the total displayed cpu usage looks small. how to track down the culprit? No new apps, but lots of updates recently, and I really don't want to start randomly deleting apps till I find the one causing this (I've got about 100 apps installed, of which I use probably 10-15 on a daily basis) As a side note my extended battery lost 50% of it's power while plugged into a computer via usb in 3 hours... That has never happened, the computer usb charger has always been more than enough to stop any power drain (while streaming pandora, and connected to bluetooth headphones).

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe Apps button (lower right button) on the home screen is different than on the DX. On the DX it always (almost) launched the "All Apps" group. On the Bionic it launches the most recently viewed group. Since I have set up groups on my home screen this renders the Apps button useless since it is always showing me the last viewed group. Now I have to dedicate a home screen icon to a real "All Apps" group. The old DX functionality was much better.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI downloaded Adobe Flash and Adobe Air from Market. When I went to the Application Tray Icon on my home screen and opened it, there was NO Icon for either Adobe Flash, or Adobe Air, there was however on the first page a icon for "Flash Settings"
When I went to Manage Apps/Applications from Settings...., Both the Proper Icons for Air and Flash were showing.... Is this proper or should I also be seeing a Icon for them both in the Applications Tray as well-?
How often the "My Gallery" updates does it? I mean I guess I'm noticing that after friends' have published their photos on facebook its almost taking 2hrs before "My Gallery" shows up. Some of my friends update takes almost half a day to show up and other friends show up pretty immediately....so very random. And believe me I've reformatted the Cell Phone and removed my Facebook acct and cleared app data/cache and sometimes it works but not all the time.
How can I remove just the "email account on My Gallery". After a reformat occurs you can set up your Facebook Account "Gallery" to syncronize to, of course, your cell phone within My Gallery. You can add/remove Facebook all you want but it seems the "My Gallery" option is greyed out; once you activate it I cannot find a way to dis engage it.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've had my Bionic about a week. The 4 soft buttons along the bottom of the screen (is there a common term for these?) are not always lit up. They all light up or they all don't, it's not just one of them. They're lit when I wake up the display, they'll go off after a while, sometimes just stay off briefly, other times stay off for a while. Is there any protocol for when the lights should be on or off? Is this a defect I should be concerned about?

Well after a couple weeks i went into a VZW store to purchase an extended battery and noticed that the D3 they have out on display has very bright buttons. I've been very busy at work so i finally got around to seeking some tech support and thy are sending me a CLNR to replace mine. I wished i had sought out tech support a couple weeks ago so i would be getting a new phone and not one someone else returned.

Having major trouble as of yesterday afternoon. Seems my touch Screen is on the frits. I noticed my back button didn't work all of a sudden, but the search and home and menu buttons all still work. and i could barely unlock my phone because a strip up from the back button wasn't working. I have done all i know to do at this point, pulled the battery twice, As bad as i hated to, i did a factory reset, which did increase the speed but i lost all of my customizations, and apps. I had 122 market apps and salvaged about 20 - 40 from the market, only 4 was paid. Anyways the problem still existed. IT came back for a few minutes after about an hour after the factory restore, and started working, then went away again. and didn't work again until i started typing this thread. I know it won't last though....
I'm out of warranty and i got shot down by calling verizon for a replacement, thought i might run by a store later to see what i can do. I want to hold out on an upgrade until next year when hopefully the droid 4 will have a keyboard and 3g . I hate to upgrade to a 3g phone this year when 4g is in my area now.
