View 6 RepliesI have had my Motorola for a long time, and now there is a lot of dust behind the camera lens. BEHIND, not on it. in the pictures you can see spots from this, and I was wondering if there is a way to remove the lens and clean it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I've had this problem for quite a while. There is 2 black dots in the lens, pictures and videos I took. I've got no idea how to get rid of them. Can someone please tell me how to open the it properly so I can clean the lens? Heres how it looks like.
View 6 Replies View RelatedLately I've noticed that the pictures that I take with my phone aren't as good as they used to be. When I took a close look at the camera lens, I noticed that there appeared to be dust on the lens. Does anyone know how to remove the lens for cleaning, or is there another way of removing the dust?
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe front-facing camera on the Nokia 920 getting dust particles inside the lens? This should be a very sealed area. I don't work in dusty environments, etc. Just a normal office IT Professional, and is in a case most of the time and rarely in a pocket.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy week old defy+ has a tiny gap between the screen and the bezel edge, about a pin heads width apart. Not noticible, but after living in a pocket dust gets stuck in there. Is this normal? What should I do?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI brought my Defy in October 2011. Since then it was four times at service. Dust keep entering behind the screen, mainly at the top left corner. Two times they cleaned it and replaced some rubber parts there. Nothing changed, after one or two weeks the dust appeared again. I asked them to send me a new one, but they refused it. A month ago they send me back the same phone without even cleaning it with notes that I'm using it in highly dusted environment against the IP67 (which is theoretically impossible in my country) Now, the whole upper part of the screen is dusted (see photo) and the screws are damaged due to the continuous repairs.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy phone has multiple resets ad the direction of Motorola, and has been in for a circuit board replacement. Now the screen still freezes and the reception is hopeless.I am sure this handset is a lemon. It is still under warranty, 11 months old.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there any way to disable that dragging the small camera lens cover turns on/off the camera? if that option doesn't exist (I guess it because I searched for it long wise) is a big fail in N97.
View 8 Replies View RelatedJust loaded 2.2.2 onto my Singapore region Defy. The OS upgrades are fantastic! My default camera now has a repositionable focus box!
Only problem is that it does not focus at all! Moving the box around does absolutely nothing! Additionally, if I use the flash, it just takes a all black photo!?
My Motorola Defy display's the camera upside down on screen... I have tried everything to try and fix this including going to the cellphone store I got it from and they did a hardware reset on it to no avail
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a problem: my nokia n97, make photos with dark point in left. I think is a dust point beacuse before it is on the up-right corner. You can help me take this point out?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just noticed that the lens is foggy. I think it's on the inside.... Is there anything I can do about this?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just installed the update on my phone and now the camera is not working correctly. It will takes a photo but the photo will not show up on the screen - it's just black. The camcorder function works fine.
View 2 Replies View Relatedrecently ive come into a few issues with my N97 and my local nokia care center for that matter.as far as i am aware, nokia has acknowledged that the earlier model N97 had a design fault with the camera assembly where the lens slider is mounted too close to the glass, and as a result, was easily scratched.from my research a while ago, nokia acknowledged this and that it would be covered under warranty, and that they would replace the camera assembly with a newer model that doesnt have this issue.
however, my local nokia care centre refuse to acknowledge the issue and has caused my a lot of problems. the first time i brought my phone in, they correctly replaced the camera assembly with the new one. however, they somehow managed to stop the phone from recognising any sim card. so i brought it back in again, and this time they replaced the phone with a blank N97, however, this n97 had firmware issues and had the original camera slider with the design fault, and they continued to act rude and said that i didnt know what i was talking about and continued to insult me stating that it is not an acknowledged issue with the phone.
now, can someone confirm for me, or better yet, supply me with a link about the official nokia statement on this matter?
n97 is indeed a nice phone and i really don't regret my investment but i'm facing a problem with it's camera. I've learnt from the net that there was a problem with the cover which is too close and did scratched the lens. The result is that at night or in areas with low light the picture quality is very very bad. That's what happening with my n97. Nokia said to return it to their dealer to make the necessary to solve the problem and that's what i did, but there they are saying that it's my fault and that i've scratched it myself. How can i proof that's it's a common problem with that phone??? help plz... i previously has a n95 with a very good camera, sold it, and now can't accept having bought a more expensive one which should be better with it's double flash etc.and be so disappointed.

