Motorola Droid Razr :: No Network Outage Due To Service Providers
Nov 16, 2011
I've had no data connection all day, only voice and text, but 3G only phones work fine. Called Verizon and they only gave me a refund for no data today, but wouldn't say why or how long. I guess its on there end since they didn't even try to see if my phone was the problem.
Since a few hours ago my RAZR has gone from 4G to NO data every 30 seconds. Triggering the screen on and off at the same cycle. It took a long time but I've been able to get it to lock now to 3G and it seems stable.I did a power cycle first but that didn't solve it.This is already a replacement RAZR so I really don't want to do full reset.I guess I'll call CS next.I'm in area code 262 it that helps.
I have a new installation of Windows 7 on a new computer and am having a difficult time connecting to my phone by either USB or by Bluetooth FTP Service. It appears that I can connect correctly to the Bluetooth Audio Services, but as I cannot get any music onto my phone I am having a hard time testing it.On Bluetooth installation I had two devices that were not installed correctly. Through trial and error I discovered that these two devices are related to the Generic Access Service and the Generic Attributes Service, both of which I have disabled on my Win7 Bluetooth phone properties.
I HAVE installed Motorola Device Manager with no success resolving. In fact, I cannot see where MDM is even accessible on my system: no system tray icon, no start menu link, etc.I'm new to the forum so I'm not sure if my image upload will work correctly, but in essence the phone Operation Panel in Win7 shows the FTP Service as active but clicking the Browse button does nothing. I do get a prompt on my phone initially asking for permision for my computer to access the phone, but then nothing.
We are not receiving our emails on our Blackberries. We have a Bold & a Curve on Sprint's network. Everything worked fine on Sunday, however yesterday & today we are not getting emails from our company email accounts, the yahoo emails work fine and we are still receiving the emails on our computers. We have spent the last 2 days, on the phone with Sprint, at a Sprint store and on the phone with Go Daddy. No one can figure out what happened
I went to the Sprint store and they reset the service manual. They also said that they can't really do anything about it, that it's a problem with BB (Ugh!!). The RIM site states that the problem is resolved in the US, but I can't seem to get my mail accounts functioning again.
Recently com.motorola.service.main has been draining my battery rapidly. The phone itself seems to be running hotter. My usage patterns have not changes, but my data usage has increased. I've used 1.6G in 6 days when last month I was hard pressed to use 2G total.
My other half gets an error on her Razor Maxx phone that says " Network error please check the network" . It comes up just about every time she does anythign with the phone. She called the provider and did troubleshoot it and they say nothing is wrong with the settings and network. Almost say that it isn't happenning. This has become quite annoying and I've seen it myself. I have same phone and no issues with mine at all .. we purchased at same time and did upgrades at same time as well
I received the ICS update...everything has been fine but today i have no network. No bars, no 3G/4G/1X....i get a message that tells me a CDMA network cannot be found. Right now I have one tiny bar but that's all...
I lost my data signal AGAIN while uploading a picture from Facebook. Now I have this orange triagle in the upper left corner of my screen and on the drop down menu is says "Download requires network" which I can not get rid of.
After installing an app called WIFI Analyzer and seeing all the AP's in my neighborhood I wanted my home network in a less congested area of the spectrum. I changed my home network and now I can't see my AP? The only thing I can think of is that the Razr Maxx does not support 5GHz as I see from the product spec page that N networks are supported.
I keep getting Backup Assistant popping up when I want to save a contact or other things, and I want it disabled or removed and I've found no way to do that. I don't need to backup anything with Verizon or Motorola... I already do that with Google. How do I disable or remove this stuff so it's not constantly popping up or running in the background or starting up and taking up memory?
Also the Sync Service seems to be constantly there and I'm not sure what it does. It's red arrows circling a black lock and looks like another Motorola or Verizon app that I don't need that will get in the way.
when I have both wifi and 4g lte running on my Droid Razr Maxx (still running gingerbread), both indicators are blue. As I understand it the 4g lte indicator should turn white when I turn on wifi, which is what is use to do.
Last friday I upgraded my iPhone 4S to iOS 5.1.1. After successful upgrade, I am seeing lot of network outage issues. I am seeing "No Service" message. There seems to be nothing wrong with my service provider.
Info: iPhone 4S, iOS 5.1.1, Unlocked iPhone from Apple Store
I've tried calling Verizon, but they won't open a ticket because of a known issue with the .173 update, but everytime I enter a extended network area, I quickly lose data connection. It seems like I hear of quite a few people in my area having this problem. Verizon pushed a hybrid PRL to my phone and the PRL version went from 15098 to 13014. Am I going to just have to wait till they actually send someone to fix a local tower or is this something nation wide?
