If you would like to be included in Motorola Feedback Network activities it is important that your information stored in your profile is correct. I just reviewed mine and found that my serial number (IMEI) was only displaying the first 14 characters. I was able to update and save the full 15 so it is good now.

I have a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid with Micorsoft Sync. I had a Droid X and upgraded to the Bionic. When getting in the car, the DX always auto-connected to the phone (headset) profile and also to the A2DP profile, although sometimes the Sync screen displayed a "Connection failed" message before it always actually did connect. Previously my BB Storm 2 had no problems connecting.
When I turn the car on, the Bionic connects fine to the headset profile but fails to auto-connect to the A2DP profile. I get the same "Connection failed" message as with the DX but it doesn't subsequently connect and I have to connect it manually. This is very troubling to me as I almost exclusively use A2DP for listening to music and podcasts in my car.[url]...
A new feature in the Security and Screen Lock settings is the ability to add your Owner Info.(Settings/Security & Screen Lock/Owner Info)The owner info then displays (it scrolls actually) across the top of the lock screen (if you don't use a lock screen, it doesn't display). For my info, I have my name, my google voice number, and an email address.I previously had an app to do this, but with ICS I no longer need it. I mention this feature because of something that happened to me this weekend. I have an Android ICS tablet on which I've also entered the owner info. I left it in a public place this past weekend. Before I had even gotten back to my hotel, I had received emails and phone calls from the person who found the tablet, turned it on, and used the Owner Info to contact me.Saved me at least $300 it would have taken to replace it. Which wasn't the worst thing - I had taken the memory card out of my camera and put it in the tablet. I would have been extremely upset at losing of days worth of very important photos that could have never been replaced.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI went to update my profile since I saw the message that they had separated the tablets from the phones.Not quite.They still require you to enter a serial number for your phone or you can't save the profile.Even though I'm not using a Motorola phone.I put the tablet serial number in there and it took it. So I put the tablet serial number two places.No harm done just irritating.If they aren't any smarter than this that they can't even organize a logical personal info sheet where the entries pertain to what you are entering info about ... what kind of stuff are they making?Incompetence really torques my jawInfo sheets for phone users should be COMPLETELY SEPARATE from info sheets for TABLET users, not combined

View 8 Replies View RelatedSo I had a chance to start and really flex the stock music app.This application is a huge improvment over the GB one on the DX.I was able to subscribe to a few podcasts like *** with Marc Maron with no problems.I was notified this morning that a new episode had been downloaded to the RAZR.I can not add my own podcast feeds , which means ones that I have paid subscriptions to will have to find a different application (PodTrapper is what I used on my DX).
The application was able to find my music easily and even downloaded the cover art While playing a song the application with scrob to Last.fm if configured.It will also download the Lyrics for the playing song and show them on the screen.The application will show recommended news, songs that are related.I did not have time to try out Motocast yet and I am hoping to get to it this weekend..While playing either a podcast or music you can have the application running in the background to listen and allows quick access via the notifications bar.If the screen is locked you have quick access to pause/play and skip forward/backwards in your playlist.I found this to work very well.One issue that I did find is that if you are listening to a podcast and you use the application to pause ( not from a lock screen ) it will not pause, but will end the episode and then you must restart and try to move to last place it was playing.A few things that could be added to make this perfect.
1. Allow me to add my own podcast subscriptions along with ones that require authentication
2. Fix the pause button for podcasts
3. Allow me to add Google Music and or Amazon Cloud Music as a music source
My only "complaint" is that whenever a call comes in or when I make a call, it always has it on the phonespeaker and not over the car dock audio connected to the radio. I have to press the speaker button to turn it off each time.way to have it default to the speaker being off?

I have been using Zumocast, but that's only a one way deal. You can stream and download files from PC onto the Bionic, but not vice versa.Also, I tried to download a 1.4 gig mp4 file but it doesn't fully download, and makes my notification area on my Bionic force close and the whole phone just wigs out and requires a reboot. So Zumocast needs to do some updates in order to support large file transfer.
Anyway, I am looking for a way to transfer files from my phone to my computer(s) wirelessly. I don't always have my USB cable around.
Im having the same issue as a lot of other people (so i read). Mine has progressively gotten worse. My data connection shows active (sometimes it doesnt) but I cannot transfer data. After multiple restarts/battery pulls, i have data connection but NO app will transfer data except the web browser and dolphin. Even Gmail will not sync. So i can surf the web, but cant check my gmail app, pageonce, etc, etc. Wifi/bluetooth work fine. MOST of the time I can still text / make calls but not always.
I am hesitant to do a factory reset as the last time i did this, it did not change the problem and i was stuck with nothing because i had no data connection to connect to my google account with (nor wifi, i was on vacation).
I can get a 4G signal rarely in home. At work and mobile I am usually 4G.I expect to be on 4G for a few years (5G anytime soon?) and was thinking of spending $$$ on a Wilson repeater to pick up 4G with a directional antenna and amplifier for home: url...I am a licensed Amateur Radio operator and the principals involved seemed sound to me.Also, does anyone know how to put the Bionic into Field Test Mode?

