Clock will randomly flip from digital to analog and tapping on new SMS notification will bring me to the write a new message screen, not the message the widget is notifying me about.It is not a problem on my RAZR M which is perplexing.

View 6 Replies View RelatedICS lacks two important features: 1) stand-alone native toggles for GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, airplane mode, etc. (lack of these was one of the reasons i returned the galaxy nexus and replaced it with the Maxx) and 2) a clean easy way of toggling between 3G/4G. Im aware of the LTE on/off app from the market but it's not as clean, simple, and easy as the way you could toggle between CDMA and LTE before. Hoping motorola adds these back someday....
View 9 Replies View RelatedHave noticed that if I add a new widget from the market, the only way to get it to show up in the app tray is to power off/on the phone. I check the Apps Manager, and they are there, but not in the Apps/Widget tray until the power off/on sequence.
Do we need a refresh option in the tray or is this an isolated issue with my phone. Has anyone else experienced this.
I've noticed that after the ICS update, newly downloaded and installed widgets from Google Play don't show up in the Widgets list until I reboot. Not a critical bug, but annoying nonetheless. I have noticed this on my Acer A500 and A100 tablets on ICS as well, so I assume it's an OS problem, not hardware-specific. Wondering if anyone has found a workaround, and would also like Moto to be aware of this so that it can be corrected in the (hopefully) next update.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI got the ICS update, but now my smart actions cannot control notification volume...? Also, I cannot link volumes anymore, so the volume buttons do nothing for me anymore. Turn down ringer, sure....but then notifications and alerts just blast through without having to manually adjust each one! Why was this removedAlso, since the update, the emal widget only allows you to select either one account to display, or all combined?? Why? I have 6 accounts...combined view is just a mess. On GB, you could select the account right there on the widget. Now, you have to go into the email, then switch it. Even then, the widget reverts to the first one you set up. This is annoying and I do not get why this would be removed?That is the same for the news widget and the social media app...where did they go? They were better than any other widgets out there and now they are gone...unless I am just looking in the wrong place?

I can't re-add the Motorola widgets, but also, the space where they should be is not available to add another widget either. i.e. I've now got a dead/unusable space on my home screen.

I was wanting to know if anyone had an issue with the home screen stopping. I have over 800 apps on my phone and wondered if maybe it was that with the app draw trying to refresh and it taking too long. When I did a search people were having this problem with only having 20 or less added apps to their phone. Some even had this problem after having their phone refreshed. I can run the phone for days and use it with no problem and nothing and then out of the blue there it goes. I click the app drawer and the searching circle goes around and round and then the home screen will close and go to the last app or web page I was on and it could be one from a few days ago. I erase all the previous history and when the home screen closes it just refreshes the home screen. The only thing I can do is reboot and wait about 10 or so minutes and its all good till the next time. The question I am wondering is what is causing this. I had someone comment on links or widgets on the homescreen might be causing it. I removed some and it does not happen as much

when the phone restarts, the power widget is gone and some random app from my app drawer is there that might not even be located on any of my homescreens.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had a white spot on my screen that is about a 1/4" in diameter for a few weeks now. It is about an inch above the Z in the Verizon logo at the bottom of the screen. It only really shows up on white/light backgrounds such as webpages. I was living with it fine until a few days ago it appears that there is a huge amount of light bleed coming from the whole bottom of the screen now. It almost appears as if the LCD is separating from the screen and allowing light through.
If you take the battery cover off the phone and press on the battery where the spot is in the screen it causes a ripple/wave effect in the screeen, just like if you press on an LCD monitor. I assume that with use overtime the battery has heated/cooled and expanded into the LCD components of the phone, so when you press on it, it is probably directly touching the LCD components. I use my phones for music/movies/games and it is not uncommon for the back of the phone to get fairly warm under my usage.
I've had my phone about 11 months, I went by a VZW corporate store and they are sending me a refurb from what I gathered. But I'm guessing this is a battery/design issue and my new/refurb isn't going to make it much longer than 11 months or so.
This is kind of a question/fyi for people since a lot of DX users are probably nearing the 12 month mark of owning a DX.
I tried various clock widgets and since upgrade to GB, the time does not update, the clock on the top status bar will have the correct time and the widget will show like 2 hours ago. If I tap the widget, it refreshes and shows the correct time, otherwise it's stuck. Anyone have a flip clock widget (ala HTC Sense clock), preferably with weather that will work with the DroidX and GB? Will the new mr6 update in mid-august fix this? Analog clocks seem to work, so my guess it's some sort of update/refresh service in GB is not working correctly.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI've noticed that since the Gingerbread update, occasionally (perhaps three or four times over the past week or two) a stock widget or two disappears from my home (or other) screen. This never happened with Froyo. This morning my stock Bluetooth widget was gone and I had to reinstall it. I am almost religious about pressing the Power button while on my home page to blank the screen before placing my phone in its holster. That has always prevented inadvertent button presses on the screen.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI purchased the Moto Elite Sliver because my Plantronics Pro HD would drop its bluetooth every single time a call was answered or placed. I did a little research and found it may be related to a conflict with the 2.0 headset and 4.0 phone. Moto Sliver is BT 3.0 and was working great until this week. Now every single time a call is disconnected, the headset disconnects and reconnects. Reboots galore, problem still exists. Uninstall/reinstall Motospeak, problem still exists. Sometimes the bluetooth will not connect at all (reboot required). The Droid RAZR Maxx and the Elite Sliver are supposed to be state of the art MOTOROLA, I make a living with my phone and headset.

It's as if the WiFi is going to sleep when I power the screen off, but it doesn't wake up again. Turning WiFi off and on makes it reconnect.It seems to happen mostly when I'm at home, where I also use the Motorola flip stand with "ESP" smart charger, and a NetGear dual-band wireless router/access point.

View 15 Replies View RelatedThe Verizon Sales assistant assured me that I'd be able to Sync my Outlook with my Droid Razr as easily as I synced it with my old Blackberry Tour. Now, after several days' worth of set-up, google searches, forum searches and FAQ's, I'm come to the conclusion that Motorola did NOT build this function into the Droid Razr, and I have to pay a hefty fee for a decent 3rd-party app to do what my Blackberry did for free. Have I missed something?