There looks like there's a piece of grey metal hanging almost halfway down past my camera lens behind the glass. I don't know why it's like this. I also have had trouble focusing up close and I think this is the cause. I tried taking a picture of my hands up close and it focuses just fine, yet his doesn't have something hanging down. My friends claimed this this thing hangs down too.

After last upgrade to 2.2.2 I see the following problem: when flash is triggered while taking a photo the result is a completely black picture; when no flash is used photo is fine. I have rebooted the phone but it does not help.
View 13 Replies View RelatedSince updating to 2.2 the scenes and flash on my camera are disabled. Is there a way to correct this that anyone knows of.
View 1 Replies View Related(very low) noise similar to a rotating motor. It seems its the camera motor noice. My question is that is it normal to hear such sound or something is worng with my camera hardware. This sound is coming siince I have purchased the mobile, but never took it serously though I am afraid now if its a hardware problem. Also is there any way to improve the image quality, I can see that the by default Android camera app store all the images with 90% quality, can we make it 100%.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy camera and camcorder don't work, I take a photo with the camera and it does all the right things but does not save the image, the camcorder pushes you out of the camcorder screen when you push the record button and back to the home screen, I have tried to clear the Cache data under phone settings. If I turn the phone off and on again it works fine for a little bit but I shouldn't have to do this everytime I want to take a photo or movie.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi had my n900 for a while now.camera lens cover(top part) has peeled off from its glue and the wire makes the cover open and close came loose by itself. i have the warranty but i do not want to send my phone just for the cover for 2 weeks. is there any place on web that i can order the lens cover only and replace it my self. its very east to remove since its plastic base.i only have the blue base on the phone now and it is loose so its keep opening the camera mode. very annoying. please help.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI noticed that the camera lens of my N8 is not at the center. So, I was wondering whether it's also the reason why my camera is off focus, yielding blurry photos and videos.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've recently bought a Defy+. Now that can hear a flickering noise when I turn on the camera. I tried tweaking the settings and everything but the problem is still there.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded my defy (with optus) to android 2.2 and haven't had many issues.
One thing that bugs me is when i take images with my camera now, they don't appear in the gallery. The small diplay on the bottom left displays the image but as soon as i click on it to view the image it appears to delete it.
It was a problem since many days but i ignored it. But now whenever i open the lens cover of the camera, it doesn't open the camera instead i've to press the lens cover hard down to activate my camera. Also there is a gap down highlighted with circle and the black lens cover is slightly coming in front of camera again highlighted by an arrow.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've noticed when I was taking a picture in low lighting conditions with the newly installed camera lens so that means it won't produce scratches that I can see flashflooding.there is a hazyness over the left side of the picture.
View 10 Replies View Related"On occasion, the camera lens cover of the N97 can cause scratches on the lens. Nokia has acknowledged that on many devices the cover is mounted too closely to the lens so that dust and debris can cause scratches.[8] On later models however, this issue seems to have been resolved."
How can I know that the one i am going to buy is one of the "later models"? I do not complain about that specific camera lens problem, but it's always nice to buy the most recent hardware. I just want a way to know what hardware version is the phone I am going to buy. Is it written on the box? What's the format? Screenshots?
So I purchased an iPhone 4 about 2-3 weeks ago, and I'm really careful where I set it down as to not scratch it. (My local bar tender knows to put two coasters down, one for a drink and another for my iPhone), but I recently noticed that on the back camera that the glass is really scratched up that covers the lens. My question is: does anyone know how I can go into a store and get them to switch out my old one for a new one? Like a guaranteed problem I can report that they will swap it for?
