Motorola Atrix 4G :: Have Clock Widgets Not Updating?
Aug 18, 2011I have tried a couple of different digital clock widgets and some (but not all and not always!) do not update the time unless you put the phone to sleep and then wake it again. I am running no task killers and do not have an excessive number of programs running at any one time.

Aug 4, 2011I tried various clock widgets and since upgrade to GB, the time does not update, the clock on the top status bar will have the correct time and the widget will show like 2 hours ago. If I tap the widget, it refreshes and shows the correct time, otherwise it's stuck. Anyone have a flip clock widget (ala HTC Sense clock), preferably with weather that will work with the DroidX and GB? Will the new mr6 update in mid-august fix this? Analog clocks seem to work, so my guess it's some sort of update/refresh service in GB is not working correctly.

Sep 28, 2015I purchased a Nexus 6 phone about 9 months ago and installed many widgets. My software is up-to-date and AT&T is my carrier.
Everything was working fine until approximately 5-6 weeks ago when the widgets began freezing multiple times per day requiring a reboot to reactivate. When the widgets freeze - everything else works fine. I have gone through several exercises trying to determine the cause to no avail. I've removed all of the widgets and reintroduced one at a time, but can't pinpoint any one widget as being the issue. I currently use the following widgets: Weather Channel, The Score, Google Now, Calendar, Gmail and Flipboard.
Google Nexus 6 :: Widgets Randomly Stop Updating
Sep 13, 2015I have a Chronus clock and an Accuweather widget that wil randomly stop updating. The only way to resolve this is to reboot the phone. The Chronus clock works ok, but the battery meter will randomly stop updating. The Accuweather wigdet will also stop. If I remove and re-add the Accuweather app, all I get is the "Loading" screen.
I am on a Nexus 6 on the T-Mo network. Currently running OS 5.1.1, build LYZ28J.

Aug 14, 2012I have a relatively new Atrix 2 and the pre installed Social Networking widget stopped updating. I have deleted the widget and reinstalled it from the app, I have deleted my accounts and then added them back. These seem to work for a day or two and then it stops working again. Like this app. Worked well for about a month then stopped.

My personal experience with Atrix on froyo 2.2.2 with lapdock is not bad i.e. battery is good, network & wifi is good, movies playing in wide screen mode.So I am asking what the benifits of updating/upgrading to gingerbread are actually. I only know one i.e. I tried to download Asphalt6 for atrix and it mentioned I need 2.3.4 to run this HD game(but then i came to know that it is not released for Tegra2 processor yet).

I have read a ton of forum posts in other areas that have verying amount of times that they have allowed this to sit. Nov 18, 2011I put the Motorola toggle widgets on my home screen (e.g. toggle data, wifi, bluetooth, GPS).
I rebooted and they disappeared. I tried to re-add them. I can't. I can add toggle widgets from the Android Market.
OK... here's the bug... I can't re-add the Motorola widgets, but also, the space where they should be is not available to add another widget either. i.e. I've now got a dead/unusable space on my home screen.

Jul 2, 2012ICS lacks two important features: 1) stand-alone native toggles for GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, airplane mode, etc. (lack of these was one of the reasons i returned the galaxy nexus and replaced it with the Maxx) and 2) a clean easy way of toggling between 3G/4G. Im aware of the LTE on/off app from the market but it's not as clean, simple, and easy as the way you could toggle between CDMA and LTE before. Hoping motorola adds these back someday....

Jun 7, 2011I have been experieincing a bug for a while now and have decided to ask if anyone else has this problem:
1) I have both the happenings and messaging Motorola apps as widgets on my home screen.
2) I have the Messaging app restricted to only show updates from Email, Text, and Facebook.I have deselected my work outlook email because I don't want it included in the App.
3) I have the Happenings app restricted to only show updates from a group I created of a selct number of my Facebook friends.
4) Both apps work fine (except for the occasional instance about once every 2 weeks where Happenings fails to update for about 4 to 12 hours - but lots of people have this problem)
5) About once or twice per day these widgets reset to where it starts showing all happenings and all messages.At this point I must edit the widget settings and deselect my work outlook and select my special Facebook group.
A) Both apps do not always reset sometimes it is just messaging sometimes it is just happenings.
B) Both apps will reset if I reboot the phone.
C) My perception - this reset seems to occur frequently after I have made a phone call or opened my contacts list.... but I cannot reproduce it... just seems to correlate to those usages.
Can someone tell me what file this information is stored in - maybe I can find out more info on how it is being reset.
Motorola Droid Razr :: Widgets Not Showing Up After Download
Jun 29, 2012Have noticed that if I add a new widget from the market, the only way to get it to show up in the app tray is to power off/on the phone. I check the Apps Manager, and they are there, but not in the Apps/Widget tray until the power off/on sequence.
Do we need a refresh option in the tray or is this an isolated issue with my phone. Has anyone else experienced this.

May 16, 2011I recently had my arm twisted by my carrier to switch to a capped plan after years of pre-paid. With the deal came a lovely little QUENCH with MOTOBLUR MB501. I am enjoying the phone but as I am not an internet social networker I would love to remove the "Add a social network" widgets from my homescreen. As yet I have not been able to work out how to do so.

Jun 15, 2011I've noticed that since the Gingerbread update, occasionally (perhaps three or four times over the past week or two) a stock widget or two disappears from my home (or other) screen. This never happened with Froyo. This morning my stock Bluetooth widget was gone and I had to reinstall it. I am almost religious about pressing the Power button while on my home page to blank the screen before placing my phone in its holster. That has always prevented inadvertent button presses on the screen.