Home net is a std Verizon issued router (only thing custom is the net name, channel, and crypto key) and the Bionic is able to get on the wifi no problem.
View 3 Replies View RelatedGmail is my email. I long ago disabled the "conversation" (threaded) view of messages in Gmail iitself on the web, and in settings on any device. However, I can't find a way to do this on the Bionic. There's no option in accounts > Gmail. I HATE having the emails strung together like they were text messages. One of the major issues is losing attachments (ex: photos) in earlier emails once additional ones have been added to the "thread."
View 1 Replies View RelatedHave experienced this with a couple of applications (Freecaddie Pro and My Tracks) the program is suppose to store to SD card and it saves to internal memory. Spoke to the developer of Freecaddie and he checked and it is suppose to save courses to SD but Bionic saves to Internal Memory. With My Tracks even when I pick "Save to SD card" is saves it to Internal Memory. What is up with that and is there a way to correct it?I know my SD card is working because I have moved pics and music to it without a problem.

View 4 Replies View RelatedBefore the latest software update, there was a setting in call settings called personal profile that let me select to have the sound silence when turning phone upside down and/or by tapping screen 2 times. There was also a setting to end a call by clicking the power off button. I can no longer find these settings. Will they bring them back in a future software update? I miss these features!
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I open a contact, click on his/her Facebook icon, I can select 4 options, "View Profile, Send Social Message, Write on wall, and Poke." When I choose "View Profile", it opens a mobile Facebook webpage in a browser window and opens my news feed, but not his/her profile.
I have tried with both the stock browser and Dolfin HD as my default browser. I've added my FB account to google and also have the (mostly useless, IMHO) Facebook app. I've deleted and readded my Facebook Account as well. My contacts show their FB profile pic, and I can poke and write on his/her wall. Behavior is the same from within the social networking app.
Is my expectation that his/her profile open when I click "view profile" wrong?
I know there was an open thread but couldn't find it. I still can't register my phone in my profile. I input the phone and the serial number but it doesn't stick.

I wiped out my Bionic and then re-set everything up, and it was working fine until I added my FB account, and then removed the account. Now I can't add any new accounts at all.
Since I updated last week, my phone has been randomly switching itself to a loud profile on its own.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI was trying to link my mom's contact to her facebook profile, and so I added her full name-- Kathy Jones. However, my phone auto synced her to another facebook contact... Katie Jones. On her contact card, I added my mom's cell number and email address, neither of which is the same as Katie's. However, my phone autosynced it with Katie, adding in her phone number and email address to the contact card. AND, because it is a facebook contact, i'm told "facebook contact information is not editable on this device" It's not a dealbreaker, just annoying, as the wrong photo shows up when my mom calls, and I'm afraid that one day i'm going to accidentally select the wrong number/email address.Is there anyway to unlink these? I don't want to disable all facebook syncing, as i like being able to quickly access profiles of my other contacts, and have photos connected to them. I'm just looking for a way to manually tell my phone that these two people, despite having the same last name and similar first names are not, in fact, the same person.

However, less than half of my Gallery pictures made it over. Because the Gallery is a stock app and not in the marketplace it is not on the the above market transfer desktop application.I also have astro and estrong on my device.

View 12 Replies View RelatedAfter reading the posts here about assigning a different texting app rather than using VZWs stock texting app, I decided to try it. I disabled the stock app, which DID remove it from the lock screen. It left a blank space. When I dragged down toward it, it opened the camera app instead.
I noticed in Manage Apps> App Info that there is a selection called Launch by Default/No defaults set, and a button marked Clear Defaults. This section is grayed out in every single app in manage apps; how to enable it? I'd like to disable VZW text messaging, and enable Google Talk in its place.
Secondly - after the ICS update, I now have multiple references to the same apps in Manage Apps>All Apps. There are three separate references for Backup Assistant Plus, and two for Google Maps. Looking at App Info, some are the old versions (pre ICS) and some are the new ones (post ICS). Is there a way to delete the old references and clean things up a tad?
I just got out of a live chat w a Motorola rep, and they had no answers either. Or maybe I should quit digging into the phone and just enjoy it? LOL it's like picking at a scab.
How do you change the menu options? And by menu, I mean when you use the drop down notification bar and tap the icon in the upper right. On mine, I have "Owner", Brightness, Settings, etc. I'd really like be able to silence my phone from this menu. There are more spaces, so I feel like I should be able to change what's on there. And also, how do I set myself as the owner?
