First, I tried search. Its worthless and even the mesage that is supposed to tell you how to use it is broken.Recently I have had trouble with the slide out keyboard. It is putting 2 or 3 characters in the message before I can lift my finger. Is this a hardware failure or is there a way to control the speed of this repeat like on a PC?This is a real PITA as I hate the on screen touch keyboard.

The designers of the N8 left out a HUGE camera setting, and that is the ability to directly control the shutter speed.
Right now the N8 cannot do things my old Sony Ericsson C905 can do, and that is slow down the shutter speed to take long 1sec+ photos at night.
So, you will never be able to use a tripod and capture tail lights from cars like this effect. I hope this gets address with a software update. Nokia is crippling this Carl Zeiss optics with limitations.
Is there a way to control the amount of shutter speed/time while taking a photo with the 808?

I am not to concerned about having 4g at this time, my primary use of my current Droid (D1) is so I can have my photo albums with me and organized the way i need them to be (that's why I will not get an Iphone) when I go to conventions as I need to be able to go through them with vendors. My current issue with the D1 is its slow response time when going through the albums and apps, how do you think the Razr is going to perform when dealing with photo albums and opening and closing pictures in a quick manor. The lagging is irritating when most of the vendors I deal with have Iphones and can go through the pictures a lot quicker then I can.

View 3 Replies View RelatedComing from a Razr Maxx that had issues, I am accustomed to checking my Running Apps list following a start-up/power cycle and force stopping the ones that are not essential to the phone functioning properly. And it seems old habits die hard as I caught myself doing just this on my Turbo and, what do you know.. some of the same apps are running immediately after start-up, despite the fact that I haven't opened them. A few of the culprits are Password Keeper and YouTube. I do use/open these apps on occasion (1-2 times per month) but I certainly do not like them running automatically for no reason. Nothing I do on the phone on a daily basis requires them to be open. It's a PITA to have to go in and manually tell them to shut the heck up! (Yes, I have gone into the settings on each of these apps but there is no box to uncheck to not have the app run on start-up.) So, it would be ever so nice to be able to have a say on what runs and what doesn't

I have done an FDR and cache wipe. I have disabled and reenabled maps. Nothing helps. After several days with Jelly Bean I am becoming more and more convinced that ICS was a better OS. As such, I can use the phone handsfree (which is great, of course) and the phone can stream music to my car's audio system (which is OK, but not something I really use).Problem is, if I use Google Maps for driving directions or Trapster, I cannot hear any of the phone's output unless I leave my audio system on bluetooth. That means I cannot listen to the radio/CD, etc.The "Connect to..."screen shows checkboxes for the two active profiles. Yet, when I deselect the Media profile, it shows as deselected for a second or so and then automatically reselects itself.So, it appears that there is no way to force the phone to stick only to the Phone profile and ignore the fact that the car supports other profiles.

Sometimes ( not always or consistently) when I am done listening to radio I lose my volume controls. I exit the app and my volume controls on the side of the phone no longer work for some reason? I have tried to end the FM radio tasks with no success. The only way I have found to get my volume controls back is to power down the phone and reboot it. The phone has been factory reset, and it has been replaced and I still have the same issue.

Battery Life has dropped dramatically. No universal volume controls for messaging and calls (For example if I want to adjust my phone ringtone to be very soft by using the rocker switch on the side it now only controls just the phone ringer. Messaging would still be at the volume you have the settings at. Previously the rocker switch controlled all volume.)

The BlueAnt offers voice-controlled speed dial on with phones that "adhere to the Bluetooth specification for speed dialing."For example, I should be able to say "Call Speed Dial 8", and the headset would tell the phone what to do. The V1 recognizes my commands (and repeats them), but when it sends them to the Eris, I always get a last-number redial.I suppose that means the Eris isn't fully Bluetooth compliant. Odd for a relatively new phone. Any hope in getting this to work? (and is this the best place to ask?)

It is also able to detect if you are using an iPhone or Android and adjust accordingly. It worked great with my G2. It could fast charge my wife's G2 and my G2 at the same time. And for the life of me i cant get any normal speedtesting sites to work that measure how fast my data is.First I tried using the built in browser(Obigo Browser Q04C1-1.17) with http://mobilespeedtest.com and when running the test it gets stuck at the test running page and never redirects to my results. The second site I tried with the browser is http://text.broadbandreports.com/mspeed in which if I try to run a 1M test I get the message that the maximum download size has been exceeded. None of the smaller test sizes are large enough to produce results.

I used to use EVO 3D, and had touch screen problems. So I just changed the Photon. I got a problem with the 4G (wimax) connection speed. I used the speedtest app to test the speed and my speed kept falling in the 2xx range, while I have 2 or 3 bar signal. This even happened during the mid night. It is even slower than my 3G ev-do rev.A.By the way, how can I reset the radio? I used to be able to do it with ##3282# on the EVO 3D. However, I can't find it on the Photon.
