May 12, 2012Changed my passcode lock from letters back to numbers. I know what numbers i picked for the lock but the phone won't let me in! Tried a number of combinations but none worked! Has it ever happened that an iPhone won't let you in with the correct passcode? Does it usually malfunction when you switch back to numbers? May 28, 2012I accidentally locked my phone last night and this morning I wanted to use my phone but, it was asking for a passcode. I didn't remember a passcode and thought if I did I'd make it something really simple like 0000 but, it wouldn't open it. Everytime I tried a new code, it kept pushing the time back that I could try again and now it says try again in 60 minutes. I can't use my phone at all

May 6, 2012my son attempted to unlock my Iphone 4 after I changed the passcode. He tried so many times that it disabled my Iphone. I know the passcode, but it will not allow me to enter it. How can I fix this issue? This seems to be a common issue, but the only thing I see that can be done is to reset your Iphone which will delete everything. I have pictures on it I can't lose.

Mar 14, 2012From browsing the Internet I see a lot of people trying to bypass the iPhone passcode lock. I have a similar but I think unique situation. I had a passcode set on my phone. I couldnt sleep two nights ago and vaguely remember playing with my phone settings. The next morning I went to use my phone and my passcode wouldnt work. With a sinking feeling I remember seeing passcode settings.
Needless to say I entered codes until I got the Connect to Itunes prompt.
Thinking iTune stored multiple backups, I connected my phone and made a backup not realizing I just erased the one from the prior week. So now I can connect to iTunes, tell it to restore, get the Cannot Restore theres a Passcode message, disconnect the cable, reconnect the cable, it syncs for a few seconds, then have access to the Passcode screen for another 10 tries until it locks again and I have to repeat this.
I dont want to reset and lose my data. In iTunes I can see my apps, music and movies. Is there a way iTunes can reset the passcode? I dont want to do the reset/restore for two reasons: 1) everthing I've read says I lose app data if I do that and 2) since I backed up after locking does that restore the forgotten passcode too so I end up in the same boat?

May 23, 2012I have been using the IPCU for a while now, however we are having more and more iPhones and iPads in the business and we are finding it more difficult to manage. To start with I enable a few security features, ie a passcode that is 6 digits and expires after 30 days. This is set to time out after 5 minutes and also to come into force if the device is switched off. Ok so that doesnt sound too difficult and we have overcome the issue (at our cost) with iPads and iPhones being setup at different times as we need to get the passcodes in synch.
My real problem (well two actually) is that if the person for whatever reason forgets their passcode their seems to be no way of resetting it over the air or with an admin override facility. That mean that they either have to keep guessing until they wipe the device or bring it to HQ to resolve. The second problem is that we are using EAS (exchange active synch) which is great and works well but when the passwords expire on their AD account the push notification then fires up the wrong password notification box and locks out their AD account. I know the easiest way is to not expire passwords but this is a legal requirement.
