I seem to not be able to find a a way to turn off my vibrate when my sound is on and the reason I use the sound is so I don't have to hear my horribly loud vibrate on this phone sadly.I used the settings search and I looked at the notifications and sounds multiple times but I still can't find it.

If I have my volume for ringer/notifications set to vibrate and then I access Moto Voice (e.g OK Moto X, what is the weather?) for some reason the volume on ringer/notifications is increased to close to 70% of max. I can actually "see" it happen if I press the volume rocker down to vibrate and then initiate a Moto Voice command. (I am talking about the window that shows up at the top of the phone when you change volumes - I can see it change from vibrate to 70% of max).

View 2 Replies View RelatedJust noticed that sounds will start out at a low volume for first 2 seconds then jump to normal volume thereafter. It is easily reproduced by choosing ringtone sound and previewing or setting countdown timer in the clock app and listening to the expiration alarm. Checked sound and notification settings and didn't see any choice for turning a feature like this on or off.

So sometimes when I try to play a video on a website, the audio doesn't play. The media volume is all the way up and still nothing. I've even tried restarting the phone and nothing. Other times, they play just fine. If I do a search for that same video on Youtube, it plays fine.
View 3 Replies View RelatedGot this Q9c subscribed to Verizon (Alltel Plan). I want to do a couple of things but can't get anyone to show me how or point me in the right direction.
I want to:
1) eliminate the on/off sound and change it to vibrate
2) set up the apps (icons) I use the most in the first screen when the start key is pressed
3) set up a way to move data to the sd card and be able to see it quickly in the first screen selected after pressing the start key
When i turn off GG now on tap, i couldn't turn it on again.

I installed the update the Hangout today and ever since all my SMS messages vibrate in addition to my selected notification sound.
I have tried everything to turn this off. All the "Vibrate" check boxes are cleared and still it vibrates.
It does not vibrate for Hangouts messages only SMS. Yes, I know there is a separate setting for each message type. All of them have Vibrate unchecked.
I even tries restarting the phone, but that did not work.
I have moto x. Videos automatically downloading from whatsapp. I Want to turn off auto video download.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo I understand Priority Notifications is the new 'silent' mode but I can't get it working so that it has the same functionality as older Android versions.
I've set all priority notifications (events / calls / messages) off and choose to turn on priority notifications indefinitely but each day it reverts back to 'all' so I have to remember to turn it on every day.
Also, when in an app (e.g WhatsApp) and a new message comes through, it still makes a noise even though it's in priority notifications mode!
Pre-Lollipop, I was able to have a different ringtone for each contact. This was set in the 'Contacts' app. I can't seem to see how to do this in Lollipop.

So basically anybody can read my messages because hangouts will just automatically log me in. How the hell do you stop it from automatically signing you in? Can't find anything in settings and I've tried going into apps and deleting the hangouts cache and hangouts data. But it still signs me straight back in. It won't even let me delete the app either.
