Lumia 1020 :: Phone Not Showing The Correct Time Of Day
Feb 26, 2015My Lumia 1020 is not showing the correct time of day (about 2.5 hours fast). When I got it, it did show the correct time of day, but now it doesn't, maybe this could be because I haven't put a sim card in it and activated it yet (just been using the camera).

Jun 23, 2014Since upgrading to Windows Phone 8.1 I can't seem to check someones phone number without ringing it.
- I go into the Phone App
- Bring up my address book, find persons name and select it
- If I have two numbers for that person it brings up a screen showing both numbers and I can select one if I want to ring it.
- But if I only have one number for a person, as soon as I select their name from the address book it starts ringing them
- Which is annoying if I'm just trying to find out what their number is so I can write it down...or dial it from a different phone.

Nov 20, 2012I have to manually set date/time as it never get it right It also is showing my operator as "Local network Operator" on the live tile
and on settings mobile operator is "23430" I have a UK T-Mobile Sim - so it should probably say "EE" now its merged with orange.That said everything works re calls/data.
Nokia Lumia :: Can't Create Correct Routes In Maps
Jan 6, 2013Why is it that when I'm creating a route in Maps, the outcome varies dependent on how I created the route, thus using the same route parameters?
I've created the same route using different ways of creating the route, and the created route is different every time. If I create the route in Maps using the search facility, the route is different if I use an address via the people and contacts interface. And again it is different when using Drive.
I made the discovery when a suggested route made a 16.2 km de-tour on a 11 km stretch. More than a 100%. I'm now wondering if I dare to use NOKIA maps for my summer trip to Italy from Denmark.
NOKIA - make a navigation app where I can define my own waypoints. This is essential in every navigation system. optimize the app, so I can choose an alternative route - this is basic in most modern navigation systems.

Nov 20, 2015I have a Nokia 1520 and I love the phone. I have been curious about the autocorrect function and have tried looking for these options myself but I can't find answers.
1. my phone recognizes that cant and dont (without apostrophes) are misspelled words, but it still does not autocorrect them. It does pop up with word replacement and I can tap on the can't or don't suggestion, but why does the phone not automatically change it out?
2. is there a way to set which words I want replaced with something? I know the iphone has an option to switch out words but I can't find anything like that on my windows device.
I do not want to reset my dictionary as I have had the phone for a while, it is inconvenient and it seems like there would be an option to fix it.
Lumia 1020 :: Video Actually Stops At Correct Point
Mar 17, 2014On some videos (not all, can't figure out the reason), the trimmer seems to work correctly on my phone. Then I connect it to my Windows PC and copy it over. At that point, the file size is the original size before trimming. The video actually stops (QuickTime) at the correct point, but there's a coda on the file which is just a still of the last frame. But it plays like video until the original end point. I have a video limit for uploading to another site, and I can't figure out how to edit around this problem.

Oct 3, 2012I've had my Lumia 710 for a few months now and over the past week the remaining battery life percentage is way wrong. For instance, one day I noticed my battery icon was really low so I went to check the % and it said it was -4%. I was even able to make a 10 minute call and it never died on me. A few days ago I had about 70% but when I checked the phone a few minutes later it was around 10%. A few times I've even had it die on me and it never gives me the critical battery warning.This morning it was dead when I woke up so I brought my charger to work. After charging only 30 minutes it said I had 57% battery. But now 4 hours later I'm sitting at 98% and it looks like it won't go past that. Is something wrong with my battery or could the battery life indicator just be way off?

The "Checking for updates..." message will appear, but more than five minutes later, nothing happens. When the lock screen appears and I unlock it, it now says "Your phone is updated" but the "Last checked" date was the date of the last check when things are still ok.

I've tried master resetting phone, location services are on, battery and sim pull, no improvement. Checking for updates in phone menu, says phone is up to date, so no OTA available.

While some are stored as

As I am still on WP7 and my Daughter lives a little ways away from me, I decided to throw it out there if there is something in the settings in WP8 or on the L1020 I do not know about which kills the spell check. She has not red line under mispelled words and no suggestions as she types.

Jan 26, 2010my name is Lisa and I have a bold 9000 I was recently trying to sync my phone to my computer by using the desktop manager... It prompted me for the blackberry password on my computer. I entered my CORRECT!!! Password numerous times until it said one last attempt or all memory will be erase.. Being that the CORRECT password was not working I went to the password options on my bold and disabled the password.. As I attempted this a prompt showed up and said type in "blackberry" so I did then it said type in password, I typed in the correct password once again then it started wiping my phone.This is extremely frustrating I have... Well had =[... A lot of stuff on my phone and now it is all gone! And to top it all off it will not start up again, it says "reload software:513"I don't understand why this happened and I found several other people on online forums who have had the same problem with no solution.Please help! May 12, 2014I create a folder on my laptop an paste 50 photos in it. Then, I rename all photos with numbers 000-050. On my Windows laptop, the photos are sorted correctly (001, 002, 003, ... 049, 050).
However, after copying the entire folder to my 1020, some of the photos are not sorted correctly anymore. A few of them appear somewhere in the middle of my album (folder). The problem is on the phone only.When I connect the phone with my laptop, the photos in the folder (on the laptop) is shown correctly.
