View 2 RepliesYesterday I was next to my phone at the time two new calls came in. No ring, no notification of a call, nothing. Then two voice mail messages came in - no alert, however. I happened to pick up the phone to make a call and saw the VM notification on the bar.Called the callers - they said the phone went straight to VM as if it was not turned on or locked on a tower. The phone was in a place that I use it constantly - I mean I would be on the phone for several minutes while driving this area - strong signal always.

When I dial out I can hear the person on the other line however my voice in inaudible. Whene I toggle back and forth between speaker ON and speaker OFF the other person can barely hear my voice when the speaker is on...but not at all when it is off. When I check my system in the Setings>About section I confirm my system is up-to-date. I have voice privacy de-selected (did not notice any difference).
View 4 Replies View RelatedUpon Receiving an incoming call my phone rings & vibrates - but will not display any alert on the screen (or lock screen) that there is an incoming call. If I unlock the phone as it's ringing the normal home screen is displayed and after a ring or two I receive the below "Mobile Data not available" prompt. Pressing ok results in the phone going back to the homescreen with once again, no further dialog to answer/ignore/mute the call (nothing in the notification bar either). Eventually the call will make it to voicemail as i can't answer it, and i get a prompt missed call notification.
Items i've checked so far: disabled apps - re-enabled to make sure nothing got zapped that's interfering.Mobile data is enabled under settings.OTA Update was applied & Phone works fine otherwise, solid 4G service in populated area....Note the missed call notification icon is displayed from a previous call when i was trouble shooting:
My Turbo suddenly is not receiving incoming calls. I can call put fine, get texts and am getting vms of people trying to call.
When you try calling my phone from another device it rings on there end and phone does nothing on mine.
Ever since my phone was updated to ICS, I've noticed that once in a while (it's probably happened 5 times now) I can not answer an incoming phone call. Usually it's while my phone is in the Droid 4 car dock, but it has also happened without it being connected to anything. What happens is my phone will ring either through the phone speakers and my bluetooth headset (if connected), but the phone "answer" screen will not pop up, and the phone doesn't respond to any type of input, which forces me to reboot my phone by holding down the power/volume down buttons. Once the phone boots back up, there is no record of who called me in the recent calls list, so hopefully they leave me a voicemail otherwise I have no idea who called me. After the first couple times this happened, I decided to perform a factory reset, hoping that this would fix the lag/freeze up issue, but it did not correct this problem. The only way that I can think of trying to minimize the occurrences of the phone freezing up/ running sluggishly would be to perform a reboot every couple days or so to clear up the memory.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just got a CLN Razr a few weeks ago (came from a Bionic) and love the phone. One question that I can't seem to find an answer for though. I put the phone in vibrate mode and text, emails will vibrate. However, incoming calls will not vibrate, just silent. I checked the sound settings and Silent mode is set to vibrate. Any ideas on how to set the incoming calls to vibrate?

