IPhone :: Passcode Locked - Even Putting The Right Passcode?
May 12, 2012Changed my passcode lock from letters back to numbers. I know what numbers i picked for the lock but the phone won't let me in! Tried a number of combinations but none worked! Has it ever happened that an iPhone won't let you in with the correct passcode? Does it usually malfunction when you switch back to numbers? And most importantly - is the only solutioin to reset the phone???

May 28, 2012I accidentally locked my phone last night and this morning I wanted to use my phone but, it was asking for a passcode. I didn't remember a passcode and thought if I did I'd make it something really simple like 0000 but, it wouldn't open it. Everytime I tried a new code, it kept pushing the time back that I could try again and now it says try again in 60 minutes. I can't use my phone at all

May 6, 2012my son attempted to unlock my Iphone 4 after I changed the passcode. He tried so many times that it disabled my Iphone. I know the passcode, but it will not allow me to enter it. How can I fix this issue? This seems to be a common issue, but the only thing I see that can be done is to reset your Iphone which will delete everything. I have pictures on it I can't lose.

Tried to back my data up to an old iPhone4 (ios6). I can't back up via the cloud because the phone I'm baking up to is running an older version of iOS than the phone with my data on it. I'm trying to back up from iTunes but can't b/c I can't enter my passcode on the shattered screen. I only have backups on the cloud. I have never backed this phone up to my computer. Because I was told iCloud back ups were good enough. But now I'm stuck in a catch 22.

The icon itself looks differetn and it pulls up the screen so I can slightly see the camera at the very bottom but then bounces back to the home locked screen. What is wrong and how can I fix it. I have a 2 year old and love this feature because it quickly captures the moment.

Apr 10, 2012I recently upgraded my iphone 3GS to the IOS 5.1 however i have noticed that now i am unable to use the camera whilst my phone is locked.
I can use the button but the screen kind of jumps up, like when you double click the home button, to reveal the bottom part of the camera, the shutter and camera/video camera slide, but then the locked page comes back down to hide the camera. Also the function button isnt properly formed, i have the camera but instead of being in a box just the top and bottom lines are shown.

Mar 30, 2012Recently I tried to take a photo from my locked screen. Usually I just double click my home button and the camera pops right up and I can take a picture. This time though, the camera icon does pop up, but when I go to click it the camera icon just "jumps" and will not open the camera option. It's very annoying for when I just want to take a picture, now I have to go through the motion of unlocking my phone and going to the camera. OH, also on the locked screen, the camera icon has two lines, both over and under it.

Sep 13, 2010I ordered my Vivaz last Saturday and received it in my local store on tuesday. It is now Sunday, five days later, and the touchscreen is completely not working. I was looking at a google map one minute, locked the phone and put it down, then I received a text and couldn't unlock the phone to read it. i now have three texts sitting on my phone and I can't access them. I've just come on a week's holiday with my children but my husband is still home, and I need to be able to contact him! I only have a quarter battery left on my laptop and I'm coming to my wits end - how do I keep in touch with my husband while I'm on holiday? We're only in Devon! I need to know either what I can do to the phone to get it working (tried removing battery several times but no effect) or can I go to the nearest vodafone store and get a replacement in store? I can't take it in to my local store until next Monday, although I will be working then so it's not that easy to get into town. HELP!!! I need a phone right now, and this is so not funny, and I'm not impressed.

Feb 1, 2010So I received a Canadian Rogers LG Xenon a couple days ago, I am not able to get any gmail apps to function on it (gmail, maps etc).After some troubleshooting I think it is because of the fact that the Access point settings in the phone are incorrect (read: not all entered)yet they are locked and not editable.For the rogers Internet Profile which is used for Application Data usage it did not have a user-name and password setup for the account.

When i look on the phone it does appear to have these settings (minus username/password which are blank) so.I tried to simply create a new Profile (new profile name also) to added the user-name and password but as soon as I enter the internet.com address the phone indicates that this access point already has a profile associated to it and you can not duplicate entries.Rogers Technical support also told me their "support" phone in the office was setup the exact same way and they could not edit it, and they do not 'support' gmail apps....I know other people have Rogers branded phones that are able to access gmail apps, could someone please verify if there accounts have the username and passwords set on their devices.The lady also said that the sim card is were this data is stored and that I should try putting my sim into a different phone to see if I could edit these settings there.....this doesn't sound correct to me, as this is my sim from my old phone were I manually entered all of these values.

Sep 24, 2015My wife turned her Galaxy S5 on yesterday, slid her finger across the scanner to open the phone and it came up with the print not recognised message (as it has many times before). This time however, it did not allow her to scan her print again. the screen changed and asked her for a back up password, not a problem as she has done this a fair few times too, it just seemed strange that it only allowed one stroke of the scanner before asking for this. We have tried her back up password many times (and any other password we could think of) but the phone will not unlock, nor will it return to the normal lock screen and allow her to try her print again.
We have logged onto Android device manager and tried the lock screen hack (to obtain another password) but it just tells us that the screen is already locked so another password is not necessary.

Jul 6, 2010I read on the front page how others were having the proximity issue like I was and that if you did a reset of settings then it could fox it. So I went ahead and did that. I went in and started changing all my settings back and I realized that the only option I had for my passcode was to require it immediately and not after 5 min like I usually do. I've done some searching and saw that a google or exchange account could cause this. But I only have mobile me.So that can't be it. The only other option I've seen is to do a complete restore.Whig I'd really like to stay away from. Does anyone have any ideas?
