View 1 Replies View RelatedMy former Android phone had an app that was able to speed dial one of 8 people even when the phone was locked. It appeared on the lock screen and was able to dial one of 8 numbers with a single press and swipe. It dialed based on the direction of the swipe.
Is there something similar for Windows 10 Phone? I'd rather not need to unlock the phone in order to dial one of my most called contacts.
It doesn't have to be an app that behaves exactly like this. Just curious how others have efficiently handled speed-dial.
Is there anyway to increase the number of Speed dials? All my previous phones had as meany as 99. The Droid X only has 9 and one of these is programed for voice mail only.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just found a problem with my Bionic today. I was trying to access my voicemail and had to hit the number 1 on the dial pad during a call to enter my mailbox number.
The number 1 would not do anything during the call. All other numbers worked. If I kept trying to press the number 1 the screen would go black for a second then return with the dial pad. A factory reset did not cure it.
I went to a local Verizon store and the person there told me that this is a known issue and it only happens when the volume is up full. He then said that I have to put the volume down to 1/2 in order for the number 1 to work properly during a call
I called Motorola when I returned home and was told that this is not a known issue - they never heard of it.
Researching on Google and this Forum I have found others that have had this same issue. I have not heard of any resolution yet.
Both Motorola and Verizon Phone Tech Support recommended replacing the phone. Verizon Tech Support was supposed to call me back in an hour after my call with them to see what I wanted to do but never did. I was supposed to keep trying the number 1 after they had me force stop and clear the dialer and virtual keyboard. The problem still exists.
I only have a matter of hours before my 14 days is up at Verizon at which point I will be given a refurbished phone. For some reason I could not log onto this forum today to post this. I just now got in.
Do any other owners of the Bionic experience this? I don't want to replace the phone if they all do it. It's down to the wire now!
I would like to know if I can use voice commands to dial a call and then dial into an extension or conference number. I often take conference calls while I am driving and being able to get into the conference room without manually dialing would be great.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am using a Droid Eris and a BlueAnt V1 earpiece. The BlueAnt offers voice-controlled speed dial on with phones that "adhere to the Bluetooth specification for speed dialing."For example, I should be able to say "Call Speed Dial 8", and the headset would tell the phone what to do. The V1 recognizes my commands (and repeats them), but when it sends them to the Eris, I always get a last-number redial.I suppose that means the Eris isn't fully Bluetooth compliant. Odd for a relatively new phone. Any hope in getting this to work? (and is this the best place to ask?)
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen placing a phone call the Droid Pro seems to dial the number then as connection is being made it automatically ends the call. Then it automatically redials the number and it connects properly. This was acceptable until I tried to use the blue tooth connection in my car. How do I fix this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI would like to know if it is possible to change this number from within the phone. Right now it is not calling the proper number for voicemail.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am not able to understand the behavior of photons stock dialer application. Say I have 3 gmail contacts with phone numbers listed in order mobile first and Home afterwards:
Mike
Mob:XXXXXXX
Home:YYYYYYYYY
Dan
Mob:AAAAAAAA
Home:BBBBBBBBBB
Tim
Mob: CCCCCCCCC (set as primary selected)
Home: DDDDDDDDDD
To dial Mike from the Dialer, i key in 6453, Its brings up Mike with Home number
To dial Dan from the Dialer, i key in 326, Its brings up Dan with Mobile number
To dial Tim from the Dialer, i key in 846, Its brings up Tim with Home number
As you can see above the behaviour seems to be random. I want it to always bring up the mobile number. For this I tried couple of things below (did not work):
1. Deleted all contacts from phone and gmail and imported to gmail from csv again ensuring the order of phones listed is correct. I even verified after sync to photon that the order is mobile first and then home for all contacts.
2. Tried setting Mobile number as primary number by pressing the number under contact and setting it as primary (like for Tim above).
Having searched high and low, I am still unclear as to wether my Xoom WiFi is capable of dialing a simple telephone number. This eminates from my asking Speaktoit Assistant to dial a number and she keeps saying that she is unable to find that name in the contact list. I am using GoogleVoice Contacts.
Is the problem that Xoom WiFi can only access numbers that are on an installed microSDHC card?
I do not have one of these cards to install yet. If someone can tell me if Xoom WiFi can do this, please tell me what I need to do.

View 5 Replies View RelatedSince yesterday my Blackberry is constantly displaying the following message: "Assign a Speed Dial to the R key?" Although it gives me the option to press yes / No, I can't actually press no! Pressing yes takes me to the address book, but only allows me to type R - whatever else I try to do! In a message, the touchpad now also prints Rs. It keeps appearing, and now when I type a message, the letter R keeps appearing at odd times, either lower or upper case. I have rebooted (i.e. taken battery out many times, to no avail!

View 3 Replies View RelatedToday the dialing features on my relatively new (summer 2009) Storm started going strange. When in the phone dialing screen, if I press and hold a number key with an associated speed dial number, the phone would dial another number elsewhere on the speed dial list (e.g. press and hold "3" made the phone speed dial the phone number assigned to "5"). After removing and replacing the battery and rebooting, the trouble didn't clear. In fact, things got stranger. The phone would not dial voicemail when the "1" key was held down (even though the speed dial list still listed the correct number, etc.) When I cleared and tried to refill my speed dial list, no number keys on the keypad would make the speed dial spring into action. But, pressing and holding the "3" key did make the phone ask if I wished to assign a speed dial to the number "5" as though that were the key I'd been pressing.Suggestions?

- press the blackberry "menu" key, scroll down menu and select "view", then "speed dial list";
- highlight the "A" Lock Keypad, then press the "select" ball : result screen goes dark and have to hit unlock button; or alternatively, execute same steps, except press the "enter/return" on keyboard: result screen is locked. After reading the instructions; they mentioned pressing the "enter" symbol at the far right,I don't have an enter button as noted, what am I missing?