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy Droid X updated yesterday and now the audio no longer works when I make phone calls. The person I call or who calls me cannot hear my end of the conversation. It will only work if my phone is on speaker. Has anyone else experienced this or know a fix? I have taken out the battery to restart it, but that did not fix the problem. Verizon had no solutions besides to send me a refurbished phone replacement.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've had two Razr's behave the same, whenever audio plays, especially using the headphone jack and external speakers, one can hear an audiable click or pop just before and after the audio plays. This happens with Pandora, Rhapsody, and Google Navigator. I haven't tested other audio based apps yet.Verizon and Motorola say they've not heard of this issue, so I'm wondering how many other Razr owners have noticed this pop? Hearing such noises as the audio turns on and off is not acceptable quality for a Motorola branded phone.I don't know enough about how the Android OS works, but I'm thinking there are two possible causes. First, as different apps access the audio hardware the internal electronics of the phone produce an audible pop as the circuits power up and down. Alternatively, the Android OS may be probing the headpone jack trying to determine if it's connected to external speakers. I've noticed that the pop gets louder as the phone approaches 100% charge.
With a 90% charge or better I've even had the audio output go quiet if the headset cable is moved, even though the audio application shows audio is playing. I know that removing the headset cable will pause the player, but in this case hitting play starts the player and it shows progress, but no audio is heard.
I've been using my Moto Droid, running Android 2.2.2 for some time now. Up until recently, I've been able to use it to listen to Pandora and mp3s loaded onto the phone. Now, any time I plug a set of headphones into the audio jack, the audio is really distorted. It sounds like a channel is out or something, and this happens across all volume levels. It pretty much sounds like you're listening to music underwater. Doesn't matter if it's streaming adio through Pandora or mp3 audio. When I unplug the headset (any headset, mind you) and go to external speaker, the audio is fine.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI realize this topic is being discussed elsewhere on this forum, but that thread is now several pages long. Any chance the moderators here can set up a sticky on the forum with an official FAQ on the problem, possible fixes (tried, proven or otherwise) and, most importantly, any feedback on when Motorola and its new Google masters will, as some say, send out a software fix OTA?
Would also love to see any official Motorola or Sprint comments on this issue posted on the sticky as well, so we can separate the official company line from rumor.
I really like this phone, but this calling audio bug is unacceptable and I will return it and spurn any Motorola devices from here out unless the companies provide some concrete feedback on what they're doing to correct this issue and a timetable for when they will take action to do so.
At random my Photon will not receive incoming phone calls. For instance, today this happened twice and the calls went directly to voicemail. Both calls came from other cell phones. This has happened a few times before while at work. I've had this phone for about 10 days now. System version 45.2.7, Android version 2.3.4, Build number 4.5.1A-1SUN-154_6.PDATE: 10-02-11: Again, phone would answer calls today at work. After 2 rings would go to voicemail. I have tried removing the battery and restarting but not luck
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have tried multiple ring tones, and the incoming calls only ring once. This is my 2nd Triumph and this one ends in software/firmware 038.
BTW, it seems like people with software/firmware 039 has more issues with their phones, such as flickering and random reboot.
I am planning on purchasing a Photon this weekend. I was wondering is the loss audio with phone calls happening to everyone or is it just a select few people having the problem. Also the random reboot is this happening to everyone or just a few phones?
View 15 Replies View RelatedI can add custom ringtone (mp3) for incoming calls , can't seem to find a way to add a custom tone for incoming SMS. Does anybody know if there is a way to do this ?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIf I leave my phone on a browser page or text message app or any other app, and the phone goes into standby / locked mode, when an incoming call comes in, I am unable to answer the call. Sometimes I can't unlock the phone (screen dead to touch), sometimes I can unlock but then still no screen, no call Answer button appears, but the phone is ringing.
Is it correct then, that one should never leave any app or browser open on the phone?
How do I save incoming calls to contacts?
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy iphone 4 will has stopped accepting incoming calls. In addition my text message and e-mail message incoming alerts have stopped working.
Info:
iPhone 4, iOS 7.1.2
When I receive a call from a number that is not one of my contacts, the image that pops up is a question mark. Is there a way to remove or change this image. I don't like seeing a question mark when I get a call from someone not on my contact list. I think the Droid phones have a little green android creature that pops up on such calls, but this Motorola XPRT has a question mark. Something like the android creature would be better, or simply no picture at all. I can't find an app that will do this.
View 1 Replies View RelatedYesterday I realized that my phone was not receiving incoming texts or phone calls. I power cycled my phone and several texts from the last 1 1/2 days came through. My phone also started to work again. Has this happened to anyone else? Again this phone has a problem with its most basic function.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to use Lapdock speakers for phone calls and Skype audio? Does Lapdock also have a microphone and could it be used instead of phone microphone for calls? I am using Lapdock 500 + Razr.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo today has started yet another problem. Now when I go to answer my calls or make a call, it is automatically on speakerphone. I turned my phone off and it helped for a few calls and now the problem has returned. I have heard of USB ports going bad or something of that sort (not really familiar with it). Hopefully this is not what happened, yet then again maybe I could get a refurb not riddled with problems.

View 4 Replies View Related1. My phone is lagging. I notice that that this starts occuring when my internal ram gets to about 100MB or less. I never had this issue with gingerbread because I used the auto kill feature in the phones preloaded task manager. Now, ICS does not have a auto task killer and my ram is running extremely low and causeing the phone to lag, especially when going from app to app and returning to the home screen.
2. My audio has been spotty. It works one second then when you load a app that has audio it won't work. If you close the app and load it again then the audio works fine. I have gone into the system recovery and wiped the cache partion on the phone. I also use Cache Cleaner + and have reset the phone and still get the same issues as above. If the suggestions don't work then I call verizon and tell them thank you for screwing up my phone. Worked perfectly fine before with GB.
currently has a new LG something Android phone but the problem also happened with her previous Samsung feature phone. Rebooting my phone frequently resolves the problem for awhile as does receiving a message from me. But since we had problems with old phone I don't believe it's a problem with her phone. Do Handcent, Go SMS and others work independently of the stock Messaging app. I was under the impression that all messaging apps worked off the same core reception and message storage.
