Before the latest software update, there was a setting in call settings called personal profile that let me select to have the sound silence when turning phone upside down and/or by tapping screen 2 times. There was also a setting to end a call by clicking the power off button. I can no longer find these settings. Will they bring them back in a future software update? I miss these features!

I seem to recall on my D2G that there was a setting in either Sounds or the Phone settings that would allow you to set a default in call volume. I can't seem to find that on the D4 and it would nice to have as the phone's default in call volume seems to be 100% which leads me to be continually turning down the volume on every call.
View 4 Replies View RelatedIdeally, any time I make or receive a call I'd like for the screen to be automatically turned off as if I always immediately hit the "screen on/off" button once the call was active.
To describe in more detail: I want the screen to turn off independent of how close it is to my ear. If I want the screen on, I want to have to hit the "screen on" button. This would prevent me from ever accidentally hitting screen buttons when I position the phone on my collar during calls as opposed to holding it against my head.
Will the next iOS update provide users to set up profiles that can be changed manually or by a chosen location setting. Or an a app with the same ability

There is no "Voicemail settings" in the "Call settings" section. It seems like a first page of Call settings is missing because at the top of the list it says "Call settings", then immediately under that it says "Other call settings".
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I open a contact, click on his/her Facebook icon, I can select 4 options, "View Profile, Send Social Message, Write on wall, and Poke." When I choose "View Profile", it opens a mobile Facebook webpage in a browser window and opens my news feed, but not his/her profile.
I have tried with both the stock browser and Dolfin HD as my default browser. I've added my FB account to google and also have the (mostly useless, IMHO) Facebook app. I've deleted and readded my Facebook Account as well. My contacts show their FB profile pic, and I can poke and write on his/her wall. Behavior is the same from within the social networking app.
Is my expectation that his/her profile open when I click "view profile" wrong?
I know there was an open thread but couldn't find it. I still can't register my phone in my profile. I input the phone and the serial number but it doesn't stick.

I just reviewed mine and found that my serial number (IMEI) was only displaying the first 14 characters. I was able to update and save the full 15 so it is good now.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid with Micorsoft Sync. I had a Droid X and upgraded to the Bionic. When getting in the car, the DX always auto-connected to the phone (headset) profile and also to the A2DP profile, although sometimes the Sync screen displayed a "Connection failed" message before it always actually did connect. Previously my BB Storm 2 had no problems connecting.
When I turn the car on, the Bionic connects fine to the headset profile but fails to auto-connect to the A2DP profile. I get the same "Connection failed" message as with the DX but it doesn't subsequently connect and I have to connect it manually. This is very troubling to me as I almost exclusively use A2DP for listening to music and podcasts in my car.[url]...
I was trying to link my mom's contact to her facebook profile, and so I added her full name-- Kathy Jones. However, my phone auto synced her to another facebook contact... Katie Jones. On her contact card, I added my mom's cell number and email address, neither of which is the same as Katie's. However, my phone autosynced it with Katie, adding in her phone number and email address to the contact card. AND, because it is a facebook contact, i'm told "facebook contact information is not editable on this device" It's not a dealbreaker, just annoying, as the wrong photo shows up when my mom calls, and I'm afraid that one day i'm going to accidentally select the wrong number/email address.Is there anyway to unlink these? I don't want to disable all facebook syncing, as i like being able to quickly access profiles of my other contacts, and have photos connected to them. I'm just looking for a way to manually tell my phone that these two people, despite having the same last name and similar first names are not, in fact, the same person.

If my phone is misplaced, people have no options other than to go through the phone and figure out who the owner is. It would be great to have this feature. It would give me peace of mind knowing it's there in case it's found. Most people would try to return it to a store or its rightful owner.

I want to say what I notice is when I'm getting the ring back while waiting for someone to pick up is the "only" time I hear it. The audio in calls seems to be ok. It's sounds like a weak signal or interference. As far as I know (though I use my phone more for data than voice).I haven't noticed anything horrible as far as reception/call audio in calls, aside from when calling my mom, but I think that's her (she's famous for leaning on the mic or mumbling and trailing off). I was messing around with my Profile settings today, and I somehow got my Vibrate Only Profile for the Phone's Vibration settings out of sync from the Normal Profile. Before it had "(Normal)" in front of "Custom" but now it's gone, see attachment. Is there a way I could set it back somehow?

My sons iphone 4 needed to be replaced. When i plugged in the new phone it stated i needed to update the software and recommened I create a new user and change the user after updating. Now i can't figure out how to change the profile back to the profile we used on the broken phone.

I have an Iphone 4S on ios 5.1.1, and there is no option for 'personal hotspot' anywhere in settings! How do I fix this? I have restored my iphone, but that didnt help. When I go to Settings > General > Network I get these options: Enable 3G, Cellular Data, Cellular Data Network, Data Roaming, VPN, Wi-Fi. My friends have iphones and have a 'Personal Hotspot' option. Surely we all have the same OS since we are all on 5.1.1! How can this happen? All other forums have told me to 'Acivate Personal Hotspot' with my carrier. But how can I do this if there is no option in the settings?
