View 2 Replies View RelatedIn the past - namely when I owned the Droid X - while in a call, I was able to press the volume up and volume keys successfully to adjust the in-call volume while I held the phone to my ear. Albeit the screen was turned off, the volume adjustment responded properly. I find now with the Bionic that I cannot adjust the volume while the phone is against my ear and that I actually have to move the phone far enough away from my face in order for the screen to turn back on and allow for the volume to be adjusted.
This causes me to miss part of the conversation, Matt can this be adressed or is there a setting I am missing?
Has anyone else noticed a crackling noise (like bad reception / interference) when placing calls? I want to say what I notice is when I'm getting the ring back while waiting for someone to pick up is the "only" time I hear it. The audio in calls seems to be ok. It's sounds like a weak signal or interference. As far as I know (though I use my phone more for data than voice).I haven't noticed anything horrible as far as reception/call audio in calls, aside from when calling my mom, but I think that's her (she's famous for leaning on the mic or mumbling and trailing off). I start to think I must be old (I'm not) and losing my hearing (I'm not) but then I just realize it's herI don't know if it's because usually when I make a call I just unlock the screen and make the call and it was trying to re-start any data sleeping modes and such or if it's something else...
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I receive a sms message sometimes, the original text comes through fine. However, a few minutes later I get small bits and pieces of the original message sent to me in about 10 separate text messages ( sometimes more ) from a California telephone number (I live in Mass.). When I call that number from my Bionic, it goes right ot my voice mail voice mail. When I call the number from a landline, it states that the call cannot be completed.
View 1 Replies View RelatedFrequently when I am using my bluetooth (I use more than one Motorola BT Oasis and Motorola H710) and when I end the call the Razr does not drop the call until I wake the Razr up.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI noticed this yesterday when I was leaving a voice mail message, that when I pressed the End Call "button" nothing seemed to happen. I was still connected to the call. I pressed a little harder for a little longer, and still I was connected. I had to turn the phone completely off to disconnect the call. It happened again today when I was leaving another message. Then I called my brother and talked to him for a minute, and I think the call only disconnected when he hung up, not when I pressed End Call.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to get notifications, sound, led or both, when I'm on a call? I know messages (text, email) are getting to the phone when I'm on a call but I don't know unless I'm looking at it.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo I bought my wife a new D2 in December. A month ago it suddenly no longer saw the memory card. Verizon replaced it with a USED D2 Global. I hate Verizon. The replacement immediately had low in call volume and only a power off would fix it. They then sent another USED D2 Global. I hate Verizon. The replacement D2 Global arrived and guess what....low in call volume. Went back to the store and they're sending yet another. Really? How much of their shipping costs and my time are they going to waste? I'll keep taking it back and maybe after 10 replacements they'll realize how much shipping costs they've wasted.
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen connected to my car via bluetooth, the phone emits a very loud, ear peircing tone when the call is ended. I cannot find how to turn off the call end tone in any of the menus. This is an extremely annoying "feature" that I would like to get rid of.
View 8 Replies View RelatedI see that the Bionic users are complaing of this issue, but don't see it here with the Droid 4 users.(My Droid 2 did it as well). The tone happens at the end of a call no matter who is terminating the call or whether the phone is BT or not. I see no way to turn this off or control the volume with the Droid 4 without turning the whole notification process off.The problem is most severe when I BT to my car stereo as the tone is especially loud because of the car stereo volume. Ironically, if the call drops, there is no termination tone, which is the one time at least you could appreciate some sort of notification. Often I am talking away after the call drops and will have no idea that the call dropped. Ideally, this tone should be volume controlled independently of other notification tones.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI installed and configured cisco jabber for IP-dialing,
but i only can receive calls how i can dial a call on Xyboard??
When I am in a call, frequently the screen switches over to the dial-pad and starts dialing random numbers. Almost always when this happens, it cuts off the person I was talking to.
View 10 Replies View RelatedSince the Lollipop update when I answer a call its a good 3-5 seconds before the person on the other end can hear me talking. I usually end up saying Hello? 3-4 times before they can hear me. My dad has it on his Turbo as well.
View 10 Replies View RelatedSo this has happened the last 7 calls in a row. Someone calls, I answer, and then press the speaker phone button, say hello, and call ends...
I was just about to sing the praises of lollipop but this is really annoying.
I have the droid turbo 32g. If I am listening to something on headphones and someone calls, the in call volume will be wake-the-dead loud. I can try to adjust the volume either before answering the call or after answering, but it makes no difference. It is loud enough that is uncomfortable to keep the speaker against my ear. I'd say this happens about 75% of the time. I can't figure out why it occasionally works correctly.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have the lock screen disabled, yet after I send or receive a text (using Handcent) my screen locks. I checked my Handcent setup and all the screen locking and security features are disabled as well.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy wife's D3 locks immediately after starting a call. She has to hit the power/sleep button to wake it up to end the call. Anyone know how to stop this? She says she has not changed any settings and my D3 has never done this. Don't see any new apps installed and the phone has been rebooted.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI seem to recall on my D2G that there was a setting in either Sounds or the Phone settings that would allow you to set a default in call volume. I can't seem to find that on the D4 and it would nice to have as the phone's default in call volume seems to be 100% which leads me to be continually turning down the volume on every call.
View 4 Replies View RelatedHas anybody else noticed that when you are on the phone, you are unable to adjust the volume while the phone is next to your ear.. I have went through 3 bionics and all of them have had this issue, in order for me to adjust the volume during a phone call I have to pull it away from my ear, let the screen light up, and then it will let me change it..
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have a Droid Global 2, and over the last 2 weeks, I've been experiencing call volume so low that I can't understand the caller. Checking the Veizon User Forum, I see theres about 100 people complaining about the same thing. Some people have had 5 replacement phones! Is Motorola working on a firmware fix?
View 1 Replies View RelatedBefore the latest software update, there was a setting in call settings called personal profile that let me select to have the sound silence when turning phone upside down and/or by tapping screen 2 times. There was also a setting to end a call by clicking the power off button. I can no longer find these settings. Will they bring them back in a future software update? I miss these features!