If I unmask my WiFi network, I can connect to it with my Droid Razr.
If I turn off broadcasting, I know its still there - I have laptops and an iPhone that still find it an can connect to it. But my new RAZR doesn't seem to know how to locate/connect to it .
What settings do I need to change to get this to work.
No matter whether the clock is set by the network; or it is set manually; the time is 14-15 seconds ahead; and no. setting it manually will not fix the problem.
Does anyone know how to either set up a local adhoc network connection or a Bluetooth conection between a RAZR and a DROIDX to facilitate file transfers between phones? I tried Bluettoth - the devices are paired but will not connect..
Is there anyway to turn off or set it to ask me each time I connect to service providers internet? It just seems to connect whenever, even if I'm not expecting it, I don't have a data plan and don't intend on having one.Is there anyway to set it use use Wifi instead? Certain features I would only use in house.GPS is there anyway to just use the internal GPS and not the network? Why do the menus seen different to other phones (more complicated)? is it just the phone or is it what to expect of Android phones?
Simple things like message ringtones menu, what are they called now?
I use my Vodafone Storm2 in England and have done for about 7 months now. I have a £40 per month contract with unlimited text messages, 600 minutes, unlimited emails, unlimited internet. However, I am going to the States for a six week internship from July 5th and want to take my BlackBerry. If I do nothing and use it over there, I could potentially rack up near to £15 extra per day! I obviously do not want to do that. Can I unlock my BlackBerry here and then pick up a SIM when I get over to the States? If so could I send emails, texts and make calls without being charged? How would I go about getting such a SIM and what would I want to look for?
I just wanted to know how can I delete my earlier service providers GPRS settings so that i can install my present service providers GPRS settings in X10_mini cellphone
I tried to download something when I didn't have service and the notication regarding "download requires network" won't go away. I'm not able to swipe to clear it.
when I reformat my Nokia 5233 using code [*#7370#] my nokia apps pre-installed on my phone automatically sends registring message which is charged by some network providers. Is there any way to overcome this problem or removing my nokia apps from my phone.
I purchased the Moto Elite Sliver because my Plantronics Pro HD would drop its bluetooth every single time a call was answered or placed. I did a little research and found it may be related to a conflict with the 2.0 headset and 4.0 phone. Moto Sliver is BT 3.0 and was working great until this week. Now every single time a call is disconnected, the headset disconnects and reconnects. Reboots galore, problem still exists. Uninstall/reinstall Motospeak, problem still exists. Sometimes the bluetooth will not connect at all (reboot required). The Droid RAZR Maxx and the Elite Sliver are supposed to be state of the art MOTOROLA, I make a living with my phone and headset.
Apparently there is a nationwide outage on the Sprint Network. All Iden Nextel devices are working as they should be. Sprint Direct Connect devices are not working. Phone service is fine, however DC is not working.
I'm getting the following error when trying to check corporate sync emails :"The process com.motorola.service.main has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.I've tried again and I still get an error. I've tried rebooting and I still get an error. Yahoo and Gmail are fine.I also get this error when I try to amend the settings in Accounts:"The application Email authenticator (process com.motorola.provider.authenticator) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."There are loads of posts of this topic for all Motorola Android phones (this is the first discussion for Motorola Razr) - none of them have a decent solution!
my k1 does not have any service from my network provider and it cannot blue tooth.i think its a hardware problem -- maybe the antenna is broken ??? but i could be wrong is this a hardware or software problem ?----
i reflashed my KRZR with the stock firmwaree - R4527_G08.22.07R_mlp_mdrm_reflash_DC and i still gett no service on my sim card and my krzr still isnt able too bluetooth.soo i guess its really is a hardware problemm... something to do with the KRZR Antennae ... but were is the antennae loacated on the mother board ?? hwo does it look ?
I have WiFi enabled. Often when I am near a wireless access point, my RAZR M still uses 4G. It's as if the WiFi is going to sleep when I power the screen off, but it doesn't wake up again. Turning WiFi off and on makes it reconnect. It seems to happen mostly when I'm at home, where I also use the Motorola flip stand with "ESP" smart charger, and a NetGear dual-band wireless router/access point.
Brand new Car Dock and Razr. Installed and all good working no problems for first 2 days, then when I dock the RAZR it does not change to the car navigation screen or start to charge.Power light on the power cable. RAZR charges and transfers data via other cables.
The Verizon Sales assistant assured me that I'd be able to Sync my Outlook with my Droid Razr as easily as I synced it with my old Blackberry Tour. Now, after several days' worth of set-up, google searches, forum searches and FAQ's, I'm come to the conclusion that Motorola did NOT build this function into the Droid Razr, and I have to pay a hefty fee for a decent 3rd-party app to do what my Blackberry did for free. Have I missed something?
