I have a otterbox case, love it. But when I try to use my 4 hard buttons on the lower bottom of my droid x they dont work. I take the case off and the phone is back to normal
View 15 RepliesTwo times over the weekend my Bionic has gotten to a point where the phone's power buttons nor any of the other buttons would respond. There was only the green indicator blinking on the front of the phone and it seemed to be frozen. I waited around 10 minutes and tried pressing the power button again, holding it down and pressing it repeatedly. Nothing. I did a battery pull on the phone and when I booted it back up it seemed to work.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter recently buying a new Milestone outright I'm looking to protect the hell out of it. I currently have purchased a hard case for the phone itself (seidio innocase) as well as a screen protector.Now the next thing that I am looking for is a good Vertical case/pouch.The thing is that it must be vertical and it must be open at the top (I don't want a cover at all.I want to be able to slide the phone in and out easily). I also must have a belt clip on it.I have found a few online, but for what reviews that I have read stated that they are hard to get the phone in and out of when the phone is naked (no case on it). Since I am planning to have the phone in a hard case at all times that particular case will not work for me.
I have seen the pDair case and it looks good, but $28 USD plus shipping (to Canada) I want to make sure that the phone (in a hard case) will fit in it. I havn’t found any reviews on it as of yet either.I know that the iphone & Nexus One are about the same size as the Milestone and wonder if anyone has tried any of those cases with success? As I am sure (especially for the iphone) that there is a wider selection of cases available.
When I searched around for iPhone cases, I couldn't find any that covered the buttons and the back of the phone. I also could not find any screen protectors. The only case was the Zagg stick-on case, and I don't really want that little shock protection. Does anyone know if there will be more cases by the 24th, when my iPhone is due?

Unfortunately it's a slider phone so there's probably gonna be a tough time getting a hardshell case.. Anyway, what's a good case? I know there's always "that ebay case" but this applies to any phone. With iPhones especially there's a good number of quality reputable cases. What about for Droid?
2) Screen protector necessary? I see people go forever with iPhones and no screen protectors yet their screens are nice. Yeah, coated glass is hard to scratch like camera filters. What about the Droid's screen? Should I get one? I may just order Bodyguardz/Invisible Shield.
I have a protective case on my phone that is just the thin rubber protectant. My Bionic won't fit in the LapDock unless I remove the case. Isn't there an insert or something that is supposed to come off of the LapDock to allow phones with cases to fit on the dock?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI am frequently on the water and carry my Droid X in an Aquapac waterproof case. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to use the keypad to enter digits or hang up because the proximity sensor responds to the case and shuts off the screen. If I am quick enough, I can activate the speaker phone before this happens, but it's not ideal for a conversation. For whatever reason, this happened when I first bought the phone, went away with the Froyo upgrade, and is now back again with the Gingerbread upgrade.

View 5 Replies View RelatedDON'T USE MAGNETIC PHONE CASES if you want your compass to stay working.I have searched for and read thru lots of posts about people with compass problems in their Razr but no one mentions if they have or did have a phone case with a magnetic close flap.My compass had been working great and I use Night Sky and navigation apps all the time.I put on a leather flip case for more protection and suddenly my compass is all screwy and locked up!Even taking the case back off didn't help.I got the phone tester app and seen that all 3 axis were frozen so I took the magnet from the offending phone case and floated it up to and away from the phone from all directions. This kinda unfroze the compass but it's still erratic even after calibration.

All of a sudden the keys stopped working, no matter what i press nothing happens, only the trackpad is working. It happend out of nowhere, i didnt drop it or get it wet, so i have no idea how or why this is happening.

Today (11/5) my phone would turn on, I would be able to use it for a short time (when I say short, I mean a few minutes) the phone screen would go into battery saving mode, and then If I tried to wake it back up, nothing would display on the screen so I then again tried the obligatory battery pull. What can I do?
View 5 Replies View RelatedAnyone else have problems with the dialer not responding? I have issues as well with links not responding, same issue I believe but to the dialer first. On occasion I will try to make a phone call and when I press on the person I want to call it will highlight but not dial. I can do this over and over again with just the name highlighting for like thirty times. Then all of a sudden (30 seconds to 3 minutes later) all the phone calls will try to go through and I can hear the persons (usually my wife) voicemail and ringing at the same time. As for the links, it's a similar issue. I will click on a link and it will highlight but will not do anything. Usually when this happens I have to click it three or four times before it registers and the link is followed.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had my Motorola Droid for about 3 months now, bought it new from an overstock dealer on ebay, sealed box and clean MEID.
The phone has been working PERFECTLY up until now, where now the touch screen suddenly does not respond at all. I can see the phone is working fine; the keyboard works, volume and power button works, I can see all the icons running, the time changes, everything. Taking out the battery never works. I did a hard reset and had the touch screen working a few times, but it's really hit or miss. It eventually reverts back to not working.
Again as I said, I have tried hard resets, safe mode, taking the battery out and letting it sit, took the SD card out, formatted the SD card, everything.
This all seems highly unusual, I have craddled this thing since i've gotten it to be sure I do not damage it. It is in pristine condition in every respect. I have no way to replace it since I am with an independent phone company.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Droid 4 intermittently stops responding to AVRCP (audio video remote control profile) commands such as play, pause, FF and REW while listening to music through a Bluetooth wireless stereo headset. When I start playing a song, the AVRCP commands work for a while, then the Droid 4 stops responding to them. The headset volume continues to work, but I don't think the phone needs to respond to volume commands because they operate locally at the headset. Here is a list of things I have tried that do NOT solve the problem:Three different music players: factory loaded music player, Power Amp, and DoubleTwist Three different Bluetooth stereo headsets: LG Tone (from Verizon store), Sennheiser MM200, Sony DR-BT100CX Hard reset of the phone Got a new replacement Droid 4 from the Verizon Wireless store "Allow Bluetooth bypass" in the Location & security settings both checked and unchecked.Pin/password/pattern protect both enabled and disabled WiFi turned on and off Screen locked and unlocked.(Toggling between locked and unlocked and vice-versa seems to get it responding to commands, but then wait another minute and it stops responding again.)Installed System Update 6.13.219.en.US on 4/28/12? I listen to a lot of music, so the phone is useless to me if this is not fixed. I'm within Verizon's 14 day return period, so this will be the second Droid 4 I'm returning if the problem is not fixed.

I think this all happened after being in the car dock. Today when removed from the car dock it was still indicating charging the battery, had to reboot to clear. Its was getting hot.
Is anyone else having a problem with the buttons Home, back, etc. not coming on or shuting off by themselves?
View 13 Replies View RelatedMy VOL and CAM buttons turn the unit ON [original "droid" (year and a half old) ]... as a result it is almost impossible to keep phone off in my holster and so it drains quickly and then NO phone!I looked in "settings" for the phone (globally) and found something about "accessibility" which is OFF (unchecked). "Power button ends call" = checked. But that'sit. Nothing on how to control those two buttoms.

I cannot click the phone dialer, SMS, camera or app icons. Anything above this first row still works fine. I did a factory reset on the phone and still no luck.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI am having a problem with all of the hard buttons turning my screen on. With Froyo, only the power button and home button would turn the screen on. Now any of the buttons can activate the screen making it too easy for the screen to come on, running my battery down.
