i just got a motorola Atrix 2, I have tried eveything ive been told to set a texting tone of my own music as my texting tone, I have read the directions! Could anyone else help me get my music into my texing tones?
View 1 RepliesI am unable to send a contact detail to another mobile via SMS. Tried going trough contacts, select contact, menu, share, selecting text message. MMS gets selected automatically. After adding recipient & touching send an icon appears in the notification bar & disappears after some time. After some more time a message apears in the notification bar saying that the message was not sent.
View 4 Replies View RelatedHas anyone else had a problem with their Atrix while texting where the phone (or keyboard) adds a different letter arbitrarily while typing. In my case my phone adds the letter "Q" however its in lower case. I have removed battery and restarted multiple times. No better.

Am I the only person who is unable to figure out how to play system notification tones over a bluetooth ear piece? My old Moto Q did. What I'm talking about is to have meeting warning tones and e-mail / text message arrival tones play thru the earpiece. For that matter - why can't we redirect ALL sounds that go to the phone's speaker go to bluetooth???
I have missed more meetings and not responded fast enough to a number of e-mails because of this.
Anybody have a way to make this work? I haven't found anything in the market place that works.
Ring/Notification tones randomly change after media rebuild
I had to rebuild my media library to get rid of some "ghost " image thumbnails in the gallery. I deleted all data associated with Media Storage and rebooted.
This totally hosed up my Ring/Notification tones. Why should a rebuild of the media library make a difference?
My most desired mobile gamecomes out for the phone i'm using, but I can't use it?

I am using Eclipse for development and have been trying to test an app on my phone but am unable to install it because the phone does not show up on the list of available devices in Eclipse. I have followed all directions to the letter and still no go. I am using the USB cable that came with the device. The Android version on the phone is 2.3.4.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI am attempting to remove my old MySpace account from the My Accounts section of MotoBlur, but it is not working.
When I go into my accounts, I don't see an icon for MySpace any more (I understand that MotoBlur is no longer compatible with MySpace). Instead, I see a green icon with my MySpace account email. Below the email is [URL]. When I try to remove this account, it just stays there.
The MySpace information is still embedded in my contacts as well. Is there a workaround to get this removed?
I just received my Atrix HD today, and it refuses to recognize my verizon.net email address! I'm completely frustrated as to what to do. Every time I try to configure the email it says my password is incorrect. But of course, I can connect to my email fine from my home network via PC and laptop.I was really looking forward to using this phone. If it is a technical issue between Motorola and Verizon, I'll have no choice but to return the phone.

I like the way gallery is presented and thar u can easily view friends pictures from facebook. And of course I love smiley. However, I still cannot record a message while in an active call.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI purchased a Atrix2 sometime back but just recently was looking to connect it to my PC to download some stuff onto the phone.When I connect my phone to the PC (windows 7 64 bit), the PC is not able to install the required drivers for my motorola phone. It fails with an error that says failed to install something called "ADB" drivers. The phone and car find each other, the phone asks for the PIN code and it says connected. I've noticed recently that my Atrix will no longer unmount the internal storage (either when I select it from SD card & phone storage or when the Atrix is mounted via USB as a USB Mass Storage device). I have no issues with unmounting the external SD card.
When I try unmounting it from SD card & phone storage, it looks like it is going to unmount but doesn't and Unmount internal phone storage turns white again.
Could an app somehow be causing a lock on it somehow? Is there a way to find out which apps are utilizing the internal storage?
I am using my Atrix 2 only on WiFi (I have taken out of sim Card) in a foreign country.Google Maps, News and Weather apps are not able to determine my current location.Also, the stock weather widget inaccurately determines the location. Also when I go to google.com and yahoo.com from my browser, it goes to the customized page of the foreign country. Also, the location is enabled for WiFi and disabled for GPS. Since, I only using WiFi, using GPS is not useful.

I am not able to hear the voice of caller. But the caller was able to hear properly without any issues.However, When I try to call any customer care phones, I am able to hear the automated voice too.It does not to make sense to me why I am not able to hear the callers' voice (only if it is humans).

If I connect the phone to my PC via USB, though, whether I choose USB Mass Storage, or Windows Media Sync, I can't get the valid photo files transferred it seems. The transferred files would be "invalid" to open on my PC running Windows 7. If I choose Windows Media Sync, and then use Windows Media Center to Import the files, it would always get stuck at ~45% completion. The imported files can be opened, but then the rest somehow can't even be transferred.
I used to have data and device encryption on. I turned both off when I found out about this problem, but the same issues remain.
I am having the following significant corporate sync issues with Contacts and Calendar after upgrading my Atrix to Gingerbread 2.3.4. 4.5.91.MB860.ATT.en, Calendar events entered on Atrix do not show up on Outlook (exchange server) through corporate sync. Events entered on Outlook do show up on Atrix. Events originally entered in Outlook and then modified on Atrix disappear in Outlook although they remain on Atrix. When I add a picture to a contact on the Atrix the "file as" disappears in Outlook. When I add the "file as" back to the contact in Outlook the picture disappears from the contact on the Atrix. This is very annoying as I rely on the pictures associated with the contacts for phone, emails and messaging. In addition this makes it difficult to find my contacts in Outlook.

I touch the screen to install a free app, but the "accept and download" button does nothing when I touch it. However, I am able to purchase apps without any problem. My wife is having the same issue with her phone. Neither of us have installed any new apps lately, and I have tried an external hard reset with no success. This is incredibly annoying.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have the Arix 4G running Gingerbread 2.3.4 on AT&T. However, I cannot access the "Settings" menu option on the phone. It is not listed in the "All Apps" list and when on the home screen, pressing the menu button then "Settings" does absolutely nothing. I've factory reset the phone, twice externally.
I can't get any more phone details as the menu is inacessible. how else I can get the settings menu functionality back?
One problem I am having is that I will occasionally get an error message when trying to play a media file that I know the phone supports that says "the player does not support this type of file", or something like that. If I turn the phone off and back on, it plays fine, but will then give me the error later on in the day. The types of files I am trying to play are mp3 and xvid avi. One idea I have is that the music player widget is cause the problem because if you play an mp3, but then try to do something else while it plays(multitask) it will not play in the background like it used to. You have to actually go into the media player and create a now playing list. This is very annoying to me as I play a lot of media on my phone throughout the day and currently have to restart my phone 2 or 3 times.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen I receive a meeting invitation sent from Microsoft Hotmail / Microsoft Windows Live Mail / Microsoft Outlook to my Google Gmail account, I am unable to accept or decline the invitation from the Android 4.0.4 Gmail App. The Gmail App displays the email message as having an ".ics" attachment. Clicking the ".ics" attachment opens the event in the Android 4.0.4 Calendar App. Unfortunately, neither the Gmail App nor the Calendar App provide a way to respond to the sender with an indication of accept or decline. Further, the event on the calendar loses the information about the event organizer and instead incorretly shows me as the creator of the event rather than as an attendee.
A related issue is that the Calendar App insists on storing the event on the "Device calendar." More information on saving the event to the default calendar is described in the post "Problem saving meeting invites on RAZR." Android Issue 1257, "Calendar should support opening iCal .ics files" is also relevant.
Is there any way to use the ATRIX HD in a way that is compatible with iCalendar (.ics) format invitations? Test System: Motorola Atrix HD, Android 4.0.4.
I have the Atrix 2 and am unable to watch videos my friends post on facebook as I get some error type message. Yet my wife has the Atrix and she is able to view the same videos with no problems. What gives? Anyone have any clues as to how to fix this annoying issue?
